In Topic: Roster Projection - Preseason Week 3

Never thought I'd say, "Man, I can't wait to see Roman Harper on the field."

With the other competitive postions.

RB - Fozzy makes it.  Decent RB but plays special teams.  Will return kicks.

SS - Flip a coin.  If I had to choose I'd go Lester because I've seen him make more plays.  I'd look hard at cuts?

Tackle - I say we keep Byron Bell.  (90% of the huddle would cut him last year)

QB - Keep Joe Webb if at all possible.  He's a baller.

WR - Bersin keeps getting better and better.  For all the vet leadership Avant and Jerico bring they are still barely #2, quality #3 wideouts.  I don't see why Bersin can't compete with that for the #2 spot.

CB - Josh Norman makes the team.  He's got starter talent but an infant mentality.  If they could every get him to buy in he'd be a great player for us.  The team must be really high on his talent becuase he's got his own wing in Rivera's dog hourse but he never gets booted off the team.

In Topic: Jake Delhomme on the Mac Attack - Panthers have more than enough weapons for Cam

Jake's is the only jersey I ever bought (if you don't count the one with my name on the back.  Yes, I was that guy.)

Did anyone know that the year Jake was cut he was one of if not the highest paid player in the NFL for that year.  We had to pay off his contract at about 16 million and then he took the Browns to the cleaners for 7 million.  So, he had a round a 1 year, 23 million dollar contract.  Not bad for the twilight of his career.

Man, well that was boring as all get out.  We got to see great things like Falcon players trying a zip line with their girlfriend.  Falcon players swimming at an Aquarium.

Matt Ryan was almost as interesting.  He's kinda invisible.  Just there.  This whole show just makes me hate them more.  I'd put our Mafia boss GM up against their Boy Band GM any day.  That was just painful.  I'm not sure I can keep watching.

I do like Mike Tice.

I agree.  Really great and unique coverage.  Between this and Black and Blue review this might be the best coverage the Panthers have ever had.

But I heard that in an effort to save money the Panthers are going to fire Jeremy then hire Joe Person and give him an Iphone to take pictures with.

In Topic: Falcons are Trying to find "Toughness" We Have A Collection Of Beasts.

08 August 2014 - 07:47 AM

First off, let me say, RISE UP!  Good grief, what a stupid slogan.

And second, their coach is not touch and their QB is not tough.  That equals a team that isn't tough.  Like others have said all this talk about toughness is just going to translate into shots after the whistle and fights.   You don't teach tough.

What is the deal with Matt Ryan?  He is a horrible leader and you can tell his teammates don't respect him.  Actually, it's more like he's invisible to them.  Dude has no personality.  Stephen Jackson threw his stuff out of the room and he just mumbled about that being OK.  The whole team has no spine.  Can't wait for our defense to break them.
