?

Like I said, it is a discussion in how you would split reps. So in this example we use last years numbers to get 23....

So how would you split the 23....as an example of thought process on our current stable.

It doesn't have to be that hard. Quit getting your panties in a bunch about trying to defend Williams when RB play is discussed

yeah that's you're problem, you hate d will that much and I'm only arguing that he should split carries with a guy coming off back to back injured seasons, you're also saying there's not enough carries to go around, which is false because your counting cams broken plays as rush attempts, you're also not factoring that we had drives of 8mins and last year we didn't posses a lot of drives per game, stew may be the best rb in your opinion,so he shouldn't have any problem proving that while splitting carries.......d will has done find when doing so and stew has shown he can as well

Dude...C'mon.

Out of 30 attempts Cam only gets 2, maybe 3 called runs. And Tolbert only gets a couple more. So...that leaves close to 25 carries for Stewy and DWill. Or close to that.

You cannot count Cam's scrambles, because any pass play could wind up being a scramble. You can only count his designed runs, which are not that many. Same with Tolbert. He gets some, but not a lot.. The majority goes to the actual RBs.

If used correctly, both have the ability to excel. Take that for what it's worth. Dismiss DWill all you want. But there are enough carries, and abilities to go around.

nail On the head couldn't say it
Any better

i hope shula can find a happy medium for our rb, don't overwork stew, don't limit tolberts carries, and limit d wills carries when facing a stout run d

either way with these guys it's hard to go wrong purposely

Ummmm, Stewart has played injured since his college days. Last year was just a streak of bad luck. Prior to 2013, Jonathan had been more reliable than DeAngelo. I don't know how this is even debateable. Stewart is the most rounded RB on our squad (speed, power, agility, vision, athleticism, blocking, receiving, etc). On top of it all, Williams is 31. There's no question who G-Man is gonna roll with.

you guys have been saying this for years"d will is getting cut this year", "d will june 1st cut" it's not who g-man is rolling with it's Rivera .............j stew has never been more reliable then williams,he's been healthy 2 seasons he's been here.

again Stewart has the edge in receiving, blocking, and power........that's about it

#2885461 Fixing the running game a.k.a same story, different year

Posted by Cpt slay a ho on 10 August 2014 - 07:00 PM

Let me present this critical view of the running game like this:

When it is 3rd and 2 and you have no choice but to run it, when it is anything - 3rd and 1, 3rd and a half... anything.  When everyone on the field, in the stadium and the world know the Carolina Panthers are going to run it how much faith do you have that the team will be able to convert that play to a first down where it matters?

Take Cam Newton out of your thoughts and just put it on the RB's and team - no Newton carrying the ball.  Can the RB's carry it?  Can they truly carry it?  Can they carry the load, haul the rock, and bring home the baby when the pressure is on the line?

I have a hard time believing that even with a top 5 OL unit that the Panthers RB's could get this done.  Maybe I am a bit spoiled from what I am accustomed to over the last 15-20 years from the Bills - but I just do not sit comfortable with the stall of RB's in Carolina.  I really hope this can change, I really hope durability and reliability improve, and I hope that it is a result of the RB's finding their own success without having bailouts from Cam and the passing game, as well.

wtf, with toblert hell yeah we could.......

people need to quit defending stewart, guy doesn't play while d will gets all the glorious hate for carrying the load

on the other hand this is on DG, our late to mid round picks are looking questionable after recent events

I have made a ton of mistakes over the years but have never hit a woman.  That isn't a mistake that is being a bully and hurting someone who is smaller than you.  I have been married 37 years and have never hit my wife.  It isn't that hard.

ok but some of you are naive enough to believe guilty is guilty in a court system which is beyond true, i understand some want to speculate but there's a possibility that Greg isn't guilty......let it play out is all im saying

as far as hitting women everyone makes mistakes, you might weight that differently then others but np i can understand where your coming from
