Very curious to see the details but as long as it's in line with the safety market value set in FA last year I like it. Now we need to find a true FS to play over the top to better let everyone else on the D do what they do.

Rapaport says it's worth more than 22 million.. So I guess around 7.5 a year

If this is true, then it's a great signing.

Per

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000001017566/article/panthers-sign-eric-reid-to-3year-deal-worth-more-than-22m

"In signing Eric Reid Monday to a three-year deal worth more than $22 million, with incentives that could push the total package to $24 million, the Carolina Panthers made a statement about the veteran safety's value to the organization."

"Reid, who signed with Carolina last Sept. 28 after a long, futile stretch as a free agent, received $10 million in guaranteed money from the Panthers upon signing Monday's pact, according to a source familiar with the contract, which the team later officially announced."

3 years, 22 mil, 10 gtd?

I will take that any day.

That’s better...still too much, but workable

surprised he didn’t go for more, good for him in not being a diva

maybe tre Boston should be paying attention

You can't say a signing is "great" when you don't know the financials of the deal...

I can, and I did because that’s my opinion. It is great for reasons other than money, in addition to the fact that we have finally locked down a young talented safety in his prime who has already produced compared to someone such as Matt Kalil. I am tired of 30 year old + one year FA signings at safety. You can’t rain on my parade.

Honestly, based on last year's safety free agency, we overpaid. Considerably.

Love it. Excited to see him get back to form after a full training camp and an off-season without uncertainty
