One played in a QB friendly system with a top 10 OL where both OTs will be going top 40 in the draft while also throwing to 5 WRs who did or will go top 15 in Their draft. Vs a guy coming from a NFL system playing under a NFL OC/QB coach. With a OL that wasn’t even top 100 Nationally with a not so good WR group.

On a high off recency bias of the Georgia game. that combined with the media jumping to conclusions and assuming we wouldn’t take a guy under 6’3. They all pivoted to the 2nd best QB, who was still good. And fans fell in love.

More like Bryce was the same QB without a OL or good WRs as Stroud was with a Top OL and Top WRs

First off. Who told you this? Bama’s OL didn’t even crack the top 100 in all of CFB this past year. Bama’s WRs were trash and “give me a break on no talent” is a lame excuse. HS rankings doesn’t mean crap. Ask Clemson about DJU who was the 2nd best HS QB to come out that year. Plenty of QBs will get the ball out. When their WRs get open. Bama’s WRs were at the bottom of their conference in creating separation. Bryce bought them enough time maneuvering in chaos (one of those things noted by our own Josh McCown) while scanning the field and finding the open man once the guy got open.

I mean if your WR aren’t creating separation and open in 2.5 seconds. It’s hard to throw it to them in 2.5 seconds. if he had 4-5 top 15 WRs who could get open in less than 2 seconds. He’d get it to then then too. Whats Stroud going to do at the next level when his WRs don’t get open within 2-3 seconds and he doesn’t have the perfect OL to sit in there clean.

Just returning the favor my man. Felt a little creepy when every time I open this site and you’ve tracked down every post I’ve made pooing them.

It’s as if the Mannings and Luke said the same thing. But thank god for the Huddle and it’s HOF GMs and scouts. We can all come here and learn a thing or 2 from some real football people. Like how we would regret Passing on Andre Dillard for a Undersized edge rusher from FSU with a spin move.

And back before March those same people you are referring to claimed Tepper Loved Will Levis as well. And I don’t think it’s even as close between the 2 prospects. Smitty said on his podcast a few weeks back that he heard teams at the pro days talking how Bryce Processes thing in a whole completely high level than Stroud. Daniel Jeremiah on his national media call said after talking to all the teams across the league. There is a clear cut QB1 in this draft. Bryce was always the favorite and the top QB in this draft. But all the armchair scouts and GMs immediately pointed that we’d take the 2nd guy assuming Reich wouldn’t take a QB under 6’3. And the same armchair GMs got to wrapped up in a 10 second handshake they saw on TV.

Thomas Davis on Bryce Young and the Panthers Draft
ncfan replied to poundaway's topic in Carolina Panthers
He was just on WFNZ just now. gues they’re having their draft party at TDs sports bar uptown He seemed really excited for Chinn in this defense. -
The score does line up a little with the film and what some of the PFF guys really have been hammering about him under pressure. Pressure situations=needs faster reaction and read times. Which the scores evaluate. And that’s something Stroud was pretty bad at. I wouldn’t take him off the board as a top 10 team at all. Because he has a bunch of other good traits to be a franchise guy.
