#3146307 Official Browns at Panthers Gameday Thread

Posted by LinvilleGorge on Yesterday, 03:37 PM

Harper's reaction time is remarkable.

He literally didn't move a muscle between the time the ball was snapped and the receiver was already 5 yards behind him with ball already in hand. That was an amazing replay.

Lol! I just knew we were gonna give up a comical TD score after they showed that stat where the Browns hadn't scored a TD in over 140 minutes of football.

Maybe this miserable season finally gets put to rest today.

Can someone explain to me again just why Mike Shula is still our OC?

Is Xanax against the substance abuse policy? Maybe we should start slipping Norman a couple before games to chill his crazy ass out.

It's clearly under armour.

#3129658 IS this "Dave Getts" Greatest Season yet.

Posted by LinvilleGorge on 11 December 2014 - 12:22 AM

If we didn't have a dominant DL last season, our FA class from 2013 would've sucked just as bad as 2014's.

Florence was cut, Moore was cut, Mikell had one season left in the tank, Ginn has lost his job to two rookies at Arizona, and Mitchell is turrible at Pittsburgh. Can we please stop this notion that our FA class last year was good?

It was a good class for our system.  Arizona and Pittsburgh were just dumb for grossly overpaying for Ginn and Mitchell, respectively.  They were solid players for us.  They're not guys that you give significant guaranteed money on long-term contracts, as they're finding out.  We wanted to keep both of them, we just weren't willing to pay anywhere near what those other teams did.

Greatest season yet? He hasn't even completed two full seasons.

By any measure, 12-4 >>>>>> 4-8-1

#3128218 Blowout Fallout : Kenny Vaccaro benched

I'd GLADLY take Kenny Vacarro and Mark Barron right now as my starting safeties for the Panthers.

#3128178 Reality check for a few .....it's only damn football

Posted by LinvilleGorge on 10 December 2014 - 01:03 AM

Very glad that it sounds like Cam is going to be okay.  I ceased to give a poo about this season a long time ago.  We're 4-8-1.   In any other season, we would've been looking forward to the draft for months by now.  It's only because this division is such a complete dumpster fire this season that we have any hope at all for the current season.  The bottom line is that whoever wins this division is only costing themselves about 10 spots of draft position for the "honor" of getting blown out at home in the 1st round of the playoffs by an actual decent football team.  The current NFCS may be the worst division in modern NFL history.  The division champ is going nowhere except plummeting down the draft order.

Sit Cam this week and let DA face the Bucs again.  Don't even think about playing Cam this coming weekend.  IF we beat the Bucs, then evaluate him for next week vs. the Browns.  If we lose to the Bucs, don't even think about playing him again this year.  Poor dude has suffered an entire career's worth of injuries this season.  Ankle surgery, broken ribs, and now fractures in his back.  Jeezus butt fuging Christ, give the dude a rest already.

#3127964 What would the perception be if it was Hardy who wrecked?

Posted by LinvilleGorge on 09 December 2014 - 08:51 PM

I assume Cam is innocent because literally every report we've seen indicates that the other driver ran a red light and hit him.

Honestly, I expect Hardy to be acquitted in a jury trial too.

In other news, dumb thread is dumb.

Anyone making jokes about a situation like this deserves a vacation at best.

Yeah, I think we got that.

#3125578 Eric Berry officially diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma

Posted by LinvilleGorge on 08 December 2014 - 06:23 PM

This sucks, but as long-term Panthers' fans know, our own former LB Mark Fields was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma at the age of 31, took a season off to kick it's ass and then returned to have several more productive seasons including a Pro Bowl appearance.  Here's to hoping Eric Berry can do the same.

You keep pounding, Eric!

#3125302 Cory (Philly) Brown & Klein Update

I still believe Philly can be the returner we need.

I truly have no idea what led you to that conclusion.

#3125270 Cory (Philly) Brown & Klein Update

Posted by LinvilleGorge on 08 December 2014 - 02:08 PM

Just gotta say I love Philly Brown and hope he gets back on the field ASAP. We need his speed and he seems to have natural talent at WR.  I hope his ceiling could be like a poor mans Smitty or that he can at least become our returner long term. Seems like a great guy too.

I'd be just fine with never seeing Philly on another return unit.

As surprisingly impressive as he has been as a WR, he's been equally terrible as a returner.  Just let him focus on being a WR.  He looks like he could have a future with the Panthers and it's as a WR.
