#830713 Will we make the playoffs now?

Posted by UNCGreatness on 24 October 2010 - 05:54 PM

After today's win I know the Magic of Matt Moore is back. My favorite player is going to take us far.

I can see us winning every single game the rest of the way except maybe New Orleans and Pittsburgh.

I'm telling you, get excited. This season is going to be made into a movie. It's going to be better than The Program (one of the best sports movies ever).

It'll start with a team led by a drunk coach (John Fox), a QB lacking in confidence and failing with the ladies (Matt Moore), jackass rookie who thinks he's all that and snakes his way into the starting QB role (Jimmy Clausen) and a WR who's constantly starting locker room fights, punching teammates and getting smart with the media (Steve Smith)

But then...
the Panthers play San Francisco and come out with a miraculous win! And everything turns around. Matt Moore becomes the most confident man in the world and picks up the hottest b**ches imaginable, John Fox becomes sober for good, Jimmy Clausen gets traded to the UFL and Steve Smith joins a Won Buddhist Temple in his spare time.

Together, the Carolina Panthers march toward their destiny and make the playoffs! Then, as an underdog we play the role of the comeback kid and overcome incredible deficits in the playoffs to make the super bowl where we have to play the dreaded New York Jets. Somehow... Someway... Matt Moore throws a super bowl record 6 TD passes, all on Darelle Revis (and he looks TERRIBLE in these plays) and the Panthers lift the Lombardi Trophy!

#830285 Thread for the people who stuck by Matt Moore

Posted by UNCGreatness on 24 October 2010 - 03:31 PM

Yep, I've stuck by him all the way, he's my favorite NFL player.

The verdict is out! Matt Moore- The Starting QB for the Carolina Panthers for this decade :smash:

#787850 Prediction for Saints game today

Posted by UNCGreatness on 03 October 2010 - 08:02 AM

Jimmy Clausen does terrible in the 1st half. 3 INTs, gets into a fight with Steve Smith again (Clausen gets a black eye), starts crying because of the pressure.

Drew Brees is on his game, we fall behind 31-10 at halftime.

BUT

Matt Moore takes over. He enters the game with a bang and leads our team on a ferocious comeback. Down 38-34 with 0:03 left, he throws up a prayer from midfield, shades of Doug Flutie..... Dwayne Jarrett leaps in the air and brings it down and the crowd goes wild! The fans rush the field and carry Matt Moore around the stadium :yesnod:

the BCS rankings don't come out until like week 9. What are you talking about? Stop lying

#787693 Jake Locker- The Answer?

Posted by UNCGreatness on 02 October 2010 - 11:06 PM

Ok fug Andrew Luck, he can't even beat Oregon.

BUT

my boy Jake Locker was tossing it all over USC tonight. 300+ yards and a TD in the upset!

Jake Locker might just lead this team to an IMPROBABLE Rose Bowl berth

Is he the boy we've been looking for at quarterback? I'm starting to believe the answer is a resounding "YES!" :yesnod:

#787406 Do we need a need RB?

Posted by UNCGreatness on 02 October 2010 - 06:35 PM

I like DeAngelo Williams but I think he's turning into a burnout.
Whatever happened to that speed that made him a 2000 yard rusher at Memphis and a pro bowler in '07?

I'm kinda disappointed with DeAngelo, he's so WEAK. If I got into a fight with him, I'd probably win. I think we might need to start exploring new draft possibilities. I personally like Shaun Draughn from UNC. He had a monster day today (140yards, 3 TDs) and he's turning into one of the premier backs in the game.

So here's my draft plan for next year

Rd 1 Andrew Luck QB (Stanford)
Rd 2 Leonard Hankerson WR (Miami)
Rd 3 Shaun Draughn RB (UNC)

Cat'sGrowl you're a corny ass dude. You sound like a fuging grandpa

#787047 Jimmy Clausen is a bust

Posted by UNCGreatness on 02 October 2010 - 12:01 PM

cause he doesn't have a clue, guys like luck & mallet are the popular "future of the franchise" qb's in next years draft, only time will tell if they live up to the hype pretty much like clausen,The Golden Calf of Bristol, mccoy &bradford

How can you even compare Luck and Mallett to scrubs like Clausen, The Golden Calf of Bristol and McCoy??? Don't even put them down to that level.

Bradford, OK. I can understand. He's actually an NFL talent, he belongs in the company of Luck and Mallett.

I don't even like Mallett that much, he's Drew Bledsoe 2.0

Luck is definitely Marino though. I guarantee it.

If the Panthers know what's good for them, they'll draft Andrew Luck and apologize for the abomination that is Jimmy Clausen

Whether you like it or not, Jimmy Clausen is not a good QB.
We're going to have to look at Andrew Luck or Kellen Moore as one of those 2 QBs could take us to the promised land.

And to guy who said Clausen is the greatest QB in Notre Dame history that was the dumbest poo I've ever heard.

Theismann> Clausen
Mirer > Clausen
Quinn > Clausen
Montana > Clausen

#786810 Jimmy Clausen is a bust

Posted by UNCGreatness on 02 October 2010 - 06:53 AM

I don't get why you're trying to defend him. Anyone who saw him at Notre Dame knows he doesn't have the tools to be a franchise QB. If you're not gonna have arm strength you could AT LEAST be accurate. Too bad Clausen fails at that too. He's just a hype machine cause he played at big time programs on the HS and Collegiate level. He's got NOTHING.

We'd be better off starting Tony Pike RIGHT NOW. Unlike Clausen, Pike actually showed he had NFL potential in college and didn't throw a bunch of lollypop jump balls because actually has an ARM.

If Pike isn't the answer, then we just need to accept our mistakes and get Andrew Luck. I guarantee Andrew Luck is going to a great NFL QB just like Mark Sanchez. Those are 2 guys with REAL talent. Unlike this fugazzi Clausen.

If we have a top 5 pick what do you propose we do? Draft a WR? We're gonna need a new QB anyway most likely.

#786801 Biggest problem on defense is easily....

Posted by UNCGreatness on 02 October 2010 - 06:37 AM

Biggest problem is that my boy Julius Peppers got played

#786799 Jimmy Clausen is a bust

Posted by UNCGreatness on 02 October 2010 - 06:34 AM

Clausen makes Joey Harrington look like an NFL Legend.

#786792 Jimmy Clausen is a bust

Posted by UNCGreatness on 02 October 2010 - 06:26 AM

Why are we starting Jimmy Clausen? Why did we even draft him? Did the Panthers not watch him at Notre Dame? He's been overrated on every level of football he's played and like Moore he has below average arm strength and unlike Moore he isn't too bright.

We need to start Matt Moore again. He throws a nice spiral despite the lack of velocity on his passes.

Stop billing this bum (Clausen) as the future of the Carolina Panthers. OK, I can understand if Moore isn't the future, but Clausen definitely isn't.

Let's stop wasting draft picks and not use the 1st overall pick in the draft next year on AJ Green or Julio Jones. How about we do something smart and draft Andrew Luck?

Seriously, Andrew Luck is basically the next Dan Marino. He's got the exact same kind of lightning quick release and he's better than half of the QBs in the NFL right now as a college player.
