#3215178 So tell me

Posted by Ivan The Awesome on 20 January 2015 - 09:56 PM

I actually like the Seahawks, I don't love them. Their fans on the other hand can be very very obnoxious. If they win the Superbowl again, my god It will be the lesser of two evils. The Media will either way slobber all over the QB that wins the SB next. Russell or Tom.

I think the 'hate' everyone has for the Seahawk fans is that about 98% of them found out that Seattle had a Football team in 2012.

#3215034 The anatomy of a draft prediction thread.

Screw mocks or who everyone wants. Whoever gettleman picks will most likely be a starter, talented depth or a pro bowler.

Then there's...

F) The poster that sucks the life out of the draft topic because Gettleman is making the choices, so there is no point of having a meaningful conversation about the draft "So stfu noob, lulz!"

#3206989 Why does NFL media hate Cam Newton? (Bear fans take on Cam.)

He has some interesting points he makes and a refreshing outside look at our Organization and QB. Can't wait for Cam to get some weapons.

#3199832 Realistically, what is the future of Shula?

Posted by Ivan The Awesome on 12 January 2015 - 05:58 AM

This playoff run saved his job. The sooner you accept it the sooner you'll get over it. Trust me I don't like it but that's what happens when the lights turn on in December.

#3197533 Per Jay Glazer, John Fox may be let go if Broncos lose today

Posted by Ivan The Awesome on 11 January 2015 - 02:05 PM

lol Take Fox over Rivera, yeah, well Rivera has done something Foxy never has done before. Back to back Playoff seasons. It wasn't pretty this year but that's something you can't deny or take away from Rivera. Fox got complacent after the super bowl run. Screw his gum chewing golf clapping ass. I wouldn't trade Rivera over that lame duck jagoff.

Dave Gettleman-

You are a genius and pimp. Keep up the good work. That pimp hand is way way strong.

Roos, Cobb, draft safety, ot, wr, bpa. Three time NFC south champs.

#3196730 Congrats! You wanted it and it happened. Rivera and Shula is here to stay...

This post is bad and you should feel bad.

#3196149 I ain't even mad.

Posted by Ivan The Awesome on 11 January 2015 - 12:21 AM

Yeah. That's right. I ain't even mad.

Why?

Even though this was an upsetting loss. Even though we shot ourselves in the foot. The arrow is pointing upwards. Why? Well, take a look back at all the adversity this football team went through to get to this Game, both on and off the field. Injuries to major positions of this team, QB, WR, RB, DT, OL, etc etc. It was the next man up.

We found Depth gentleman. In that depth, we found starters as well. Analyzing all that happened this season up to this game, holy poo we are so close to getting to the Championship game and beyond. It's only going to get better from here on out. Adding more depth and play makers this off season will get us over the hump.

Cam Newton has been so sporadic but you can't deny the man has it. He showed us in that drive on the first TD that he CAN  respond, he can take over a game. The more experience he gathers the better he becomes. Last year against the niners, this year against the Seahawks. You can't ask for a better teacher, now it's time for him to learn from this so when he does get over that hump it will be much much sweeter.

Remember, Dave Gettleman is in the drivers seat, he seems to find gems each year. He's found starters in different rounds. You can't help but acknowledge we're in good hands and things will get better. We lost the better team, the more disciplined team. Most of the mistakes made are fixable. That's the silver lining here. They can be fixed.

Only thing I really want is a new OC and QB coach.

Now excuse me while I go get poo faced. XD

#3189999 Panthers reportedly interested in Duran Carter (Chris Carter's Son)

Posted by Ivan The Awesome on 10 January 2015 - 03:41 AM

Rather get a free agent like Randall Cobb. Then draft another speedster in this draft. I really like the kid from ECU, can't remember his name, he's really underrated.

#3188474 Why is Russell Wilson a better quarterback than Cam Newton? - Seattle Times

Posted by Ivan The Awesome on 09 January 2015 - 08:55 AM

I'm really tired of this picture that the media paints of Cam.

For starters, Russell Wilson is labeled as mature and Cam is labeled as a diva. The last time I checked, the Seahawks are the one's that had a divided locker room this year (which Wilson was at the center of), not the Panthers. But hey, let's paint a picture of Cam that displays him as a player that wastes his time and has had everything handed to him.

Wait a minute though, didn't Cam get arrested in college, turn his life around, win two national titles (JUCO/NCAA), get accused of committing an NCAA violation, get drafted first overall, set tons of records, have a sub par 2nd season, lead his team the playoffs the next year, injure his ankle, break his ribs, get in a serious car wreck....

And is now playing at an elite level with the city of
Charlotte in his corner (all while being somewhat injured).

The man has faced more adversity in 25 years than some will in their entire life (most likely this journalist) and on top that the media has decided to single handily put his life under a microscope and criticize him for every little thing (even the way he dresses). After re-reading what I just wrote, that doesn't sound like a spoiled kid to me. That sounds like a fighter.

Secondly, Cam is labeled as erratic, crazy, and a time waster. Well that's news to me. I didn't realize that spending time conducting 7v7's for local HS kids, buying kids Christmas gifts, buying families Turkey's on Thanksgiving, or working at soup kitchens were tendencies of a crazy, time wasting quarterback. Oh and let's not forget, he also finds time to be a franchise quarterback.

It's time for the media to realize that Cam's persona isn't a slight at them, their organization, or whatever team they cover.

His first down celebration, his superman pose, his contagious smile, his funny interview cliches, his impersonation of MJ (towel over the head).... it's not for the media.

It's for the fans of the Carolina Panthers and the city of Charlotte and I'll be damned if some asshole is going to influence my opinion on Mr. Newton due to a piss poor article like the one I just read.

As for Wilson being better than Cam (as the article suggests), we'll see come Saturday evening.

Reading this in an angry black woman's voice in my head made it feel more fierce.
