#3264427 2015 Huddle mock offseason draft

With the 124th pick in the Huddle Mock Draft the Denver Broncos select OT/OG Mitch Morse from Missouri. We're not sure if he'll play Guard or Tackle till we get him to camp, but we love Morse's combination of athleticism and power. He's light on his feet and possesses quickness to get to the second level, while still being powerful enough to bully opponents in the run game at times. Morse took over for the Seahawks second round pick Justin Britt and the Tigers really never missed a beat. We think he's got the capability to be a Left Tackle one day, but with Ryan Clady he doesn't have to be. We can bring him along slowly and let him slot in where he wins, and for the Broncos that's a great luxury. Welcome to Denver Mitch!

Shaq on the board and taking Humphries? Meh....

With the 59th pick in the 2015 Huddle Mock Draft the Denver Broncos select Linebacker Stephone Anthony, from Clemson. We're thrilled Anthony made it back to us after we missed out on Kendricks in round one. Anthony is a plug and play Linebacker in our opinion. He will likely slot in as our Middle Linebacker in our hybrid 4-3 Defensive system. He's an explosive athlete who moves well in space, and flashes ability to cover in the middle of the field. He also is a deceptively good blitzer, and as we did with our round one selection, we wanted to address putting pressure on the Quarterback in a big way. We love his ability to pursue the run, and attack short and intermediate passes. He's instinctive and has great closing speed which will be a huge asset to our Defense. We're thrilled to have another chess piece to our Defense, which will hopefully be able to support one last run for Peyton and the Broncos Offense. Welcome to Denver Stephone!

Yea....it's a bit of a dick move skipping the dude who's running the whole thing. Please hold off on making picks people till DCK picks himself or confirms the pick. A couple of hours won't kill you.

Indy still on the clock.

                       Owamagbe+Odighizuwa+Nebraska+v+UCLA+bUOO

With the 28th pick in the 2015 Huddle Mock Draft, the Denver Broncos select Defensive End Owamagbe Odighizuwa, UCLA. Diggy was just too good of value to pass up for the Broncos this late in the first. We had slight concerns with injury history, but that was with the top 15 grade our scouts placed on him. At 28 those injuries still worry us a bit long term, but it's a much less risky investment. We had hoped that Diggy's teammate Eric Kendricks had fallen, but once he was taken we held our breath for this monster pass rusher. Diggy should be an instant starter at Right Defensive End opposite Demarcus Ware in our 4-3 Hybrid Defense, and with some strength and conditioning, we believe he'll be a player that we can slide inside on passing downs to get more speed on the field. We believe his combo of strength and quickness makes him a three down impact Defensive End who can thrive in our system. Broncos fans please welcome the newest member to the blue and organge, Owamagbe "Diggy" Odighizuwa. The man that Matt Waldman has nicknamed the Godzilla of Westwood should be terrorizing Quarterbacks for years!

#3255144 I like WalterFootball.com's current mock for Carolina

Posted by C47 on 26 February 2015 - 11:20 AM

Agreed. Has Keary Colbert/Dwayne Jarrett written all over him.

Also, I thought we agreed on no linemen from small programs. Unless you're talking about Florida State, or basketball, ACC is small time. (Sorry Kueck)

Really? All over him? How does he compare to those two players? Without using "he's a USC WR" please....

#3248691 Trade up for White!

Posted by C47 on 21 February 2015 - 04:23 PM

I'd be happy with Rashad Greene and Ty Montgomery
Any chance Ty could fall to round 3?

Montgomery is garbage tho. His routes are horrendous and his hands are even worse. I wouldn't draft him period tbh.

Kevin White has always been the best WR in this draft. I would love to have him, but it's not happening. He's got a lot of Dez Bryant in his game.

#3247193 Panthers met with Texas A&M OT Cedric Ogbuehi

Posted by C47 on 19 February 2015 - 11:46 PM

I only call him a project because he is going to miss a good chunk of his rookie season which is hard for anybody and he'll already start off his NFL career with a pretty serious injury so that to me makes him a bit of a project. I do like him as a player though hopefully he can hold up.

Not really....he tore his ACL in December. He could be back by training camp if he recovers quickly. At worst you're probably looking at beginning of October.

How about not taking him at all

I'm tired of the project players with red flags with the word hope on them. Draft someone that can protect Cam NOW. Not 2016, Not 2017 NOW. And rounds 1 to 5 should not be picked on projects. This franchise should know better by now.

Because every Draft pick rounds 1-5 is an instant contributor on every playoff team except ours.....

For fugs sake some of you people have ridiculously unrealistic expectations.

considering gettlemen said you want to draft a player with the idea of getting him on the field I dont see it happening.

He blew out his knee in December. There's a strong chance he could be healthy enough to play by the middle of September. That would be almost a full nine months.

#3246165 Does Carolina Pass up on Offensive Tackle at 25?

Posted by C47 on 19 February 2015 - 07:42 AM

Ereck Flowers is the BEST OT in this year draft.

We cannot afford to pass on one if available.

No he's not. Go watch the Flowers v Gregory match up and get back to me. As for taking OT "if ones available".....no, we'll take the highest player on our board. As we should. You don't reach for need. That's how you end up with Ty Sambrailo instead of an impact player.

#3245334 Will Gettleman be tempted to draft Gurley @ 25?

Posted by C47 on 18 February 2015 - 10:59 AM

I'm reading some of your post in this thread, and I'm liking your thinking.  I'm gonna be honest with you dude.  If we get DGB or Gurley with the first round pick that's a home run and like getting Ken Griffey Jr. in his prime at the same damn time.  You can't go wrong with either player in my opinion.

I think there are several guys that if they're there at 25 it would be hard to argue against them being the BPA. Shaq Thompson and Todd Gurley are at the top of my list. I love DGB, I just don't think he's going to be on our board. I hope I'm wrong though because he's a stellar talent.

#3245230 Will Gettleman be tempted to draft Gurley @ 25?

He looks very slow to me. Is he not?

As a USC fan, yes....yes he is. We need a back that can pick up tough yards and still hit a home run on any play. That's not Buck.

#3245082 Will Gettleman be tempted to draft Gurley @ 25?

Posted by C47 on 17 February 2015 - 10:38 PM

Maybe a unicorn. . Since it's just as likely none of those position will be available. .

Guys will be available. Not necessarily guys that are worth a first. This is actually a fairly weak OT class in terms of talent. Same with DB. WR is good, but not as great as last year. Outside of the top three you'll be hard pressed to find instant impact guys like Gurley or a guy like Shaq Thompson could be for us.
