#3040686 How do you feel as a Panthers fan if John Fox and the Broncos win the superbowl?

Posted by raleigh-panther on Today, 07:14 AM

Who says the football gods don't have a sense of humor...

The man who set offensive football back 100 years has Peyton Manning fall in his lap.

#3036885 My biggest worry about Gettleman

Posted by raleigh-panther on 22 October 2014 - 10:31 AM

The reality, after Fox, after Hurney..a lot of holes and a bad salary cap, situation has not helped

However, I do not see the Panthers going after and getting the best staff they could get and if the goal is to go young and grow the best teachers are needed..nor do I see coaches willing or accepting that they have to adjust to the talent on hand

And btw, the best teachers are not the ones we are comfortable with...the best teachers are the ones who challenge us to grow. Shula should have not been hired and retained for the OC position is my opinion and the fact we hired a passing coordinator to help hum should have been a huge red flag. He was hired when Rivera was expected to be a lame duck coach and no one else available and then kept supposedly for continuity for Newton...not the best decision

My concern with Gettleman is the constant use of salary cap to explain things like out of 7 o linemen only two being draft. Let that sink in a moment and tell me any other pro team in that shape on the oline...I simply cannot believe there were not serviceable vets with one to 2 years left in them to get us through rebuilding that aren't better then bell and chandler and some no names from Canada as starters

Same goes for that abysmal secondary...roman Harper ..seriously...a guy whose physical skills combined with his lack of desire to play...why him...was that really the best the panthers could do?

I don't know what to think

All pro teams go through adversity. The panthers seem more capable then others of creating and sustaining their own.

I think the reality too is that they got lucky and overachieved last year and the jig is up this year along with Gettleman gambling on the dine that isn't thanks to the stupid, selfishness of Hardy and Alexander.

Why shouldn't he?

Gettleman has not taken care of business with him in an extension

He watches Dalton, kapernick, etc get paid more than they worth while he carries a tine with an oline that could not displace many college oline sand rbs that could not fall forward for a yard.

Now Cam go win

Lol this isn't the panthers first shutout on offense or blowout on defense of the year. This is really our third. If we haven't learned after the first and 2nd blowouts, we aren't learning poo today that we don't already know.

I believe in the saying:

once can happen

twice is a problem

three times is a trend.

Facts are facts and the only fact that really matters is the scoreboard.

They have games to play.  I"m sure the players they have will give their best; but, the problem is, their best and talent level is not enough to compete with elite teams or recover when behind.

We know the rest.

Blaming one player, or another, isn't the issue.  Blame the GM who put them there, who all but jettisoned a LT and was unprepared when he retired.  Start there.  When it comes to the roster, where is the depth for the oline, for the backfield, aret they asking us to believe the best available talent the panthers could have afforded is on this team.  Not buying it.

Its the GM's job to find away.  Dave, go find it.

In actuality yes.  If a team wants to be the best, they have to beat the best.

The Panthers have failed those challenges.

Just they are slow learners it helps to be enforced.

In one game, a true contending team showed Carolina how far away they are from being one.

In one game, an elite QB showed how far away the Panthers are on defense

In one game, the Packers Defense show how far away this offense is.

If anyone had any doubts that the Panthers have prime time talent in any phase, and/or players or coaches, that should be erased.

Fortunately, for the Panthers and their fans, they don't play Aaron Rodgers every week.

Gettleman, there is work to do, go about doing it, starting with yourself, to the coaching staff to the talent you put on the field.

Your excuse of salary cap will go only so far.  Fix it.

I spoke to him briefly on the 4th level. He was in a golf cart being driven inside the stadium to his seat. I'm not sure he is well but he is quite a nice gentleman with a big smile

The fact that he wasn't placed on IR could only mean they planned on playing him at some point this year. Didn't play a snap in camp or preseason... kid must be pretty football smart to impress that much in the film room.

I'm starting to think the impression threshold is low.

At this point, just cut them.  Draft, find cheap replacements.

All they both do is take up space on the roster...and the exercise bike and ice tub.

Already paying them to do nothing...pay them to not be there and fill the roster space.

No offense to D-Will who I love.

Tired of the crowd bashing.

Been to most of the games for 12 years.

This past year and this year the crowd has done its part.

More than done its part, even with the Steelers fans.  We drowned them out until the team, yet again, on the big stage looked like poo.

The fans have done their part.  The team hasn't done theirs.   Simple and Plain.

Gross and Wharton. Were 10000 times what is there now. That current LG is abysmal. He is the king of standing around on running plays vs. staying on his block

Hated this draft pick when it was made. Hate more now.

#2987354 Lack of Discipline

Every team in the NFL misses players through injuries or in the case of some, common stupidity.

No crying in profootball.

#2986657 Where has star dissapeared to?

Hardy is gone

Don't blame the sun, the moon, or anything else

Pretend he is hurt if it makes you feel better

Loss of players is a way of life in the NFL

A coach is suppose to use it up and make do

Instead of focusing on what they can't do, they need to find two key schemes they can do.

..and in the end, pray to god above there are OTs and DEs in this draft and free agency and take out the damned trash and that includes Stewart

Can we bench the coaching staff for not being able to count 12,,,twice....in a weeks time

#2984170 The upsetting thing

Posted by raleigh-panther on 28 September 2014 - 02:48 PM

No anger

No fire

No answers

No adjustments

We have coaches who can't count to 12 and captains whose chins drop to their knees. Woe is me

Suck it up and pretend you aren't just drawing a paycheck

Adversity happens in life. You have to get up and fight.
