#3036539 Seattle Seahawks Preview, Sammi Jo costume options

Posted by LinvilleGorge on Today, 01:44 AM

I'm up here in Seattle now and will be through this coming Sunday. The Seahawks fans seemed pretty knowledgeable at the bar tonight. Lots of respect for Cam up here. I was shocked to hear a lot of fans straight up saying he's plain better than Russell Wilson. They're just shocked we haven't given him more help. We're all at a loss in terms of what has happened to our defenses.

#3034088 Colin Jones Ran a 4.3? Huh?

Posted by LinvilleGorge on 20 October 2014 - 10:09 PM

I'm all for giving Jones and Boston both a shot. It's very difficult to imagine that pair being worse than the DeCoud/Harper pair. At least the young guys can actually run. What's the worst that could happen? The D gives up 30+ points on our way to getting blown out? Oh wait, that's happened 3 times already this year.

#3032048 The Traditional QB Still Rules the League

Cam has been our leading rusher since he got here because we've needed him to be. Put a pure pocket QB behind this OL and see how well that works out. Peyton would have never broken Favre's record in Carolina because he would already be retired if he was taking the hits he'd be seeing behind this OL.

#3031661 Making A Trade...

Posted by LinvilleGorge on 19 October 2014 - 08:30 PM

That's my biggest fear for Cam being signed long term. Why pay the man 160 million, if this is what he's going to be working with? Plus even if we got rid of Rivera tomorrow, we will simply hire another defensive minded guy to replace him. I wouldn't be against trading Cam for a bunch of picks for that reason, as hard as it would be.

If we traded Cam, it would be a clear indication that this franchise has no desire to actually compete and it's simply a business venture. That's not a franchise that I would continue to support as a fan.

#3030762 Top 2 defenses from last year ...

Only tackles in the backfield(like sacks) should count. Those falling on the pile after 1st down conversions are nonsense.

This is idiotic.

Tackles in the backfield do count differently, they're tackles for loss. Sacks do count differently, they're sacks. Tackles absolutely should count and absolutely matter. If no tackle occurred virtually every play would go for a TD.

We've been blown out three times in 7 games this year. We've given up 30+ in 5 straight games.

#3029637 Was Gettleman feeling himself too much after last year?

Posted by LinvilleGorge on 19 October 2014 - 02:25 PM

Yes. He thought he was going to be able to perennially plug in bargain basement free agents at key positing while letting proven performers walk. I hope he's willing to learn from his mistakes, becuase there's certainly a lot to learn.

Both teams had great DLs last year. Both DLs are struggling this year. Then, we also have to consider the fact that we have the collectively slowest NFL secondary in the league. If our DL can't force the opponent's hand, we're sunk.

#3028718 Why did Gettleman go away from the free agency plan that worked last year?

Posted by LinvilleGorge on 19 October 2014 - 01:31 PM

I can't be mad at Harper and DeCoud. We already knew they sucked. We can't be surprised or mad at them when they are who we thought they were. Gotta look at Gettleman and ask why the fug he signed them. Steve Wilks should've probably walked out of the building when he saw this roster.

not inconsistent players. straight up terrible players.

This. Inconsistent would suggest that sometimes they're good. They're actually very consistent. Unfortunately for us, they're consistently terrible.

I think Dave is just getting a tough lesson this season. I think he got a little cocky after last year and thought this was gonna be easy. I just hope he's taking good notes and actually learning from it.

Your all fuging idiots. Better? The real issue is cap space for anyone with a brain.

If YOU'RE going to call people idiots, at least try to use proper English

Last year, he seemed to primarily go for young guys with elite physical talent who just hadn't put it all toget her yet. This year? Old, over the hill retread who are just happy someone in the NFL is willing to cut them a check. We lost every bit of speed we had at WR and DB from last year. This has to be the slowest overall NFL team I've ever seen. This game is clearly highlighting our lack of team speed.

We're punting?  Why in the fug are we punting?  Hey Ron, we're down 21-0 and our D has shown no signs of slowing down much less stopping ANYTHING!

Hey Gettleman, still think the answer is on the roster?  This dude should be put on notice.  He has assembled an absolute garbage roster. This isn't because we're missing Hardy.  If you think one non-QB makes this big of a difference, you've lost your mind.
