I watched Young throw a pass against the Saints 20 yards down field to the left outside the numbers and the ball was moving at the same speed as when we played Payton Manning in the SB. Manning was elderly in NFL years by that point, and the ball was moving almost in slow motion. Young looks the same sometimes.

I have no faith in the coaches whatsoever. The Young deep passes in preseason looked bad, and the push passes looked worse. Is his arm injured is my question?
-
The QB coach and Frank and Beans are not really teaching Young much of anything beyond the playbook because he hasn't changed his play at all whatsoever. Not good.
-
Notice how Young's deep ball has no arch or touch on it like he fired it out of a t-shirt cannon? Noodle arm push pass.
-
Young as a noodle arm unfortunately. Notice how much we're throwing to the middle of the field and behind the los. Noddle-tastic. Now Young basically has to morph into some kind of poor mans Drew Brees to be effective, or we have to dominate in all phases of game to win. Not good so far.

The fact that we have to use bubble screens rather than run it down the other teams throat with the sheer size of our o-line is pretty telling. Those huge o-linemen should be able to do some serious mauling against most d-lines. If our running scheme is not a fit for those big guys, then that would mean we would have to replace the entire fatass o-line. How could we do that? We can't within reason, so you know the GM and coaches are asleep at the wheel.

In other news I think Moton is reaching his expiration date. Just some random thoughts unworthy of a thread.

I don't know if Bozeman put on some weight or not, but there was one shot of him in the Vikings game where his dumpy gut was enormous. Can we get the Panthers dietician on that? Someone make a call.

Round 1 - CJ Stroud.

If Bryce busts, was that the worst trade in the history of the NFL?

He could have traded a defensive player or two and gone up for Young. There were other options. He didn't have to trade CMC to get Young.

I can't latch on to anything with this team. The one player I looked forward to seeing, CMC, was sent packing by Fitt for draft capital he used on a game managing QB. I can't do this. I can't with Fitt anymore.

When I was a kid I watched a show called Star Trek TNG. There was an episode on the show where the captain and ships doctor were stranded in the middle of nowhere. The captain led the way and was confident that the direction they were headed was going to lead them to safety and civilization. At some point, the doctor realized that the captain actually didn't know where they were headed, and the doctor questioned him about it. He explained that part of being a captain was giving off the impression that he knew exactly what he was doing when things were iffy, and inspiring others to have confidence in him and n themselves. A good lesson from my childhood that I've kept with me all these years. I'm reminded of that episode when I think of Frank and Beans and misguided confessions.

He should have already been traded for the fantastic offer from the Rams. Trade Brown as well. Fitt has got to come to life and start making the right choices or this is never going to end.

I guess we could compare their first seasons. The team I liked the best under Rhule was his first team before Fitt poisoned the well. Although that team only won five games it was pretty fun. I had high hopes, but then Fitt came in and started the dark times. So for me that first season under Rhule was actually fun. By the time Frank and Beans arrived here we were under full on Fitt torture. Fitt had already traded CMC, and we had suffered horribly under the long reign of Sam Darnold. Frank's first season here so far has been awful and feels pretty hopeless. We're basically playing an offense and defense without the right players in place, so it's just really weird and disjointed. We can't hang our hat on anything really, and we have no identity whatsoever. This isn't fun. It's the dark times. No Teddy carving up things with mid range passes. No CMC running wild. Nothing. Just a tumbleweed of despair rolling by. We have nothing.

Should we take bets on what confession Frank and Beans will have for us for next Sunday? Will it be: 1.) I didn't get the play in quickly enough. 2.) I didn't know player ______ wasn't on the field. 3.) I forgot we had 3/2/1/0 timeouts. 4.) I was nervous because I left my hobo stick at home and i felt incomplete without it.
-
I thought Frank and Beans was going to confess that he had no idea we had two timeouts with 20 something seconds left, but I didn't watch the whole interview.
-
"To Shenault because they'll never expect that even though every single time he comes into the game we do that...mmmm."
-
Maybe keep that one secret Frank and Beans. At least try to maintain some illusion that you’re on top of things.
-
He honestly looks like he's on his way to being a long term backup QB at the NFL level. However, the jury is still out and we'll have a lot better idea of our fate by the end of this season.

I know this is off topic, but where is Mr. Scott? And yes Young looks like a busted pick atm.

Fitt has stolen whatever passion I had for this Panthers team. I didn't even watch today's game live. Fitt doesn't understand even the most common basic principles of team building and the rebuilding process. Never mind his disastrous multi-season ruining Sam Darnold trade. That is in the past. I'm talking about what he's done recently. 1.) When facing a rebuild that involves bringing in a rookie QB you want to trade your defensive vets. That is because you want an OFFENSE that is already in place so that you can evaluate the new rookie QB quickly. You NEVER want to drop a rookie QB into a bad offense if that can be avoided. So to ensure that the offense is juiced up and ready to go you unload the defensive vets for draft picks. That is critical. The Rams made us an offer, 2 first round picks and a second round pick for Burns. FItt, who is a moron, turned his nose up at that offer. I nearly lost my mind in the trade thread at the time. We should have traded Derrick Brown as well if we could find a fair deal. 2.) If you trade your defensive vets, then you don't have to trade CMC, or DJ Moore. You KEEP offensive weapons for your rookie QB who will DESPERATELY need them. Now Young is CRYING after the games. Yes crying, and he was doing it before in the locker room but it was unseen. This is what happens when your GM doesn't have a clue in @@#$% what he's doing. He doesn't have a damn clue. And this isn't hindsight 20/20, I said at the time this is what we needed to do. Fitt has to go. 3.) Fitt FAILED to sign a #1 WR for his botched pick Bryce Young. So Young doesn't even have a #1 to the throw the ball to, and if you say Chark is the answer then I'm revoking your fan card. We have a 13 point scoring poop offense and defensive players wanting their mega PAYDAY $$$$$$$ on a rookie QB led team! Idiotic! Fitt has to GOOOOOO!
