#1917591 Its Falcons week....

Posted by Chaos on 24 September 2012 - 06:36 AM

When I watched the Falcons - Broncos on MNF last week, what I noticed play after play is that Matt Ryan doesn't stand in the pocket. He has quick reads every pass play. Even on the play action when his back is to the WR's, as soon as he pulls that ball back in, he is turning and firing almost in one motion to the spot where he knows his WR will be.

Maybe this is to offset his supposed weak arm for the deep ball, but a defense without a pass rush against a dink and dunk style passing attack with slants and short crossing routes, it feels like we could run into the same buzz saw as last Thursday night.

I would be interested to know what our defensive game plan will focus on.

#1917522 The Steve Smith can do no wrong talk is a bit much

Panther fans and media are dissecting this to the n'th degree.

Meanwhile, Cam and Smith have most likely moved past this and are focused on righting the ship for our next game. These guys are professionals, and I'm sure Smith has already done his own version of damage control with Cam now that this is getting so much attention.

These guys have a good relationship and I believe they will be fine. I don't expect Cam to skip passes to Smith off the turf next week.

#1915916 I apologize if I missed this,

Replacement refs suck for many reasons.

#1912915 Steve Smith Post-Game Interview

Posted by Chaos on 21 September 2012 - 09:19 AM

When I try to be optimistic, I can say this. We are off the national stage for quite some time. String some wins together, and the next thing you know, this loss will be overshadowed by how the team turned around.

We have the talent for God's sake, can we just find the scheme and the match-ups that will start giving us a consistent edge game to game. Here's to hoping so.

PS - I love you Smitty

#1912559 We're ok.

Last night's game wasn't just a loss; I can live with a loss. And if this team lost but played a good game, they could still have confidence in their scheme and game planning. But what I saw last night was an embarrassment and humiliation for the whole world to see on NFL Network. All three phases of the game were miserable failures. Those kinds of losses set teams back , they don't propel teams forward with any positive take-aways for the next game.

It's one thing to lose, but another to look like you didn't prepare or compete.

#1911839 It Begins And Ends With The Defense

I think that after just three games this season, you could make a robust video montage of Nakamura's whiffs and pathetic failures of tackle attempts.

That guy is straight garbage.

#1908748 what would you guys do

Posted by Chaos on 20 September 2012 - 12:00 PM

Playing off Cape Fear Cat, this would be my suggestion

Wear Panther gear
Go to friend's house
Cheer obnoxiously
Leave an upper-decker (win or lose)
Bounce

#1908558 So i am scalping tickets for tonight's game...

Go to the South gate and you can dance your way through the turnstiles with no wait, doing that "haters gonna hate" walk.

Posted by Chaos on 19 September 2012 - 05:21 PM

Oh well, just told him and the wife. Wife is pissed, kid is semi-OK with it since we got to go this past Sunday. Now he gets to go to his first middle school dance tomorrow night so I guess it is what it is. I'll be yelling so loud they will here me from Shelby but I'm still in disbelief that this happened. What are you going to do?

I'm just as bothered as you are - I was banking on your extra ticket.

#1907621 Hakeem Nicks out vs Panthers

They still have Eli - can't ever count him out to make plays.

#1907356 I'd like to take a moment to thank a very special Huddler.

Posted by Chaos on 19 September 2012 - 01:40 PM

I have two of them sitting in my office. My wife asked if I was going to drink them or just stare at them.

I started packing her bags - those bottles would be pointless without the perfectly blue Panther juice inside.

C'MON MAN!!
