#2891290 Harper is starting to get that IR smell...

And how much field does a safety need to cover in a goal line situation compared to midfield.

I agree. Just pointing out that he did actually line up at SS. I don't recall that being an option for Captain or any other so called nickel back on our team.

The safety position is my biggest concern on defense. I think DeCoud lines up too deep, Harper can't get on the field, and Lester takes bad angles in the run game.

If Bene continues to show and prove, Godfrey will be moved, and whether people like him or not, I think he's too good and versatile  to not be on the field, especially with our current safety situation.

Good Ole Rivera, too honest for his own good.

#2736996 Nfl dumb asses say Tampa will win the division bc of their superior defense

I prefer it when the Panthers are not the front runners. We always seem to perform better as the underdog.

Damn that, those days are over. We're the poo, and I want everybody that plays us to know it.

#2734042 Steve Wyche and Eric Davis think... (per NFL AM)

Posted by Tarheels23 on 10 April 2014 - 09:27 AM

If you're not getting better you're getting worse. I'm not sure if we've gotten better yet.

KK, Star, FA, Horton, and Addison with another year under their belts in the same system automaticly makes us better. Not to mention Hardy and CJ.

Luke and TD can damn near read each others mind, and now they get another year in the same system with AJ.

That definitely makes us better...

And say what you want about the Offense, but one things for sure, we'll have better production on the ground from our O Line, and our RB's.

Smitty is THEE Panther. It doesn't matter what team he's currently on.

#2675529 Greg Hardy up next on first take

Posted by Tarheels23 on 05 March 2014 - 10:55 AM

Hardy standing tall for Cam and the Panthers. He did extremely well. And, oh course Skip tried to bait him into saying something bad about Cam, but Hardy saw that mess coming from a mile away.

#2609625 Not just a new OC, but a new system is needed.

Posted by Tarheels23 on 12 January 2014 - 04:51 PM

I don't agree! Shula hands were tied when it comes to personnel.

We need an O Line, and a big WR, but I still think we should be a power running team.

Look at how many teams are left in the playoffs that are running teams.

Patriots, Seattle, 49ers, and Chargers....

Enough said!

#2594437 ESPN latest...Crabtree...the difference

Posted by Tarheels23 on 07 January 2014 - 02:30 PM

Break it down however I like?  Presenting reality is more like it.  If you consider what happened in the first game successful then as I said before I hope your successful again this weekend.  I'll live with that kind of success all day every day.

In regards to Crabtree, I'll concede that he improves your offense.  But you're reading far too much into it, Kaep can't throw from his back.  You have to concede that Carolina presents the best front four in football, period.  Lead the league in sacks, and dropped Kaep six times in Candlestick.  You can line whoever you want out wide it won't change the fact that we will own the line of scrimmage.  I suppose you think Kaep is going to come in and do to us what Tom Brady or Drew Brees couldn't in our house or even Kaep himself in YOUR house.  Good luck with that.

Your only shot in this game is your defense vs our offense.  Stop hanging your hat on exposing our defense, which is very unlikely.  If you want to trumpet something, trumpet your defense, which is much more likely to affect the outcome of this game.

Well said!

The game will come down to our Offense against their Defense.

Cam and Bryon Bell is without a doubt the X factor. If good Cam shows up, the skies the limit, if bad Cam shows up, it can make for a long day.
