#3299506 Cryptic Voth tweet

Prior to Gettleman, when we picked guys that dropped it generally didn't turn out well (Rashard Anderson and Rae Carruth, for example).

#3267976 iOS Huddle App Update Available

Posted by Strawman on 07 March 2015 - 05:40 PM

I have a web reading app called feedhopper that may fit you better

Not a big deal, I'll just go back to using online version. Liked the app the way it was before, if anyone knows a way to roll back an update, Id appreciate a heads up. Should've been an option in the new version to close side bar.

(I found a way to roll back update with Itunes)

#3264466 College football fan challenge: Post your school's draft/UDFA prospects

Posted by Strawman on 05 March 2015 - 05:07 PM

Marshall University

QB Rakeem Cato
6' 180 lbs

Marshall's all time leader in passing yardage, and TDs breaking records set by Chad Pennington.
131 TDs tied for 4th all time in FBS history.
Excellent down field vision, and mobility
Slight build so questions about long term health in NFL.
IMHO ideal back up QB who can come in and win a few for the Panthers, while not requiring large scale game plan changes.

6-7 round

WR Tommy Schuler
5'7" 188
4.48 40 yard

92 catches for 1,138 yards and 9 TDs.
Quick twitch tough reciever with good hands. Can return kicks.
Played high school (Miami), and college ball with Cato.

C Chris Jasperse
6'5" 294

Jasperse started a Marshall-record 53 consecutive games and helped engineer an offensive line that was ranked in the top 12 nationally for scoring and total yards in each of the last three seasons.
While Jasperse was a staple at center for the Herd, expect him to also get looks from NFL teams as a guard.
Born in Greensboro NC.

#3243973 Steve Wilks promoted to Assistant Head Coach

Posted by Strawman on 16 February 2015 - 07:45 PM

"While most of the NFL coaching jobs are filled, some teams are still fiddling with titles and re-assigning guys.

The Panthers gave a promotion to one of their own, naming secondary coach Steve Wilks assistant head coach."

Well deserved, damn fine coach.

If the offense plays like its capable of playing, and the defense stays consistent. The off season will have to wait a while longer.

#3132181 Are #70 and #68 the best rookie OG tandem in the NFL?

Posted by Strawman on 13 December 2014 - 01:32 PM

Ok, bored so I did the research.

Carolina, only team starting rookie guards. Next closest is Indy, and Dallas, who average 1 year experience between the two current starters.

Carolina, average experience for tackles is 3. Youngest is Atlanta and Miami, who are averaging one year experience between the two current starters.

Carolina, average experience total is 2.8. Youngest Oline is Jacksonville with an average experience of 2.4 years, next is Indy at 2.6, Carolina third.

Oldest guard tandem is the Saints at an 8.5 average.

Oldest tackle tandem is NY Jets at 8 years average experience, Bengals average 7 for second oldest.

Oldest Oline average is the Saints at 8.2 average years experience.

Without looking, I doubt there is another team starting 2 rookies at guard. Prettiest girl at fat camp situation.

#3111905 WR or OT

Cooper. If you saw the iron bowl, this guy is the real deal. Lineman can be found later, or through free agency.

God I love that song, never gets old! It's like the antithesis of Da Rude's Sandstorm

I refuse to listen again, gets stuck in my head.

#2954936 Rivera coming up on NFL Network to discuss Hardy.

Posted by Strawman on 15 September 2014 - 11:39 AM

Mentioned Stewie and Cam playing well.

Disappointed a little in defense for not getting outs on 3rd down as much as he'd like.

Hardy situation will be evaluated. "Fluid situation"

DG doing due diligence today on teams options.

Hardy said he understood deactivation, Ron allowed him to go home yesterday. On time today for meetings.

Said he, JR, and DG made decision. All internal to team.

No decision as of now, but will be full participant in practice and meetings this week.

Play him and you win, you don't have a conscience. Play him and you lose, he's a distraction.

Team investigation ongoing.

Tolbert ok, a little sore. Fozzy pulled quad, week to week. Deangelo worked out today. Gerry Williams worked out today. Tolbert took shot that knocked the wind out of him.

Little concerned about KBs drops, concentration issue, but loved big catch. Working on details.

Thinks D will get even better. Mentioned Melvin and Cason by name as having good game.
