Allen is literally just doing his job. He’s been asked to come in to help salvage an 0-2 season. He had one career start, and he performed well. He’s won five games as a starter in 2019, lost two on the road to two of the best teams in the league. He’s made mistakes, and he’s made some good plays. I would say he has been a very average quarterback. But I’m not disappointed in him. I’m not going to discredit his contributions. It feels very counterproductive. There are many folks just waiting to pounce on Kyle Allen at every turn, so there’s a lot of redemption when he makes a bad play. Anything he does positively or negatively has nothing to do with folks on Twitter. Nobody “called it”.
