#3254496 Panthers interested in bringing back Ted Ginn

Posted by panthers34 on 25 February 2015 - 06:54 PM

Wow it's not even that I want Ted Ginn back badly even though he would be a nice help, it's more that I never want to see Bersin return another punt ever again

#3252072 D Will says Panthers didn't reach out to him when his mother died

Posted by panthers34 on 23 February 2015 - 11:29 PM

Deangelo didn't do anything wrong and didn't bash the Panthers in anyway. He isn't even mad the panthers released him. Basically just said he's shocked he didn't receive much support from the team after his mom passed away.

Wow anyways I was expecting the one player that showed up to his moms funeral to be someone like Davis or Olsen, was pretty shocked to hear it was Hardy.

Oh god, the irony of Dlo in the background..

And maybe some foreshadowing that he's blocking Hardy

#3250033 Cam Newton should be paid more than Luck or Wilson

The Colts without Luck would be worse than the Panthers without Cam

#3247797 Gurley denying Knee examination at Combine.

Posted by panthers34 on 20 February 2015 - 02:39 PM

3rd round? He could go undrafted.

Look at Lattimore.

Gurley tore his acl. Lattimore tore everything in his knee

Huge difference

#3246846 GM Dilemma: Luke vs Cam

Posted by panthers34 on 19 February 2015 - 04:43 PM

Why do we only have to pick one when certainly both are going to be signed to a long term deal at some point.

#3246035 G-man is gonna have to open the checkbook to Cam, Kuechly, or somebody

Posted by panthers34 on 18 February 2015 - 10:12 PM

I'd pay Cam now before he gets more weapons and has a breakout year

#3246017 How do we address the secondary this offseason?

Posted by panthers34 on 18 February 2015 - 09:56 PM

Draft Durell Eskridge from Syracuse in the 3rd or 4th round. 6'4" 205 hard hitting ball hawk safety

#3244854 Time to cut DeAngelo Williams.

Posted by panthers34 on 17 February 2015 - 06:11 PM

He is our best running back.  Just because a bunch of guys with fresh legs come in late and run behind and improved o-line doesn't make them better.  What would I have invested in D-Will?  I am invested in having our best players on the field

Williams is our best RB, that is why the coaches were so anxious to get him back out there even with a broken hand

Stewart is much better and that's why he kept taking the bulk of the carries.

#3227596 Stupidest play call in the history of the NFL

Posted by panthers34 on 01 February 2015 - 11:28 PM

It was a dumb play but if it worked then we'd be calling the Patriots stupid for not calling a timeout

#3215697 SI.COM redrafts first round - 4 panther rookies selected

Posted by panthers34 on 21 January 2015 - 12:09 PM

Don't know what your beef is with Ealy. He made some big plays in the backfield in clutch situations down the stretch.

I had no problem with him. He started the season off slow and played well at the end. He just didn't strike me as a first rounder with the limited number of snaps he played and what he did with those snaps. He still played well and I think he was deserving of a second rounder not first

#3206362 Trade talk

Posted by panthers34 on 15 January 2015 - 03:01 PM

Any trades you'd like to see get done this off season? Maybe trade up in the draft or trade for a player.

Two I think would be interesting would be trade a draft pick to the Vikings for Cordarrelle Patterson or Matt Kalil.

Patterson would be a nice deep threat and a guy that can take a short screen pass or end around for a touchdown. Would also be a HUGE upgrade at kick and punt returner. I've even seen him play running back and score some big touchdowns there. The guy is just a play maker. The downside on him is he has questionable hands and route running, but he would be a nice weapon on offense and special teams for us.

I believe Matt Kalil hasn't lived up to expectations and hasn't preformed very well for the Vikings. Maybe he could use a fresh start on a new team. He is for sure a solid player and would be a nice upgrade at tackle. It would be pretty cool to watch him and his brother Ryan Kalil play together on the same line.

I would think to get either of these guys we would have to trade away a second round pick which I think is worth it.

What do you guys think and what other guys would you like to trade for?

Also would like to add that if Carter comes to Carolina, the Patterson trade would be very unlikely, but if Carter signs with the Vikings then I think Patterson trade would be a real possibility.

#3206327 Duron Carter had dinner with Rivera and Gettleman lastnight.

Posted by panthers34 on 15 January 2015 - 02:32 PM

Says he is still visiting with the Browns today and will make decision for next week. I hope we get him and I wish we never let him leave without a deal. Don't get why a lot of you think a dinner means he is for sure a Panther though because if you read the article that doesn't seem like the case at all.

#3203097 "The last 6 games"

Posted by panthers34 on 13 January 2015 - 01:09 PM

What's wrong with using that phrase? It's not like he didn't address the 10 games before that either. He mentioned that the first 10 games were ugly and that's why he made some of the changes he made. He was just saying that you really saw the team get healthy and come to live in the last 6 games which is true.  No need to hate on Rivera because he did a heck a job when it mattered and just got out matched on the road by the team that is probably going to win the Superbowl for the second straight year. Why would anyone want Rivera gone? So we can make a change that will only set things even father back and hire a different coach who we will probably all want fired within 3 years anyways.

Stick with Rivera because he's done a nice job with the cards he has been dealt and has the players respect. We probably wouldn't hire someone better than him anyways

#3147333 Harper Says TD Wasn't On Him

Posted by panthers34 on 21 December 2014 - 05:02 PM

It looked like a blitz with zone coverage to me. No way Lukes responsibility was deep middle from the MLB. Had to be Harpers fault. I blame the coaching too though, Harper should have been the one blitzing and Boston should be staying back because you can't trust Harper back there by himself
