solves our backup center position. literally brian folkerts was kalil's backup. would have been a disaster if he got hurt again.

guessing he could also fill in at guard in a pinch.

we played in the super bowl

we deployed the wildcat like 50 times against the falcons

the falcons murdered us like 54-20 for the worst loss in team history

we slaughtered the falcons to clinch the division in 2005

we lost to the falcons on MNF because mike vick juked the hell out of dan morgan

a lot of people had the texans and falcons going to the super bowl, not just schein.

this thread is stupid.

and not just because of that. but everyone gets things wrong. you will probably make dozens of stupid fuging predictions about teams that wind up completely opposite for the upcoming year.

stop being a losernerd who scours the internet for writers saying bad things about the team, who cares

#2823728 US Patent Office cancels Redskins trademark

historically redskin was a neutral term. was even created by natives themselves.

george preston marshall hired/signed several native americans when he founded the team and so he obviously wasnt racist towards them (he reserved that for black people!). though he was a fan of cultural appropriation.

meanwhile there are indian reserves who name their teams redskins, indians, braves, etc.

and polls show that native americans dont mind the name and its just a very vocal minority. even a majority liked south dakota's fighting sioux but one of the sioux tribes in SD abstained from voting on the name so they were forced to change it by the NCAA.

then we have names like the fighting irish out there. and then names that glorify murderers/thieves/rapists with the raiders, bucs, vikings, whatever.

st00pid.

#2822499 Who is the missing piece?

Posted by Zithers on 17 June 2014 - 03:54 PM

megatron would help a lot.

or richard sherman/earl thomas in the secondary to make the defense OP.

#2819220 5-0 to start the season, realistic or not?

Posted by Zithers on 13 June 2014 - 07:48 PM

@Tampa

an away game against a division rival isn't exactly a gimme. especially since they have a brand new offense where it seems like they are trying to emulate chicago from last season to help out josh mccown. lavonte david in the tampa 2 will be deadly as well.

Detroit Home

this team is basically built to beat us. have a top 5 OL and an incredibly fast offense to combat our slow defense (remember the philly game in the preaseason last year? and mike wallace constantly burning us?). their defense blows chunks though so there's that in our favor.

Pittsburgh Home

depends on whether or not their OL can stay healthy and gels. their defense i'm not too sold on as their older players (kiesel, hampton, harrison, woodley) are all gone now or not that great in the first place (timmons, taylor). have a lot of questions marks at WR as well outside of brown.

@Baltimore

depends on how the offense responds to kubiak's ZBS. if the OL isn't up to snuff this should be a win because joe flacco sure ain't gonna beat us with his arm.

Chicago Home

probably have the best offensive playcaller in the league. marshall and jeffery would probably abuse our corners. but their defense was historically bad last year. houston and fuller, along with a healthy briggs and tillman can turn that around though.

what i'm saying is that it's possible. but it's also possible we lose all of them. this is a HARD schedule. not just these five weeks, but the entire season. people thinking we're gonna get double digit wins with ease need to take off the homer shades.

#2798513 Proehl: "Trying to get the greatest show on turf to training camp..."

Posted by Zithers on 23 May 2014 - 07:53 PM

I just realized we have three coaches from that offense

Ricky Proehl, who played on it

John Matsko, OL coach

John Ramsdell, Offense Assistant/QB coach

Crazy.
