Matt. The offensive staff was looking at me, Mr. Tepper was like are we ever gonna draft an offensive player. lol

E: Why Horn over Surtain? Matt: We watched Horn interact with other players on the field. He has an edge, competitiveness, he is the way we want to play.

E: you had the choice of every defensive player of the draft. Did you think about an offensive player. Matt: We thought about it. We loved a lot of the guys there. But we liked Horn, and he filled a need.

don't get Peacock, anything interesting said, or standard coach speak?

Bears Release Starting LT Charles Leno

when this story broke yesterday I almost posted "hey Mr. Scott, will check for coaching staff connections." Then I realized you'd get around to it sooner or later. -
Time to stop looking forward and start watching our a$$
Captain Morgan replied to bLACKpANTHER's topic in Charlotte Hornets
We need that win last night especially. I think we'll get together for the next 4 games. No hints on when Gordon comes back, but he never hit a groove this season anyway. I will say this though, I believe in the foundation of this team, and if everyone gets back like we were before the injuries, I could see a little noise in the playoffs. Then it's off to find a post player for next season. Enjoy the ride that's left...it's easier knowing we aren't playing for a title yet. -
I know Ron is looking at this list right now up in Washington...he loves him some old vets, and there is merit in having some to keep the locker room right, and teach the young guys. I get the feeling Matt is on the other end of the spectrum. I think he'll want to play his young guys and let them grow through experience and coaching. There is also merit in that. I don't think we have plans to challenge for a ring this year, so we'll give our young guys opportunities, and better coaching than we had previously (still pulling for Ron).

Bears Release Starting LT Charles Leno

29 years old. Sign him to a one year deal, let him get a longer deal after that with another team when the cap goes up again. Hopefully by year two our 3rd rounder will be ready to start after a year old learning as a backup. -

I'm watching on Fox Sports south channel. Melo is magic. He is having a night in his second game back. Needs some help to win this game, but I wouldn't trade him for any player in the league right now.

9 games left to make to try and catch up to Boston and our foe tonight, the Heat. We are in a playoff situation from here on out. Graham was questionable but just came in the game. Everybody playing except for Gordon. We need this win.

The Big Picture, The Panthers Draft, and You - A Synopsis
Captain Morgan replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
I also think Matt liked the idea of trading back and getting more of his guys in the locker room. 11 guys he feels are right for the team he is building. Trust the process. -

Alaina Getzenberg @agetzenberg · 4m Solely to make our lives more confusing, the Panthers are signing guard David Moore from Grambling State, as others have reported including @Jordan_Reid . There are now two David Moores on the roster and three D. Moores. Giving up now.

Round 6 (C) Thomas Fletcher - LS - Alabama
Captain Morgan replied to Jackofalltrades's topic in Carolina Panthers
just checked...Jansen is 35 years old. Brilliant pick with an extra 6th. -
Round 6 (C) Thomas Fletcher - LS - Alabama
Captain Morgan replied to Jackofalltrades's topic in Carolina Panthers
Alaina Getzenberg @agetzenberg · 6m This is likely some real competition for Jansen. Fletcher was perfect as a long snapper through all four seasons at Alabama. Jansen, on a one-year deal, can be released with no dead money. He's been the Panthers LS since 2009. -

so much value at WR in this draft, and we're taking advantage of it wonderfully. What a WR room!
