I could’ve just stopped there. but no, it’s not the eptitome. Not every top QB throws at the combine. Doesn’t mean he doesn’t have a competitive nature. In fact, his film says other wise. And teams have more than enough of that where he had nothing to prove throwing in spandex like most QBs top don’t either. Only question mark he every had was his size. And he showed up and got measured.

Maybe the GM and Coaches have an idea. And really have come away with a clear leader of the pack. Just because they haven’t sat down and said “yeah, that’s The guy”, and turn in the card. Doesn’t mean they don’t have an idea or know. And leak out some info. Josh Klein pretty much spelled it out the other day too. That the team wants info to get out before the draft, so their big party isn’t a big Bryce vs Stroud fight.

You could really say that about any of these prospects though

1. Texans do like Bryce 2. Stroud WAS the favorite when we traded because everyone went right to the QB size Reich has had. 3. Fitterer Is open to trading back. For the right price. Just like he says he’s “in on every deal”. On every FA and Trade. It’s why he’s said in the past he’s always open to taking calls for any player, but doesn’t mean he’s going to trade that guy. 4. Carolina is “rumored” to Bryce. Bryce was the top prospect at QB in the draft all along, and was always the favorite to go number 1 until the trade. They may have been torn on a couple guys but after going around to the pro days and meeting with people. Players start to separate which it seems and sounds Bryce has. This isn’t just some bleacher report rumors. We now have multiple local beat reporters hearing the exact same thing. 5. Texans were never going to take a QB just to take one. And there’s been rumors even back before the trade that Stroud wasn’t even the number 2 QB on their board. They also have multiple 1st next year. so you can go ahead and take the tin foil hat off.
