#3059404 Cam is shell shocked.

Posted by Dollar Store Dave on Yesterday, 10:47 PM

My worry when it was said that Byron Bell would be the starting left tackle going into the season was that Cam would become shell shocked. I convinced myself that Cam was too far along in his career to get that way. Low and behold, he's shell shocked.

What is shell shock for a QB? Well, watch David Carr play. When he played with Houston, he had no time to throw. Every play, there was a defender breathing down his neck. eventually, he seen ghosts of players who weren't there.

Cam is there now. His footwork is suffering because of the constant pressure, his confidence is suffering because his offensive line is so bad. He's rattled. If we're not careful, it could have long lasting implications.

#3055077 Michael Irvin thinks we're the team set for the playoffs

Cam has cost us so many games by simply not throwing the ball away, oh and how about that shuttle pass that got picked off last week as well because he refused to throw it away. Hes a terrible decision maker

The only terrible decision around here is not perma-banning you.

I just need Colston to have a big game and a pick 6 from the Saints D would be nice also, ofcourse i hope all of this happens in a Panther W :)

I want to like this thread. But, my soul has been crushed by this season.

In my book, if we lose tomorrow night we should all start talking about the draft

I'd say that if we get embarrassed tomorrow (like the Green Bay game), I'd say we should start looking for new head coaches too.

Yeah, if we lose to thee Saints at home, we're in serious, 'season is almost over' trouble.

#3052923 David Foucault Starting at Left Tackle

Posted by Dollar Store Dave on 29 October 2014 - 12:00 PM

People remember the dozen or so times Bell has screwed up but he's started every game this season and played almost every snap. He held up very well for 90% of those plays. He doesn't get beat every time he lines up. He's not nearly as bad as people think. He's played well enough for us to win some games.

I'm not saying he's a great LT but he's no where near as bad as everyone makes him out to be.

I really hope Faucault excels and does a great job but an undrafted rookie who was playing in Canada last year does not feel me with great joy.

I'm much rather have Bell starting.

Bell is one of the worst starting tackles according to PFF in both run and pass blocking.

Who could play Dr Strange? Who could pull that off? Julian McMahon?

Right now, Cumberbatch is looked at. Ethan hawke is also being looked at, who is an awesome idea in my mind.

#3048760 Is there a decent LT on someone's practice squad?

Posted by Dollar Store Dave on 27 October 2014 - 12:44 PM

I doubt it. Else, he wouldn't be on a practice squad.

#3048569 Rivera's conference

How about "From top to bottom we all need to improve, the other coaches, and myself as the head coach included"?

Will we ever hear this from Ron?

This.

Not this passive-aggressive bullshit calling players out. It's time for Ron to sack up and put some blame on himself and his coaches, instead of saying, "well, if that rookie we're forcing the ball to as he's covered by Sherman hadn't drop the ball, we'd won the game".

So you are saying he didn't drop the pass and it wasn't a huge play?

I'm saying that he was defended against. If that's the one play that sticks out in your mind the most about the game, then you obviously have no recollection of what actually happened in the game yesterday.

Some of you are so blinded by your hate for some and love for others it's sickening. Benjamin played mostly well. But his easy drop in the endzone was a HUGE, HUGE, Kelvin Benjamin-sized mistake that very well could have cost us the game.

You know, it's almost like Benji is a rookie and was being defended by the best CB of the last five years, while getting the ball slapped out of his hands.

But sure, let's blame the guy who did the most right on offense.

Immediately blames Benji's drop in the end zone, even though Benjamin was one of the bright spots yesterday.
