If it's legal I would love to see the Panthers put a couple of Flairs old fllm clips cheering for us,on the Jumbo screen during warm ups and a few minutes before the game starts.
That would get the Forty Niner players wondering what happened to their so called motivator Just a small way of getting in their heads, the same way they wanted Flairs speech to them have an adverse effect on us. Can you say payback time?.
Brandon LaFell did not catch a pass in Sunday's Week 17 win at Atlanta.
It's a new low for LaFell. The Panthers desperately needed him to step up with Steve Smith (knee) out, and the fourth-year vet responded by dropping a big third-down pass early on and failing to create separation against a weak secondary.
Consistently failing to capitalize on opportunities, LaFell finishes with 49 catches for 627 yards and five touchdowns. The Panthers would do good to get Ted Ginn more involved.
In the video Flair looked exactly like what he is,an old washed up drug user. Remember ,he use to appear own the Panthers Jumbo screen during home games but it was discontinued after Flair had numerous personal problems and projected a bad image.
Cam is undefeated since high school when it's rained at all during a game.
The chance of rain and Cam's record playing in it sounds good. All season it seems as if the stars have been lined up to favor the Panthers.
Just think of all the positive things that have happened to this team at just the right moment, not saying talent didn't play a big part in it. Here's hoping that trend continues and we wind up winning the Super Bowl.
My objective reaction - He would be stupid to even consider that job. Skins are a disaster. Bob the 3rd is developing a reputation as a coach killer. So many defensive starters will be free agents when he takes over. He won't have any 1st round pick(Rams say thank you), so you'll need about 3 years to put together a decent defense. And of course you have to deal with Snyder who has gotten rid of so many coaches in his very short time as owner. May be Sean just wants to increase his stock just by interviewing. That's the only scenario I would understand him interviewing.
My subjective reaction is below
Considering that Dan Snyder is the owner of this distressed franchise that is a long way from being a competive team the coach who takes this position is instantly set for for failure.
If McMermott 's (like most NFL coaches) dream/goal is to be an NFL HC,i would rather see him get the Lions position, if it is offered to him. That would be a team a decent coach could turn around with a whole lot less stress and effort.
I believe if the team lets Hardy try the open market,he doesn't cash in like Charles Johnson did in 2011. With no one willing to pay him the salary he's demanding, Greg then settles for a reasonable deal that locks him up in Carolina for a long time.
The market is just not there anymore, and Hardy seems to genuinely love this team. He would likely take slightly less for a longer contract. My guess is the $7-8 million range. This is all pure speculation but that's the logical way I see it working out.
