And with our schedule from here on out, the future doesn't look bright.  I'm going to be a downer and say our season maybe done.  Injuries piling up, poo o-line, defense starting to get banged up.  Draft Cedric Ogbuehi, trade up to get Gurley, grab a DE and call it day.

Our season is maybe done after 3 weeks? Don't be so quick to give up. Last year, we were 1-3 with things looking bleak and we turned that around. The whole team had a bad game. If someone is injured, next man up. I am not going to give up on my team like that. We are still 2-1. I doubt we see the defense play like that again this year. We will get it together and come back hard againts the Ravens.  Remember, this is a marathon, not a sprint. We are fine.

#2972239 we are 2-1

Posted by SpeedOFLight on 22 September 2014 - 07:16 AM

29 of the 32 teams have at least one loss.

We killed ourselves with penalties on both sides of the ball, had two crucial turnovers, other team had 10 days to prepare and brood over losing to arch rival and a team that I think is a pretty good team even if not as good as a few years ago. Those are mistakes we have largely avoided for a while now.

We had no real healthy RBs and our #2 WR was out.

Poo happens, sometimes you crap the bed and have a terrible, no good game.

We are still 2-1 which is better than 1-3 which is where we stood last year.

The things that really killed us are the things we have been so good at for about 24 games now. Taking care of the ball, avoiding penalties, and playing great defense.

So have trouble sleeping tonight, be grumpy tomorrow, then get the fug over it. Because Papa Smurf is coming next weekend, and he is going to be fired up

You hit it dead on my dude. We are still in good shape. It is early. We will learn from this game and move forward.

#2964149 Can you relate?

Posted by SpeedOFLight on 19 September 2014 - 07:55 AM

I remember that season like it was yesterday. By halftime, we already knew we had lost. I drowned my sorrows in alcoholic beverages each sunday with no hope until the next season. I have to be honest, I started to feel sorry for them last night, especially Lovie....stay strong buc fans ..We all had to go through this at some point.

#2943014 Hotel for game day/night

I would definitely look early for them. We are coming to charlotte this weekend and the only hotel we found was by the airport I believe. We are coming in Saturday so we will be using a taxi the whole time there.

Dear NFL,

Please don't schedule our east coast games at 4 anymore. Leaves too much time to drink.

I really don't want Cam playing the first half with that line.

I understand where you are coming from but we have to see what we have out there. Plus Cam needs to get this offense in sync and build more chemistry so it can translate through the season. Also, we will see what we got for depth if someone is a no go.

#2891145 Throwback Thursday

Posted by SpeedOFLight on 15 August 2014 - 08:29 AM

I remember those dark days. I was usually drunk by halftime. Once we got behind, you knew it was over but I faithfully watched them every sunday. I was hoping one of those games we would turn the corner. I rooted hard for Jimmy and Matt Moore but honestly they were put in some bad positions. At least we were able to get Cam as a prize for sitting through that sad season.

#2881427 Gameday Menu Preseason Week 1

Posted by SpeedOFLight on 08 August 2014 - 12:08 PM

I think I will go by the alphabet store and pick up some vodka/ or bourbon. Not sure yet but it definitely won't be beer. Tired of it, plus I am trying to lower my carb intake. For food, I might just order take out and pick up some wings or something. Just got a new tv so I'm anxious to have my first panther game displayed on it.

This is a special kid. I loved the play he made in Atlanta where we had them pinned on their own goaline and how he read the play then jumped the route. He played a big role in helping us winning the division title.

#2856744 A ranking people may actually like, but...

I actually believe we will be end up with back to back winning seasons for the first time. It is just something special going on in this team. While we may have a few unknown areas, that is exciting to me. It gives these guys that a lot of people are counting out a chance to rise up and proved the league wrong.

I like this move and believe it is a good basketball move for the league. As Michael Jordan put, he would have never asked Magic, Bird and Clyde to join up with him. He was trying to beat them. I just want "superteams" to go away which is why I was thrilled to see the Spurs win the championship. Why? They showed everyone that it is still about team play and not individuals. That team was drafted and ended up growing together, then it paid off. I wish teams would just follow their model which is a good example of the concept called team.

#2842549 D.Williams...props to a good guy...on and off the field

Posted by SpeedOFLight on 08 July 2014 - 06:53 AM

I think it is cool that Dwill posted it. Maybe other people will fall in line when they see a veteran. Who knows? This could start a trend where people start to try and give back in small ways to vets to let them know we still appreciate them. I alway thought Dwill was a good guy and this further cements that. Good job my dude!
