There's the Shula appearance

#3118498 Cam is talking

We need to start fast: two runs to deangelo, sack, punt.

#3115707 Jason Williams waived too?

Ron has directly cost the team more games his year (not to mention other years) than any of these sacrificial lamb cuts. When is he going to cut himself?

#3115697 How many UDFA's are on the 53 man roster?

How do we compare to other teams?

21 on the Seahawks last year. Along with competent coaching.

The Vikings saw it on film. If it's been happening all year why wasn't it addressed sooner?

I think we are going for the first ever active NFL roster with more undrafted than drafted players.

#3115485 Bye Bye Antoine Cason...

This may not be quite the worst team in franchise history, but Gettleman's free agent signings this offseason were absolutely the worst in the 20 year history of the Panthers and I defy you to tell me otherwise.

Sean Gilbert, Chuck Smith and Reggie White say hello. At least this awful crop didnt cost us a bunch of money and draft picks.

#3115463 Bill Voth breaks down Cam Newton's season

Posted by BIGH2001 on 02 December 2014 - 12:41 PM

A predominantly running qb has never been successful in the NFL long term and the stats in this article bear that out. It might work for a few games or even a year but once it gets figured out the fun is over. We should have scrapped the read option in 2012 and developed cam as a better passing QB back then.

Outside of a tackle the #1 offsesson priority has to be a speed receiver who can consistently get separation from a DB. When Cam has that weapon to go with a big possession guy in Benjamin and Olsen as a security blanket he shouldn't need to run the ball to move the offense. At that point we can find out who he really is as a QB.

I can't wait to see what next year's awesome free agent crop brings. All part of the master plan.

#3114619 Al Wallace said Cam Newton will never be a franchise qb

Posted by BIGH2001 on 01 December 2014 - 11:09 PM

How are they supposed to get a fair evaluation with the talent level around him? All we know so far is that he's not elite level, at least at this point. Beyond that, he hasn't been given a chance to show whether he can win with a properly constructed offense.

#3114238 Thomas Davis lets Bridgewater know his hard count sucks

Posted by BIGH2001 on 01 December 2014 - 07:50 PM

No need for trash talking. Teddy Bridgewater was the best QB on the field yesterday hands down.

Not really. He just had an NFL level offensive coordinator. It wasn't all that impressive to be honest. One touchdown drive was on an extremely short field; the other was aided by an idiotic penalty by Norman and an idiotic timeout by Rivera on third and long.

#3113959 Rivera says punt blocks on personnel, not coaching

Posted by BIGH2001 on 01 December 2014 - 04:38 PM

It's just shitty leadership to blame your players in the press.  Why do you think Fox never told the media anything?  Why does Belichick never give out information?  Behind closed doors they can rip the player  if it's truly a player error.  But to the media you say things like "I take responsibility for that" or "we'll work on that at practice and it won't happen again."  That way your players don't think you are against them because you just threw them under the bus.  And he wonders why no one wants to play hard for him.  Work on your leadership, asshole.

Can you imagine if Rivera was in a market like New York or Philly and gave some of these answers in press conferences?  He would never get away with it. We have a bunch of pussies in the local media who are afraid to challenge him because they fear the wrath of Jerry.

#3112084 Curious, how did Mike Remmers do at RT?

Posted by BIGH2001 on 30 November 2014 - 07:09 PM

Had a penalty. Beyond that nothing that I noticed.
