  1. They should have just hired Steve Wilks for a couple seasons to build up the depth and develop some players, then go get the big up and coming coach after a few mediocre flirting with the playoffs seasons to get over the hump. Better than the dogshit we see every Sunday
  2. Maybe David Tepper is just a certified loser who only hires coaches with ties to Pennsylvania. He’s just going to hire another Pennsylvania jabroni to rinse and repeat his brain dead loser cycle
  3. Here's the same metric of the 75mi radius of Austin. Granted this area is closer to two other NFL franchises than the Charlotte area. However the Dallas 75mi radius has 8.5m people and the Houston 75mi radius has 7.6m people and none of these areas overlap with each other. Texas just has a lot of people and could easily support 3 NFL franchises. Florida does it with less people. Y'all are crazy if you think central Texas won't get another NFL team. It's the biggest US media market (aside from dubious San Diego) without one. It's not going to happen tomorrow, but it's going to happen.
  4. Do I think the owner should meet the player selected #1 overall by his team? Yes. #1 overall players are generally franchise changing level talents, especially if that player is a QB. It's natural for the owner to want to meet them before the team picks them and invests in them and the future of the team. Do I think the owner should be at all the scouting events, pro days, and analyzing that player's value on the football field? Unless that owner is a professional scout or football administrator, the answer is a resounding no.
  5. Ok guys back to football for a bit. With Reich and two offensive assistants out the door, how much does the scheme change? The brain dead running game and forced pass-first attack is one of the primary reasons the offense struggled this season. There was a sore lack of misdirection plays, read option, play action, and have they even run a reverse once this year? I’m not surprised Duce Staley was fired given how poorly the running backs performed compared to last season. I’d really like to see the offense go full running game attack with all of the above. Put Bryce in winning situations with easy reads that put WRs in space to get yards after the catch. Without quick receivers the only way to do that is by forcing the defense to respect the run and be ready to cover all areas of the field. They will get winning matchups somewhere on the field if the running game is working. But hey I’m just a fan. We will see what actually transpires on the field.
  6. Tepper admitted he reads twitter and we all know for a fact he or his team read the Huddle. If the bad on-field product isn’t going to convince him to step away, PSL owners not renewing their contracts and an empty stadium might.
  7. Not expecting to hear a shred of accountability from Tepper but it will be interesting to hear if he divulges anything about changing his process or involvement in the on-field product. He needed to hire a president of football operations 5 years ago.
  8. Preaching to the choir. At the very least the best thing Tepper has done is unite the fanbase under one common belief that David Tepper is a terrible football team owner
  9. As Dave Gettleman said, “Big men allow you to compete”
  10. I hope they go after one of the up and coming offensive coaches. Ben Johnson won’t go to the Panthers with better openings available. Brian Johnson ditto. I could see Ben Johnson taking over the Chargers and Brian Johnson to the Jets. The Bears might go after someone like Brian Johnson to develop Fields with big time playmakers like Marvin Harrison Jr available with their Panthers pick. Anyway I think Kellen Moore might be the guy. Sadly enough I don’t think the team would have flopped as hard if Tepper hired him over Reich. And we know DAMN well the team wouldn’t be this bad if he just kept Wilks. Whoever it is, it’s probably going to be another mess in a year.
  11. You forgot to add Austin's metro area entirely. It's over 5m combined. If the Panthers are going to consider both states as their media market, it's not even a 90 min drive between the two cities.
  12. the league would approve moving the team from smaller market Charlotte to Austin/San Antonio which has more people in the region alone than the entire state of South Carolina.
  13. If yall are wondering where the team might go, the Austin/San Antonio market is RIPE for a team. Put the team in New Braunfels or San Marcos between the cities, and invest in a train line. Brand it the “Texas Something’s” so it’s not a city specific team, like the Rangers. Jerry Jones would fight tooth and nail but, the market has over 5m people as of now and is predicted to have 6-7m in 2030. The region will get an NFL franchise eventually.
  14. Whooooo hooo $600k!!!!! That new escalator is going to be SICK
  15. The media needs a punching bag like him now that Dan Synder is out of the picture. Oh that poor billionaire....
  16. that's all but confirmed if tepper doesn't fire him after this disaster of a season
  17. you going to outlive his wife? We are f*cked. Tepper is the worst owner of all 4 professional sports leagues
  18. I made a thread about how there would be a random coach or scout fired because they were going to say "I told you so" to Tepper about picking Young over Stroud. I thought it might be McCown based on those sound bites we heard after Stroud's Pro Day, but Staley surprised me.
  19. If Fitterer isn't fired it all but confirms all the decisions he's made were really just David Tepper pulling the strings because from an objective standpoint, Scott Fitterer is a horrible GM.
  20. Some of the best head coaches of all time weren't the hottest coaching candidates when they got their shot. Only thing that matters is the wins.
  21. Bryce deserves a shot in a real NFL offense designed around the run game with misdirection and play action. He could actually be successful in that style of offense. He’s never going to be CJ Stroud, but he could be feasible
  22. He won't. If anything I expect he will get even more involved. We might see him on the sidelines on gameday holding a clipboard at this point.
