#3222622 Football Gameplan's 2015 NFL Mock Draft Video - Jan

Posted by C47 on 28 January 2015 - 03:40 PM

Good point now that I think about it. What do you think of a guy like Ty Montgomery in Rd 2 or 3 and going w/an OT in Rd 1?

No Montgomery. He's an awful route runner and has inconsistent hands. We don't need that.

#3217076 Carolina Panthers 2015 NFL Draft Roundup - Round 1

I'd argue CB is the hardest to play, but it is certainly debatable

Which is funny, because there is a better success rate with Corners Drafted in the first three rounds since 2000 than any other position. The only reason I know this is because I looked it up a few weeks ago on PFR.

Running Backs aren't devalued. There just haven't been difference makers in the last few Draft classes. Teams thought Richardson was so he went in the top five. If teams think Gurley can be AD like or that Gordon is Charles they'll go high.

#3214068 TarheelBlazer's 7 Round "Seattle Slayer" Mock Draft

Every year people drop. DGB could go anywhere from top 15 to 4th round. Peters the same. ACL injuries still scare teams. No blue chip prospect since Willis McGahee has not suffered at least a two round drop when rehabbing an ACL at the time of the draft.

You're talking about two top 15-25 talents having colossal drops. That's not realistic at all. This is a dream mock, and that's fine. I just hope people don't think this is a scenario that's realistic at all.

In what world are DGB or Peters available where you picked them? Hell, even Ogbuehi could end up a second rounder.

#3209690 What receiver do you want the panthers to draft?

Posted by C47 on 18 January 2015 - 10:37 AM

Nelson Agholor really is the dude, but people will look for ways to dismiss him because he's from USC. He checks all the boxes for a WR that's a compliment to KB.

1. Route Running?

One of the best in the class

2. Explosive?

Before he was the #1 and subject to all the damn Bubble Screens that still plague USC's Offense, averaged 18 and 16.5 yards per reception his first two years.

3. Returner?

18 yards per punt return and 17.5 per kick return in 2013 with two touchdowns.

Biggest question is hands, and it's not a question of his hands being bad, it's focus drops when he's not part of the Offense. Once he gets rolling he's really hard to slow down.

Option 2A and 2B would be Justin Hardy and Rashad Greene

#3120601 Why are none of the game consoles are on sale?

Posted by C47 on 06 December 2014 - 11:33 PM

I went by Walmart, Target, Best Buy, and Game Spot and PS4's were few and between and Xbox One were plenty.  I found 2 last PS4 bundles in 30 miles radius and it happened to be in one of the shitties Walmart stores.  Xbox One bundles were everywhere and they even offered $50 gift cards at Walmart.

I don't know why but PS4 are hot product still...

They did everything right pre-launch and people don't forget those things.

35 mph over the speed limit (assuming he was actually on an interstate) isn't that fast? Ok....

#3111948 WR or OT

Posted by C47 on 30 November 2014 - 06:25 PM

If the Panthers don't take an OT in the 1st round, the Huddle will blow up like Hiroshima.

Not if they take Amari Cooper or Kevin White.

Kevin White or Cooper. You don't pass on a potentially elite player to take a need. Especially as high as we'll be drafting. I question whether any of the OT in this class are elite.

#3102909 RIP KB's OROY chances

Posted by C47 on 24 November 2014 - 10:29 AM

Idiotic franchise. You gotta be that 6.3-6.6 range to garner that type of trade. Height create a ceiling on how dominant a player can be.

That's idiotic being that Steve Smith won the triple crown dominating Corners bigger than him. OBJ is a prime example of a player playing much bigger than their size.

#3101994 Great article on Cam's future in Observer today

Posted by C47 on 23 November 2014 - 05:44 PM

I've also stated a few hundred times that Cam Newton would be an idiot to not listen to offers from other teams following the 2015 season.

Doesn't anyone else find it the least bit curious the Panthers have failed to retain their most talented players over the course of their existence?

I mean he can try, but the Panthers can also slap the tag on him. If they want to, they can guarantee Cam is here till he's at least 28. That's why my money is on a long term deal getting done, and probably sometime between next January-August.

#3099183 Help! With Gaming Consoles Please

Posted by C47 on 20 November 2014 - 09:52 PM

As SOJA just said it comes down to the exclusives and the types of games the kid likes. You should ask your buddy what type of games he likes to play. PS4 has a lot more action & rpg games while the X1 franchises are mostly shooters and racers. The true system sellers for X1 are Halo, Forza, Fable along with a few others while PS4 has Uncharted, Gran Turismo, MLB The Show, The Last of Us to name a few. At the end of the day it's really just a personal preference thing. I personally prefer the PS4's exclusives, but have all three next-gen consoles.

#3094006 Does PFF even watch football?

Posted by C47 on 17 November 2014 - 07:57 PM

Has anyone even read the stats? He has a lot of drops, ect so yes I see why he is rated so low. I don't think KB is a bust but he does have areas he needs to improve.

Me see PFF rank Kelvin low. Me like Kelvin because he is Panther. Me think PFF dumb.

Just ignorant. Kelvin has had some BRUTAL moments this year and yes, a lot of his production has come in garbage time when Defenses aren't rolling S help, blitzing etc. It's pretty dumb to not acknowledge these things. That's not taking anything away from Kelvin either, because when he's good he's REALLY good. But the PFF ranking is absolutely justified.

Aren't the compensation picks for the following year?

Yes, won't see compensation for Hardy till 2016 Draft.
