I love these, I'll show you replies. Just proves my point on how entertaining this place can be. Throwing in that "Condescending Prick" line was a nice touch.

It used to take you 4-5 pages before you would get called a condescending prick. Now about half that. I would say the boards changing for the better.

Maybe if the sunshine pumpers hadn’t attacked any word that suggested we had issues on the team, there wouldn’t be as much backlash.

I truly believe that is the crux of the problem around here. Folks actually thought this might be our year. And then we get this. Kaboom. All hell reigns down.

The problem with our talent as well is that it's loaded to the defense. Who can't generate pressure and can't cause turnovers. That's supposed to be Rivera's bread and butter. You can't blame the offense when teams score an average of 20 ppg or more. It would be different if we lost 14-3 but we're not.

See, I've never been one to start threads about myself. If I start a discussion, it's about football.

You started this thread specifically to brag to everybody about how much better you are than them. I called you on it because I thought you were capable of better than that. You're pretty clearly showing me I was wrong in that belief.

Narcissism is boring, so... nevermind.

Not bad. But I just don't believe it. Can you try again? Maybe put a little more heart into it. I just ain't feeling it. lol

Not sure I agree with that. There is a load of talent on the Offense. High draft picks abound. Whether is is truly  Cam, or Norv being outdated, or the Oline being used improperly? Whatever it is. We can move the ball. We just had one heck of a time scoring last week.

I mean, 9 trips insided TB territory. And we got 4 flipping FGs. WTF?

This is your 6th repy, and you have yet to discuss anything football related. Naw, I ain't in your head. LOL

We just lost a game because the line could not protect Cam and not a single player stepped up. Also our defense could not pressure Winston and could not create turnovers. How do you have 4 first round picks on the Dline and 3 first round picks in the secondary and not shutdown a sub. 500 team. Coaching that's how.

It is hard to argue that point. Let's just agree there is plenty of talent on this team. Too much talent to play this poorly.

That is the one thing we could always count on for a RR coached team. They were disciplined. That seems to be missing right now.

Ah yes, the ol "Prove me wrong trope". I can't think of a better reason to act like a spoiled 2 year old. Oh no, my football team stinks. Let me act like a total idiot. LOL

This is absolutely true. We had the most expensive D line in foot ball, B Burns, everyone said Cam was 100%, our #1 and #2 WR were legit, etc. And then Buffalo came to town and reality started to sink in.

Some saw it immediately, some are still in denial.

Ultimately, there seems to be two kinds of fans here. Those that came here after 2015 and have been expecting to see that again and those that know it’s unlikely to see a SB run anytime soon and are ok with just winning the division and getting to the playoffs.

The disappointment of the first camp is what you are seeing.

Nah, you can do better. Daryl Williams could have blocked that effort.

I see that. Folks had high hopes for this year. It is very disheartening to feel like all hope is lost 2 weeks into the season.

The “positivity”/“sunshine pumping” crowd (really just anyone who talks out against the excessive negativity) will always win for the simple fact that it’s pretty pathetic that y’all will allow a sports team or any form of entertainment to plague your minds/lives SO much that you will spend the majority of your free time on message boards rehashing the same negative sentiments again and again and again in thread after thread after thread. I’ve reached that happy medium where I get a lot of entertainment value from watching every Panthers’ football game and will be a bit bummed out over a loss but I can seamlessly move on with my life after the game is over. You all on the other hand, rush to the boards for the entire week to shout at the clouds and circlejerk about how badly we suck...then rinse and repeat after the next game.

How y’all can unironical call out “positivity” in an insulting manner just blows my mind lol. “Look at you...all positive and stuff, having a great time and being all optimistic after a loss!! Soooo pathetic”. Like, you’ve already lost at that point lol, I have nothing but pity for those people.

It's like a race to see who can put out the hottest hot take first. It used to bother me when fans turned on their team. Nowadays, I just find it humorous.

I would not go as far as to pity them. For they know not what they do. They entertain us. And I don't think that is their ultimate goal.

    • everyone gets automatically enrolled in M4A after phase in. Its universal. Same way public schools work. Everyone pays for public schools even if you send your kids private. There would need be a niche market for uber wealth to have private insurance
    • Employer dependent medical insurance ties employees to their employers. Private for profit insurance is costly for startups, small businesses and the self employed.  Medicare for All allows workers to change jobs without fear of having gaps in insurance coverage.  Lose your job, lose your employer's insurance.  Again, no worries with the M4A system.  M4A has no co-pay or chance of being cancelled due to long term illness either. Medicare is the most cost effective means of delivering healthcare coverage in the nation and has been for over 50 years. Medicare covers elderly and disabled Americans, demographics that typically require some of the most costly medical care. Medicare isn't a "crapshoot" it has a long history of success in this nation of delivering healthcare for less cost. Bottom line:  Only one industrialized nation doesn't have some version of universal single payer healthcare and that is the USA.  Suggesting the USA is incapable of doing what all these other nations have been doing for generations is insulting.  The USA currently spends more per capita than any other nation on earth for healthcare while achieving the 37th best outcomes. The current system is broken and inordinately expensive, creating a financial drain on families, businesses and our nation's economy while simultaneously failing to provide coverage for tens of millions of Americans.  It is long past time to address this elephant in the room. https://morningconsult.com/2019/07/02/majority-backs-medicare-for-all-replacing-private-plans-if-preferred-providers-stay/
    • While I agree it is a huge loss for them regarding the perspective of the rest of the season, Mack wasn’t going to do dick against our tackles anyway. Our backup TE stonewalled him a couple of times. That’s the 2nd time we’ve played him and Armstead and Strief/Ramczyk has put him on a milk carton. The only teams he can feast on are teams with trash offensive lines or dumb coaches that can’t scheme to neutralize him.
