#2308616 8-2-13 Camp Thread

That would leave Edwards, Pilares, Gettis, Adams and Bersin competing for other 2 roster spots.

The last 2 spots goes to AE and Adams.

#2308607 Panthers Camp featured on NFL Channel Today

Posted by dpanther69 on 02 August 2013 - 09:31 AM

Talked about a tradtional offense will help Cam and the team as a whole. Sterling Sharpe said he wasn't worried about what Steve and Brandon brings to the table, but a 3rd and 4th receiver needs to step up on 3rd down to help this team. They also said Cam can't be your leading rusher and the pressure isn't only on him but RR. They also said team need a minimum of 9 wins for all the negative talk to go away. There was more but that was what I picked up while talking on the phone.

#2297509 Rights to the Hornets Brand?

Posted by dpanther69 on 24 July 2013 - 09:27 AM

We own the name, what we don't own is the records, players, etc..

However, if we really wanted to we could acquire all the records and stuff like that. I think it would be a nice gesture to acquire the records and stuff that were exclusive to Charlotte, i.e.: Mugsy, LJ, Zo, attendance records, playoff appearances etc.

Teeray stated in another post that he read that New Orleans and Charlotte would be able to share the Hornets history. I am not sure of his source but maybe he can relay bthe source to confirm.

If you have nfl network all preseason games will be televised( Although tape delay). Also week 3 against the ravens is live I think on espn.

What does this mean?

I hope you don't think those stats mean Al Jefferson was a better signing than Dwight Howard.SMH

Dwight even at 75% healthy still led the league in rebounds. People are seriously starting to underrate Dwight Howard, just because he is hated doesn't mean we should start to compare him with lesser players. I love the Al Jefferson signing but he is no Dwight Howard.

Equal production for less money and drama.

Winning cures all if we win Cam will get positive reviews; as for Florio he is a dickless, spineless, tiny bitch of a man.

Why do Panthers fans hate NE? I don't understand how a NFC team in general hate an AFC team

For me it is Superbowl 38.

#2097545 Panthers want 125 Million in taxpayer money.

Posted by dpanther69 on 15 January 2013 - 06:55 AM

Quote in the Charlotte Observer.

Taxpayers got a good deal when Bank of America Stadium was built, at least compared with the subsidies given to many NFL teams.

The public spent about $60 million on land and infrastructure, but the team built the $187 million stadium itself. Some of that money came from the sale of Personal Seat Licenses, in which fans paid for the right to buy season tickets.

In Minnesota, taxpayers are paying for half of the cost of a planned $975 million stadium for the Vikings. In Indianapolis, the public paid for almost all of the new $720 million stadium for the NFL’s Colts, which opened in 2008.
