But the reality is that he isn't signed for next year hasn't agreed to a long term contract and I have heard rumors that gettleman had concerns about his emotional maturity before any of this. So to assume he is likely gone is hardly a leap when it is likely that either Hardy or Johnson was going to be gone anyway. This just helps tip the scale more toward Hardy being gone.
Exactly. We knew that after this season, we would not be able to afford both Hardy and Johnson. We drafted an insurance policy with Ealy with that in mind. Then Hardy gets in trouble and makes the decision easy for the Panthers. The combination of the high salary he will demand and his trouble with the law (not to mention a probable multi-game suspension to start the 2015 season) make this a pretty easy choice. Someone will pay him really big money this off season, but it won't be us. I think it has more to do with a business decision than it is a morality decision.
I am not allowed to buy current players jerseys because every time I have done so, the player gets hurt. Remember when Steve Smith went out for the year against GB? I had just bought his jersey not long before that. Sorry guys.
That being the case, I mostly wear my Sam Mills jersey. Over the last few years I have bought Kevin Green, Wesley Walls, John Kasay, and Steve Beuerlein jerseys on ebay. All but the Kevin Green were replicas, and they were all $20 or less. The Kevin Green was authentic and was about $40.
I wonder how the game will look on that home theater system when it is blacked out?
I'm sure someone will step in and prevent blackouts in the end, but I think its funny that all the Packers fans I know claim to be such a die-hard fanbase. They claim no one can get tickets to a game at Lambeau, that is why they come to places like to Charlotte to see the Packers. I forwarded them the link to buy tickets yesterday and no one responded.
Were any of you guys sitting in 524? Such an electrifying game with some awesome fans. Hands down, the best game I've ever been to. You would have thought my girlfriend and I won the lottery after the game winning touchdown.
I was in 524. I absolutely felt the stadium shaking underneath my feet.
With all the games I have been to over the years, I can only remember one other time that I felt the place shaking like that and that was when WVU fans were raising hell in the 1st ever bowl game at BofA Stadium.
I must say that our fanbase has really surprised the hell out of me this year. I hope we can continue to take steps in the right direction.
I picked up Phil Steele's NFL preview this weekend at the grocery store. Like others have said, I love his college previews and this is the 1st time I have picked up the NFL version.
I find his analysis interesting and he had a lot of positive things to say about the Panthers. He had us listed as a team on the rise based on his "Yards Per Game " theory. Also listed as one of the 5 teams listed on the rise based on his "Close Losses" theory.
While I disagree with his overall rankings, he provides tons of data to look over. He provides solid reasoning behind his projections, even if we may not agree with them. Keep in mind, this magazine is targeted to those who like to wager on the games.
