#3314926 McCoy vs Kelly

Posted by Rook35200 on 07 April 2015 - 05:02 PM

Chip Kelly gets rid of Desean Jackson, Lesean McCoy, and faisl to resign Jeremy Maclin. All of them are arguably star players. Now going into next year his top receivers are Jordan Matthews and Riley Cooper. Riley Cooper may have been the 5th best receiving option on the team the past couple of years. Desean Jackson, was labeled as a locker room distraction, a thug, and then released, when he had no history of off the field incidents to support those accusations. Meanwhile Riley Cooper can can drop N bombs and threaten people, and he just gets suspended for a couple days with pay lol. And not only is he still on the team... He's a starter LMAO. Something is wrong with that picture.

#3270792 Justin Smith also retiring from 49ers

Don't be surprised if some Vernon Davis news pops up.

I saw him in the barbershop awhile back. From some of his comments. it doesn't seem like he's happy with the 49ers either. Especially a cerain QB on their roster :)

#3243500 FO on ESPN: CAR should sign Michael Crabtree

Posted by Rook35200 on 16 February 2015 - 12:33 PM

Living in the bay area i see all of the 49er games and Crabtree is a really good receiver. He doesn't have deep speed, but he is an above average route runner and gets plenty of seperation. He is an upgrade over Jericho Cotchery. I'd rather have him over Torrey Smith, who i think is a one trick pony.

Crabtree hasn't had a quality QB throwing him the football either. As for Kaepernick, I have personally heard come out of one of his starting receiver/TE's mouth that Kaepernick has no rapport with any of the offensive players, and that his attitude is terrible.

#3236255 Carolina Panthers to pursue WR Jeremy Maclin and Torry Smith?

Posted by Rook35200 on 09 February 2015 - 05:26 PM

What about the fact he's slow doesn't get separation....he doesn't add the speed this team needs.. I don't want to pay 5-6mill for a player that isn't adding what we need..

I hate the 49ers but Crabtree isn't slow. He may not have 40 yard dash speed, but he runs some of the best routes in the league and gets plenty of seperation. The reason why he has been so terrible is because of Kaepernick. I've heard players talking about how Kaepernick doesn't doesn't talk to any of his receivers except for Patton, which is his best friend. He doesn't have a relationship with any of the players and he has a "you can't tell him anything" type of attitude.

#3196325 The difference in the game

Posted by Rook35200 on 11 January 2015 - 12:49 AM

Panthers have better weapons than Seattle...I don't know who'd rather have Luke Wilson, Kearse, and whoever the hell else they have at WR....our passing weapons are actually better the difference is the QB...

The difference is that Seattle has THE BEST SECONDARY in the NFL. Probably one of the best secondaries in NFL History. The same secondary that made Peyton Manning, Aaron Rogers, Drew Brees, and soon to be Tom Brady if they meet in the Super Bowl all look like pedestrian QB. It wouldn't have mattered if we would have had any one of those QBs, Seattle is just that good on defense. The QB doesn't have anything to do with it.

#3195509 Cam Newton

Posted by Rook35200 on 10 January 2015 - 11:29 PM

Cam played just about as well as he could. Take a look at the "weapons" around him...on the pick six, his options were Bersin (who fell down on his route, Cam's first read), Cotchery, and Dickson. To even have this game within one score in the 4th quarter at Seattle is a testament to this team's heart. At the end of the day, we just don't have the horses to compete with one of the best teams in recent memory. There's no shame in that.

why Bersin is ever the first read on any pass play boggles my mind smh...That happened earlier on the 3rd down sack in the first half

#3195398 Cam Newton

Posted by Rook35200 on 10 January 2015 - 11:20 PM

He played like crap if you ask me. Wilson proved why he is a Elite QB and Cam Proved why we will be home watching.

Is Aaron Rogers elite??? Cause he looked just as bad if not worse against this defense eariler this year. How about Peyton Manning last year in the Super Bowl and earlier this season? Peyton Manning is elite right? Give that dude a break, Seattle is a good team and they make a lot of QBs look bad. And for the record Cam played well enough for us to win the game... LOL at Russel Wilson being elite. He is put in a position to succeed by his coaches...Shula is not the answer

He came in with injured feet as a rookie and it continued for several years. But Gore has more lateral movement, more change of direction. Stew is shifty but not much on cut back running.

LeSean McCoy has the best feet in the game, then i would have to put Adrian Peterson next on that list. Gore is definetely top 5 though.

#3162744 Panthers to wear all white for Saturday's game

Posted by Rook35200 on 29 December 2014 - 05:36 PM

What color is the NFC wearing in the Super bowl?

Since Denver wore colors last year, I am guessing the NFC is the home team.  (even year, NFC, I think)

I think the strategy is based on the 2 routes in recent weeks vs. New Orleans and Atlanta.  The two home games were unnecessarily close.  The white in the playoffs gives you an underdog mentality.

Team with the better record is the home team. I believe that if the records are the same then they go off of strength of schedule.

#3032478 The Traditional QB Still Rules the League

Posted by Rook35200 on 20 October 2014 - 08:12 AM

yeah Cam is only throwing to players like Demaryius Thomas, Julius Thomas, Jordy Nelson, Randall Cobb, Reggie Wayne, TY Hilton etc. he should be way better than what he is now

#2939930 The Observer: Panthers Should Suspend Hardy Now

Posted by Rook35200 on 09 September 2014 - 06:11 PM

Everyone saw the aftermath of Ray Rice knocking her unconscious back in Feb. I don't get what all the fuss is about now. His discipline should have been more severe in the beginning. The NFL is just trying to save face now because it looks worse with the video from inside of the elevator, but everyone knew he knocked her out

#2930213 Is Shula waiting till Sunday to use the double TE sets?

Posted by Rook35200 on 07 September 2014 - 08:18 AM

I hate Shula...we have some really good coaches on both sides of the ball but it's tough to believe in that guy

 That sig
