The tick

I'm having 80s and 90s flashbacks.

Amazon is said to be interested in reviving The Tick, the unabashedly costumed crimefighter played by Patrick Warburton (Seinfeld, Rules of Engagement), a source tells People.com.

believe it or not… The Greatest American Hero is poised to fight another day.

According to our sister site Deadline, Fox has given a put pilot order (i.e. virtually guaranteed to air) to a remake of the unlikely superhero series, which ran for three seasons on ABC in the early 1980s

30 July 2014 - 12:17 AM

It was only 1 minute and 48 seconds, it was only computer-generated test footage, but it was definitely Deadpool — and it was definitely Ryan Reynolds' voice breaking the fourth wall.

Created some time ago by Culver City-based Blur Studios for 20th Century Fox, the clip leaked online curiously close to the end of Comic-Con

The high-res version has since been released(NSFW)

I imagine the positive reception is catching Fox studios attention..

King Kong

26 July 2014 - 06:08 PM

The Legendary panel at SDCC 2014 has just dropped another bombshell on us. another King Kong film is slated to arrive November 4, 2016! A teaser, set in the jungle, while the narrator speaks of "going deeper into the heart of darkness" has been shown. While speaking to the fact that "its very existence being improbable"... wait for it... wait for it... King Kong appears while roaring and beating his chest!

Titled Skull Island, the movie will take place on King Kong's home turf.

I imagine this is another reboot and not a sequel to the 05 film version

Ridley Scott's latest film: Exodus

09 July 2014 - 11:50 AM

Trailer has just been released for Exodus: Gods and Kings, Ridley Scott's latest film. His last two films (Prometheus and The Counselor) seem to have a love them or hate them reaction with people so hopefully this one is more in the Gladiator mold.

advice from hulddle filmmakers

02 July 2014 - 01:10 AM

So I know a lot of you all here are really into film and wanted your advice.

My nephew wants to purse a career in the film industry but there really isn't much of industry in SC as far as I know. His grades are great, he's working on his associates degree to transfer to a local university. I can tell his current major is not what he wants to do and we've been talking about his dreams I hate to see him starting his life doing something he doesn't feel really enjoy, at the moment he can't move out of state  so I don't really know what to tell him.

any of you more experience in this have any advice?
