#3213855 Panthers not interested in Duron Carter....

Posted by PantherFanOne on 19 January 2015 - 08:17 PM

If this upsets people, they probably aren't going to like what happens in free agency this year when we don't make much noise again...

Thankfully we have a frugal Dave Gettleman, someone  who will not make wayout moves like Marty Hurney but has the ability to get value for the players he selects, meanwhile, keeping an eye out for our future interests.

We should learn to trust his decisions more, instead of second guessing him when he doesn't mortgage the farm, trying to get overpriced free agents, that have a chance of not working out for us.

#3213471 An attack by Bane isn't an option: Are you pulling for Seattle or New Eng...

Almost spit nails when the Hawks came back and won... I hate both teams.but there's something about Carroll that makes me want to punch my tv.

Go Pats

I don't like Carroll because every time the camera cuts to the sideline he's in some officials ear tying to get calls to go his way.

I really want some new teams like CAR,ARZ,DET,WAS,KC,SD,MIN,MIA,PHI, or some others, step up and get

into the final four playoff  mix next  year.

#3209870 Colts are gonna royally fug their salary cap

Posted by PantherFanOne on 18 January 2015 - 02:07 PM

I really hope for the future of the Panthers,Gettleman can work out a cap friendly deal with Cam and Luke, one that doesn't really screw up our salary cap for the future.

#3209567 Insider: Panthers have a leader and franchise QB in Cam Newton

Posted by PantherFanOne on 18 January 2015 - 08:19 AM

I  will not go into a lenghty detail explaining the obvious but we are fortunate to have Cam Newton as our QB for the present and future. Cam is certainly not perfect, what QB is, but he has the drive and mindset to get better and reach his unlimited upside.

If Cam were ever to leave and go elsewhere, you would see how fast that teams fanbase would like and appreciate him, something we may need to do a little more of, instead of nit picking his every little flaw, faults that can be corrected..

#3208382 The biggest concern with Ron that surprisingly no one ever talks about.

Posted by PantherFanOne on 16 January 2015 - 09:11 PM

Without Mike Tolbert, the only true fullback on the team,A banged up Cam Newton,An OL that earlyon was the worst in the league, yes,I can see why Ron Rivera  wasn't all to anxious to go for it on fourth down. Plus, like pantherclaw stated, there weren't as many opportunities this year, compared to last year.

#3208162 So what is the expectation next year, NFCC game?

Posted by PantherFanOne on 16 January 2015 - 06:33 PM

Rivera outcoached Arians & Carroll in the playoffs this year. He is a good coach.

Exactly, regretfully some fans would refuse to give him credit, even if he took the team to a Super Bowl and won.

#3208153 So what is the expectation next year, NFCC game?

Posted by PantherFanOne on 16 January 2015 - 06:27 PM

had we both gone with a 3rd string QB, and beat Arians, Ron would have outcoached Arians. Ron got completely outcoached by Carroll.

Ron was not the one making turnovers in the game. Fact is,Seattle just had the better team.

#3207757 Why does NFL media hate Cam Newton? (Bear fans take on Cam.)

Posted by PantherFanOne on 16 January 2015 - 02:34 PM

because..........after they crucified him before the draft,  and labeled him a bust.. he has basically spit in their collective faces when he wasn't a bust.

Exactly. The ones that knocked Cam before the draft, hoped he would fail, so they could pound their chest and say i told you so.

Since he has exceded their expections, they want to still trash him, attempting to preserve their own large ego and frail image..

#3207431 Ravens tell Smith to take a little time out

Posted by PantherFanOne on 16 January 2015 - 10:47 AM

Smith haters in full effect

Tired of hearing the smith wasn't a mentor bs, name one receiver that left Carolina and lit it up with another team while smith was here........I'll wait

To say he would have stunt Kb development is inaccurate

I have never heard ONE Panthers WR past or present say that Steve Smith helped them develop or gave them advice. Please do some research and find ONE that has stated it,then apply that logic to him helping KB develop.

#3206871 Falcon's new stadium

Posted by PantherFanOne on 15 January 2015 - 09:39 PM

Wooooo!!!!! A  1.4 billon dollar stadium.I wonder who is coming up with that kind of money? I will have to admit the stadium will be a work of art, a good place for the Panthers to whip up on the Falcons once a year.

#3206688 Dan Quinn is Falcons' top candidate per ESPN

Posted by PantherFanOne on 15 January 2015 - 06:36 PM

Derp... Forgot Monroe was traded...

Meant Marquise Lee... Maurice Lee is a good friend of mine.  Damn auto correct.

I did disclaim "off the top of me head" haha

"Ice up son " :)

#3205117 Should Rivera's new nickname be The Teflon Ron?

Posted by PantherFanOne on 14 January 2015 - 05:34 PM

Dude loves to throw people under the bus while declaring that he very rarely does anything wrong.

You are way off base with that statement and assumption. Ron Rivera is a players coach and while he holds players accountable ,he does the same with his  self.

#3203901 Nine more players signed to 'future contracts'

Posted by PantherFanOne on 13 January 2015 - 08:09 PM

Ron Rivera has previously stated that the Panthers were going to give WR Stephen Hill, every chance they could to see how he develops, after a full training camp. Can't ask for anymore than that.

#3203869 Steve Smith attempted to fight Jermaine Wiggins after loss?

Posted by PantherFanOne on 13 January 2015 - 07:45 PM

I'm cool not having a statue of this guy outside our stadium.

I would welcome a statue of Thomas Davis outside BOA Stadium because he has shown a lot of the same heart and character that the late Sam Mills possessed. I would be 100% against one of Steve Smith, for the opposite reasons.

Aaron Wilson thinks Adam Gase gets the Broncos job.

Likely means not a lot of staff turnover, if any.

This is pure speculation but i really believe that Peyton Manning wanted Adam Gase to be the Bronco's head coach. We'll soon see how this all plays out.
