  1. Biggest negative is he directly had a hand in how bad this team has been. Biggest positive is maybe he and Fitterer didn’t see eye to eye, who knows. We don’t know how much of the decisions were on Dan or Fitterer or Tepper.
  2. Is the failed coal pizza restaurant off limits too?
  3. Never say never. The Panthers are cursed. Everyone knows it.
  4. He didn't really get a shot either. He got hurt in his first preseason under Rhule/McAdoo, and the Reich staff cut him. Given how awful the Panthers were this year you'd think someone would give him the benefit of the doubt. But his exit with the Patriots might be indicative of a bigger issue.
  5. Dan Quinn is not the right coach for this franchise right now. Would be a terrible hire. Quinn to the Seahawks makes a lot of sense. He needs to go to a more win-ready team. Panthers need a young coach who is ready for the big job but needs to take their lumps and grow with the team. It's been the coach they needed since Rivera was fired.
  6. What's even worse is he was bad from the moment he walked through the door. The decisions during the 2021 offseason were horrendous. We don't know how much was Rhule or how much was him, but still. He didn't have really any success. Signing Frankie Luvu? I guess?
  7. One of the main reasons Scott Fitterer deservingly got fired was repeatedly trading up for bad players. He was an atrocious GM and I am very happy he is no longer working for the Panthers. Legendarily horrible to be perfectly honest.
  8. The roster has so many holes they can't waste what little draft capital they have on another QB. They should definitely bring in some free agent QBs (plural) to compete with Bryce. Make him earn it. This franchise has babied Sam Darnold and Bryce Young to pathetic results. Get a QB who earns the f*cking job.
  9. I don't see Slowik on the second round of interviews yet. Interesting to see Evero and Raheem Morris go into second round interview since both are defensive specialist although both have some coaching experience on offense as well.
  10. I overlooked this but Raheem Morris was on the Redskins staff under Mike Shanahan. He spent time working on the same staff as Kyle Shanahan in Atlanta and with Sean McVay in LA. He could be an interesting dark horse candidate. Only drawback is he is a defensive coach. Goes against what Tepper wants.
  11. Ruined their drive. Dumb call. Running game finally breaks one and they call a bonehead triple reverse pass?
  12. Burn the panthers stadium down for passing on Stroud. No one left alive.
  13. Hard not to like Houston. They could win it all this year. Crazy one year turnaround. Lamar is a choke artist in the playoffs.
  14. Regarding Dan Morgan, we really have no idea how many decisions were on Fitterer or on Tepper. Tepper probably knows that. Dan might not have had final say on literally anything. Maybe he had some dissenting opinions that panned out and made Fitterer and/or Tepper look like idiots. Or he might just be another part of the awfulness that has spawned in the Panthers organization. We just don’t know enough to tell.
  15. It depends on who he interviewed with. I haven’t seen any info on who is conducting these interviews. The assumption obviously is that it’s Tepper but who if anyone else?
  16. It’s fair and accurate. Moreso they should just put a picture of David Tepper and it’d make even more sense
  17. Slowik is one of the last candidates out there that spent time under Mike Shanahan whose coaching tree is one of the best in NFL history. I’m very behind hiring Slowik. They can use the same strategy hiring an experienced DC to help him with the day to day head coaching duties or pair him with a veteran QB coach who maybe had been a HC or OC in the NFL for awhile. It’s a good hire.
  18. I can’t say there are many if any positions that are settled on the offensive side of the ball.
  19. Surprised no one is mentioning the Seahawks. They've been a perennial playoff team for 20 years.
  20. Honestly just sensible and realistic NFL team building. The roster decisions made in the last 3-4 years has been beyond atrocious. Less trades, better drafting and player development. Retain core talent, let expensive replaceable players walk when needed after their rookie contract expires. It's not rocket science but somehow the Panthers have found a way to become the joke team in the NFL. Thanks Tepper.
  21. It appears they're all virtual but I don't see any way to confirm that. What I'm not sure of is who is conducting these interviews. Is it just Tepper? Dan Morgan? Mike Forde? It'd be interesting to learn what kinds of questions are being asked from the Panthers side. The news that Shane Steichen's virtual interview "didn't go as expected" last year makes me really wonder.
  22. He is very likely on the spectrum. I don’t mean to say that in a rude way. It seems to have served him greatly in the financial world calculating complex problems to analyze risk and reward for his trades. It does not seem to serve him in the football world and yes that also equates to social awkwardness
  23. Agreed since he was already a pro bowl level QB. If Bryce doesn’t improve he will go down as one of the biggest #1 overall draft pick busts in NFL history
  24. The Browns gave up speculative assets (draft picks) for a proven asset. The guaranteed contract was ridiculous but the amount given up in trade for a young franchise level QB wasn't insane. The risk was the criminal accusations which seem to have hurt his play on the field. The Panthers did the opposite and gave up proven assets for a speculative prospect. Your point about the guaranteed is valid but the Panthers took on dead money to trade away those assets to make these trades. CMC and DJ Moore were the offense since 2018 and it completely fell apart without them. The value there was insane to give up.
  25. Did another team give up a very good WR hitting his prime, the pick traded for a HOF caliber RB, the #1 overall pick which could potentially be a legendary QB? The price paid for Bryce is ASTRONOMICAL
