#2090224 More changes to come? Possible

Posted by dpanther69 on 11 January 2013 - 09:15 AM

I actually think it was Ron idea for Chud to seek a HC gig somewhere. This way Chud saves face by getting a gig elsewhere and not being fired a day after the WR and RB coaches were let go. Most agree on the huddle that Chud's early season playcalling was the reason for the team's 1-6 record maybe Ron felt the same way.

#2089643 What happens to Cam Newton now that Chud is gone?

He can develop into a better QB.

Mike Golic Sr is probably sick right now.

#2082328 Can Cam be our Franchise QB?

Posted by dpanther69 on 07 January 2013 - 09:39 AM

The whole team lacks maturity. Maturity in the sense of a winning culture. I think the team as a whole grew up some this year. In the off season they assume that they would do better because of how they closed out last season. They assume that things would be easlier. After starting out 1-6 I think the coaching staff and players received a wake up call after Hurney's firing. They all realize that they had to step their game up. They closed out 6-3 with the Denver game being the only game they weren't competative in. We will be okay with Cam and this coaching staff as long as they are willing to continue to grow.

#2077276 The Browns are closing in on Chip Kelly

Posted by dpanther69 on 04 January 2013 - 06:42 PM

He made his choice . Chip Kelly hasn't proved a thing. We had an offense that was geared more to make him successful. He chose Cleveland. Weeden is his QB. Good luck LOL. I'll take RR and Cam anyday over that coach/qb combination..

#2018980 UPDATE! Rick Reilly is a lying dingleberry clinging to his hatred of Cam...

Posted by dpanther69 on 27 November 2012 - 11:41 AM

If he does feel entitle that is the fault of the coached for making him the face of the franchise in his second year. I understand he is the QB, but Brady, Manning (Eli)Rothinburger (forgive the spelling)are the franchise QBs of there teams but their coaches are the face of the franchise and their organization reflex their coaches personality moreso than their QB. RR is weak minded who throws Cam out there to the media and doesn't nothing to take the heat off of him. Even Rex Ryan although not consider great bring the attention to himself and doesn't put his QB out there for the media to feast on.

#2006613 Be Honest, How Many of You...

laughed at every play leading up to it.

stared at the TV with a face of impassivity that ron rivera himself would be proud of for a couple of minutes in disbelief

wife offered me poon, declined

couldn't taste my beer anymore

didn't let the cat cuddle with me

said the f-word in front of my pregnant wife's belly, that'll probably be my baby's first word now

the panthers have turned me into a monster

Thanks for the laugh; your post made the pain go away.

#1969603 The root cause behind Rivera's poor decisions

Posted by dpanther69 on 28 October 2012 - 10:27 PM

Players take on the personality of their coaches. So if the coach is scared they play scared which lead to poor performance on the field..

#1964686 Mike Lombardi has 'inside info' on why Hurney was fired

Posted by dpanther69 on 26 October 2012 - 04:53 PM

I think he was the fall guy. It was meant to be a message to the coaching staff. They have twice had 10 or more days in between games and much didn't change with the offense. Now after the firing there is a sudden change in the offensive philosophy. It’s nothing like a little fear to get the message across. I think Rivera was clueless with what to do with the offense and allowed a stubborn Chud to tinker with a offense that everyone assumed would be well above average based on last year’s results. I know it has probably been said plenty of times before but with last year’s offense and this year’s defensive improvement we would have been 6-1 and the talk of the NFL.

#1957971 So I tune into talk radio a few minutes ago...

Posted by dpanther69 on 22 October 2012 - 06:41 PM

True the media is a "joke" but Cam has brought some of it on himself. He loves the camera during a TD celebration( while only earning a 7-15 record) but he (while being the face of the franchise) also needs to choose his words wisely while infront of the camera. To much is given much is expected. Some people on here blindly support Cam and find no fault in him whereas others can't wait to bash him and say I told you so. If we as Panthers fans can't agree on Cam what do you expect from the media. They are no different than the Huddlers on this board they voice their opionion. The one difference being they get paid to do so.

#1955917 Rivera... stay around the phone today...

Joe Person said there will be no news conference and RR presser will be push back maybe there will be more moves today hopefully Chud is gone.

#1954759 Thoughts on this quote?

Posted by dpanther69 on 21 October 2012 - 07:05 PM

The quote was directed toward Chud. Chud is the problem if he doesn't see his offense is ineffective he is either blind, crazy or stubborn. I feel he is stubborn and he is putting his pride before the team. So he should be let go as early as tomorrow and let Shula call the offense for the remainder of the season. This will light a fire under everyone. The remainder of the coaching staff will know that J.R. means business and although this season will be a wash it will give players some hope for the future.

Demon's or not; messed up or not; I am glad he plays for our Panthers. I love his fire we need more players with that fire and passion on the field instead of the guys that are happy to have a fat check but are non productive on the field.
