Kind of off topic, but I hope it snows really hard when we go play Pittsburgh at Heinz. I've always wanted to see us play in the pouring snow. Think it'd be neat.
I'm not talking flurries either, I want the field to be blanketed so you can't even see any green.
It snowed once before when we went to Pittsburgh, 1999 I believe. We needed to win to basically control our own destiny and get to the playoffs. Played a decent first half and then the snowstorm came and we got dominated in the 2nd half by the Steelers run game. Pittsburgh was pretty bad that year if I remember.
For him, improvement would be throwing a touchdown pass. Something he has done once in 5 starts and 3 other games in which he has seen playing time this year. People like to make the Josh Freeman and Tampa Bay comparison. Hell, even he threw 10 touchdowns last year in the 10 games he played. Peyton Manning (another QB people refer to as having a bad rookie season) threw 26 TDs in 1998. Weinke threw 11 TDs.
Clausen has been pathetic by all historical standards and he has none of the intangibles that show me he can be a successful QB. He apparently has never learned how to step up in the pocket despite having played the position for several years and being "groomed" to be an NFL QB. He bails on a play way too early and is completely unimaginative on the field.
