No wonder teams think less of RBs nowadays. RB by committee is the way to go.

We actually have RB by committee. We just pay our committee a hell if a lot more than other teams

#2862897 Justin Blackmon, not Josh Gordon, is now the dumbest player in the NFL

Both those guys had the potential to be elite receivers. It is a shame they have substance abuse issues.

But I thought marijuana was not addictive?

Here are guys that are willing to kill multiple million dollar careers to smoke this.....gotta be addictive.

#2862188 The downsides of being rich

Opportunity: your parents not kicking you out of the house and forcing you to also pay rent somewhere on top of everything

Point taken....that is definitely an opportunity that my parents afforded me.

It is sad and pathetic that a parent would kick their kid out of the house if they were working and going to college.  Now, if they had graduated school and decided that they were not going to school, that is another story.  If they were working a part time job and laying around the house all day or getting in trouble with their friends.....then I could see telling them to get on with their life and move out.

The Panthers regressed offensively pretty much across the board in 2013 but i guess media narratives are more convincing than you know stats and things like that

Don't you have some c rated local hemorrhoid commercial to audition for?

We were also top 10 in First Down Statistics as well....plays that generated a first down.

Team First Down Statistics: 2013 NFL Season

First down statistics give an indication to how well a team is running its offense and extending drives with sets a new set of downs. Teams can be evaluated based on the total number of first downs achieved or on a rate basis by comparing to total number of plays, which shows on average how many of plays run are converted into first downs.

For first downs and first down percentage, the higher the better.

#2860609 Noah and PJ to have limited roles.

Posted by MadHatter on 22 July 2014 - 02:50 AM

I think Vonleh needs to get 26+ minutes a game

Sent from my SM-G900T using CarolinaHuddle mobile app

Are you kidding me?  I hope you are being sarcastic.

nevermind....I forgot that you were only a 15 yo kid.

vonleh is not even close to contributing this year.  He is young, raw, and does not have an NBA body or game yet.

PJ is the one that could have minimal minutes but have a scoring impact.

#2856596 PJ Hairston Appreciation Thread

He definitely has the stroke.

But if his shot selectionand decision making does not improve, his minutes in a Clifford offense will be drastically reduced.

#2856484 How Hornets matchup against Top Teams in East

Posted by MadHatter on 18 July 2014 - 08:07 AM

The East should come down to us and the Bulls at least this season. How deep we go in the playoffs depends a lot on the development of Vonleh and Hairston and if MKG can figure out that jumpshot. Once the playoffs start, MKG is the only starter I would have questions about and we at least saw against the Heat how well he defended LeBron most of the time.

I think we will get very little out of Vonleh this season.  He is so young and so raw that it is likely to take a few seasons to tap into his potential.

But, Williams, Zeller, Al, Biyombo can hold their own inside.

If MKG finds even a decent mid range jumper, he is HUGE for us.

#2856198 Cam Newton works with other Panthers on chemistry

Posted by MadHatter on 17 July 2014 - 09:35 PM

Loved the article.

Especially liked the part where Cam was instructing the WR's and also stopping to ask them what they preferred on various routes. That is the mark of a great leader and QB.

#2855182 FBI: violent crime rates drop to historic lows

Posted by MadHatter on 17 July 2014 - 09:37 AM

I'm in the same field with MH.  Counting is nothing... software does all the counting.  What is critical in our position is Analytics,  Critical thinking, multimilion dollar decisions.  Accounting have thousands of rules and regulations when it comes to reporting.  You have to use your judgement A LOT.  That's why accountants get paid the big bucks.

Let it go.

When the person thinks that "counting" is actually considered a highly marketable and profitable skillset, it tells you all you need to know about them.  But then again, to his skillset....counting may actually be a high level skill that he does not have.

#2855039 FBI: violent crime rates drop to historic lows

Posted by MadHatter on 17 July 2014 - 06:30 AM

but he has a marketable skill (counting poo) therefore, he would never know the struggle living paycheck to paycheck, choosing whether to pay the light bill or buy food; or doing both by selling a little vegetation on the side.

You are correct that I probably will not struggle to live that way....nor will I need so illegal sell drugs on the side.

You see, I made a choice at a young age to do better than that.  I decided that an education was the means to a financially successful life....and I worked to achieve that.

Unlike most on here who constantly post that a college education is over rated....that doing drugs is "OK"....and yet continue to bitch and complain about what they do not have and what other "unfairly have".

Anything worth having is worth working your ass off to achieve.....nevermind, just go back to hitting another bowl and eating your Doritos.

#2854261 Jordan should get a lot of credit for the turnaround

Posted by MadHatter on 16 July 2014 - 03:13 PM

Mike, if you can bring multiple NBA championships to Charlotte you can hate white people all you want.

I just love that even after retiring he still wants to win at no matter what he does.

he is one of the most competetive peopel that you will ever meet....so is his brother.

#2853612 If You Are Cho: Does Hendo Stay?

Posted by MadHatter on 16 July 2014 - 08:10 AM

I know everyone wants to ditch him but I like the idea of having him come off the bench.  Depth is never a bad thing and he's still a decent player.   But yeah you're right, I don't know if he'll accept it, but he may have no choice.  He seems like a good guy so maybe he'll just take it with stride and just play hard to find a new home.

I think you keep him.

PJ is a complete unknown right now as a backup
