The hands to the face is usually called when it is sustained.  I would probably not have called it.  I know his helmet came off, but that could be a loose chin strap.

It specifically help Oliver get a advantage.  He was able to knock the pass down after knocking Pardis helmet off.. It was by definition a penalty..
