#3141755 If Atlanta AND Cleveland win this weekend....

Posted by SpeedOFLight on 18 December 2014 - 12:18 PM

It would remind of me of that year where we started 1-7 and went on a run to possibly make the playoffs. We needed to win the last game and the redskins needed to beat the vikings. Well the redskins won the last game and of course we lost. If my memory is correct, we tried a long field goal in the end which ended up being blocked. That game hurt knowing that we would have made the playoffs at 8-8 and we were considered a team that no one wanted to play in the playoffs

#3124536 OMG Ron Dripping With Swag in Press Conference

Posted by SpeedOFLight on 08 December 2014 - 07:03 AM

What I loved about the game is we put the boot to the neck. We didn't let up. Whoever was calling the plays gets kudos as well. I just loved the fire our team showed today. From coaching to the players, they were not going to be denied.

#3117141 help me figure out how to watch this shitty team play on sunday

Posted by SpeedOFLight on 03 December 2014 - 03:25 PM

I first would suggest find a bar that has a good selection of whiskey/bourbon because you are going to need it. Basil Hayden is a good choice but what I am learned when I went out of town and our hotel didn't have the ticket was just to simply find a bar that has the ticket.

#3115493 Three rookies to start at N.O

Posted by SpeedOFLight on 02 December 2014 - 12:50 PM

Honestly, can they be worse than what we have seen already? Why not give them a try? I rather see youth out there gaining experience and know what we have in the future. It doesn't matter who is out there anyway. I don't see us winning any more games this year. I am usually the positive one but this team/staff has sucked the sports life out of me. I am going to be rooting for the young guys out there. I want to see them grow and gain experience but the end result of the game is already known. I better go ahead and pick up a bottle of Basil Hayden for Sunday......

#3115240 Al Wallace said Cam Newton will never be a franchise qb

Posted by SpeedOFLight on 02 December 2014 - 11:11 AM

I really think Cam gets unfairly blamed. how can someone not look at this team and realize our issues are far from him. Is he perfect? No, not one QB is perfect. Can he get better? Yes! People seem to quickly forget how bad our QB play was before he got here. I was at a local bar sunday, and Bell had just let the opposing DE blast right past him and pop Cam. I hear another bar patron say, "See Cam sucks". I look at him with a puzzled face while watching the replay,'Yeah, that was Cam's fault the DE had a clear path to him". We just need to build around him. Let's get him an O line and an OC that doesn't using atari games to call his plays. Did you guys see how Peyton look in the Super Bowl when he didn't have time to pass? I believe he is a Franchise QB and he will only get better.

#3114954 Panthers wide receiver are "second-to-last" in YAC

Posted by SpeedOFLight on 02 December 2014 - 08:07 AM

I think it plays more on play design as it was just mentioned. Shula does not design plays to the strengths of our players. IMO, He is using Jericho and he was using Avant wrong. I really think one of our biggest issues is Shula. He has never been a good OC. I just don't get why our staff can't see that. If you know our o line is not that great, why not call more screens or quick slants. It is very elementary. YAC is a big number to look at. Everytime we make a completion, our guy is immediately tackled. With the type of season we are having, it is hard to pin it on just one unit.

#3113205 The Official Rivera Poll

Posted by SpeedOFLight on 01 December 2014 - 09:30 AM

I'm never excited to have someone get fired but I was never sold on Rivera, even after last year's 12-4 record. He shows terrible clock management and doesn't seem to have any idea of in game adjustments at all. Honestly, I think the whole staff should be gone. Let gettleman clean house and bring in some offensive guru to build around Cam.

#3109644 Panthers at Vikings Gameday Thread

Posted by SpeedOFLight on 30 November 2014 - 01:36 PM

I have a feeling we're gonna be the first team in nfl history to have a kickoff blocked...

After all that is going on with me today, this made me crack up laughing. Thanks for that lol

#3086367 Rae Carruth's Son 15 years later

Posted by SpeedOFLight on 14 November 2014 - 09:52 AM

I like the part of the article where he got up and walked because he wants to show the pretty girls he could walk. That bought a smile to my face. This kid has been through a lot and in my opinion  is a warrior. I wish him success and a great life moving forward.

#3084560 Ways to enjoy this season...

I notice when we have a bad season, my bar tab usually peaks very high...sigh..

#3084521 The Panthers are a fail of a franchise, You DONT DO THIS TO YOUR FRANCHISE QB

I don't know why I just laughed so hard lol. Maybe because I'm working late today (10 hours) and that's what I want to do once I reach the parking lot

#3083737 Panthers officials insist Cam Newton's MNF problems totally mental

Posted by SpeedOFLight on 12 November 2014 - 10:33 AM

I really don't get what is going on with this organization. I love this team and will never cheer for anyone else but they are hanging this kid out to dry. He is our franchise QB and I honestly believe we are not handling him properly. You didn't build around him, you let him take all the blame and you "leak" stuff out about him. It took us how many years to find a player like him? Now we have him, we are taking him for granted. Watching Monday night was just painful. Damn that, watching this whole season has been painful.

#3083706 Panthers officials insist Cam Newton's MNF problems totally mental

Posted by SpeedOFLight on 12 November 2014 - 10:05 AM

I'm really tired of everyone saying Cam had mental issues or whatever. What I like about Cam is he is taking full responsibility for what is going on out there(even though he is the least of the problems). I do remember a certain Manning throwing his o line under the bus and also cussing out one of his players this year. This kid can't win at all. They judged MJ, Kobe and now Cam. Btw, yahoo writers are terrible

#3082103 1st take destroys the Panthers FO, "Panthers Sold Cam Newton Out"

Posted by SpeedOFLight on 11 November 2014 - 03:11 PM

I have to agree with them! That hurts saying that lol but they are right. It's a shame that he is being hung out to dry and has to shoulder all the blame himself. In his press conference he never throws anyone under the bus but he takes accountability on what is going on with this team. Our coaches are cowards and I wish Rivera never got extension. He is suppose to be your franchise QB. Help the kid!

#3081821 Sproles talks about the punt return

Posted by SpeedOFLight on 11 November 2014 - 01:26 PM

What gets me is how we as fans can see the issues and even opposing teams but our staff is either drunk or hell I don't even know anymore
