The NFL gets a hard on about pedigrees and pedigrees don't come any higher than a Manning at QB. If he looks significantly improved next year I'm sure they'll largely overlook this year vs. struggling to reconcile Bama Hurts and OU Hurts.
-
It's funny but Old Man Rivers was a sidearm thrower. It's an outlier but I don't think it will keep him out of the NFL.....IF he actually develops. The fact he is this far behind in his development while being given every advantage possible is maybe one of the biggest red flags I have ever seen for a prospect. All I can say is that he better look like Mendoza in 2026.

It depends on what the 2027 Draft looks like, I suppose. There are some potentially good younger QB's in the mix(kid from Washington comes to mind) so I think it will depend on what the 2026 Browns look like and what that 2027 Draft Class looks like.

They’re not boxed into anything. They can cut or trade him and never look back. if they start Bryce in 2026 it’s a choice they make. -
That throwing motion is fuging hilarious. I called him Uncle Rico literally in his first start. He throws just like Uncle Rico. It's wild.

I mean qbs climb in every draft and the Browns are sitting there ready to blow another pick on a qb. i know they just drafted two and still have Watson lurking around but Jimmy Haslam is a huge Tennessee booster and will do whatever Peyton tells him to.

They have boxed themselves into this position i dont see them unboxing until 2027 you remember Kellen Moore interviewed for head coach here …he took a qb that people laughed at this year. No one is laughing now i dont know that i trust Morgan or Canales to do the same. -
I mean, truthfully their non-revenue sports have always been substantially better than their revenue sports. By a massive margin if you really look at it closely.
-
Manning improved a lot over the course of the season but he has probably dropped to a Day 3 NFL prospect, in truth.

UNC is a women’s soccer school first and foremost
-
Oh Texas for sure pushed him out.
-
That’s exactly what happened. He got completely exposed by Georgia and wasn’t that good before that. Remember they actually sat him for a series in that game. Sarkisian is such a damn fraud.
-
UNC saw this And said "Oh yeah! That's worth $2M a year!"

I agree with you they have a game manager at Qb. They have a game manger in Evero. They have a head coach who is a game manager as OC because he has a game manager at qb even Canales cute, little mantra of ‘do right longer’ goes to game management hard to win games depending on other teams making mistakes and your team making none as a winning strategy The nfl isnt like that It is the unexpected and adjusting successfully to the unexpected young played well for young. but in the NFL that is not enough and everything has to be perfect Nothing is perfect in a nfl game Young also continues with horrible footwork and that causes many of his issues. Year 3, still there i dont know where this team is going but i feel the Canales snd Young path is not going to get this team back to a higher path. Losing twice to the Saints is egregious Canales has not been that successful against Bowles either and evero cant stop Mike Evans to save his very soul it will be interesting sunday -
That's hilarious. I wonder if it was a "mutual parting of ways" given they had Arch Manning and they knew he wouldn't be able to beat out Ewers again.
-
Yeah, his OSU season went down as a redshirt year so he had another year of eligibility remaining.

This news is a GIANT glowing neon warning sign for the Panthers front office. Unfortunately I have legitimate and justified doubts they will heed said warning. Everything they have done to this point has been about doubling tripling and quadrupling down.
-
Did he have eligibility left???
-
We would just be a substantially less talented Bengals. It's fun to dream but you would probably be looking at this roster being the at peak of its greatness right now, and it's easily a bottom 5 roster in the history of the franchise. I would imagine the draft capital we would have to give up would put us in a 3-5 year hole almost immediately. Plus, if I were Burrow, I would immediately retire if the idea of being traded here was on the table.
-
Yeah, Ewers made a really dumb decision. He's a posterchild of a guy who needs to cash NIL checks until he runs out of eligibility. He's a very limited NFL QB prospect but he's still a pretty good college QB. If you're a mid to late round NFL QB prospect I guarantee you there's more money for you in the portal than there is in the NFL.

Oh Im just predicting the narratives after the games are over.
