I just watched the actual interview and yea it seems he's talking about the Defense, but I wasn't talking about Cam's play. I don't think many QBs could come in 1 week off the couch and play like that. I also don't think he's talking about DJax, that was his first bad game this year and took full accountability after. BTW most of the team doesn't know Cam like that, so I wouldn't be surprised if some of them thought it was weird that he came in doing celebrations like that.

Think he's talking about Cam honestly. Not his play, but the extra celebrating seemed to rile up Washington and was a little out of touch for a team fighting for a playoff spot.

The way the D is constructed puts a lot of pressure on the interior line against the power run. For all his off field issues a thumper like Perryman would have been a huge help to alleviate some of that. That being said, Carter is not fast, explosive, or instinctive enough to be undersized and has no business being out there over someone like Luvu on rushing downs.

Darnold is about 60 pass attempts away from reaching Cam's season total from last year. He's also 700 yards away from matching Cam in the same pass attempts. Crap Jones is also about the same pass attempts away and 500 yards less with 100+ Million plus worth of revamped weapons to work with. Context matters, and Josh McDaniels basically used him as a glorified RB last season with the 2nd most rushing attempts of his entire career. Is Cam done? Possibly, but last year really didn't prove anything, and considering he is cheap, the team that actually decides to give him a chance might just luck out.
