People are going to feel how they feel. I lived in Cleveland back when Ozzie Newsome, Lyle Alzado, Brian Sipe and others gave fans something to root for. Once they left in the early 80s, the Browns have really only had one, maybe two (if I want to be generous) seasons where they were legitimately championship contenders. Since then, it's really been bad. We aren't the Browns yet. Let s give it at least another decade. At this point we're still working on the first (decade of suck).

And Big Kat---not saying that you're doing this---don't make this decision out of distress of being at the bottom. It's easy to do things we wouldn't normally do if we are letting our emotions get the best of us.

I mean, unless you think we're becoming the Browns or something, ya gotta know that the misery ain't gonna last forever (not that we've ever been that great on a consistent basis anyway). Things have to look up at some point. It's been a terrible season for sure, and I wouldn't waste my money either. But if I could afford it without any strain on my pocketbook, I'd probably just look at it as a long vacation because it's an option that you may not be able to get back once things turn around, at least not at the price that you once paid. But, if you really don't care about having that option, then by all means keep your dough in your pocket and do like most of us, which is root from afar in the comfort of your own home and choose and pick whatever games that you want to go to without all the added responsibility (or problem, depending upon how you look at it).

I need to see that play again. It looked like Mingo may have been half-assing after Bland got the ball.

Not to mention that money talks. Worse come to worse, they can come here and get some of Tepper's money. Huddlers kill me talking about "no one wants to come here [blah blah blah]. I know, I know, "No one worth a damn wants to come here [blah blah blah]..." Money talks and bullshit walks. Plus, you never know who's going to turn out to be a great coach. And, there are lots of NFL types that haven't given up on Bryce. We just need to get his situation right, and even without trying to blow sunshine up peoples' asses, we should have enough money to strengthen the line and add a WR1. Not to mention that we could still make a trade or two to gain more draft capital.

I think people are thinking more long term than just this season, but who knows? Maybe we'll acquire another marginal back at premium prices.

You'd think, but the FO seems committed to tanking when it does us no good. Personnel---overall and game day---play calling, scheme, refusal to entertain trades for Burns and pick up some picks...we seem to want to force a square peg into a round hole this season. It's as bad as it has ever been in that regard. I'm sure that the Bears are thankful that we basically keep doing the same thing over and over again every game day. I mean, I suppose Scott and Frank are thinking, "You can't put lipstick on this pig." We'll just waddle in shít 'til the season ends. The off-season can't be any worse...I hope.

LOL. Not according to the stats or the eye test. But, like I alluded to, we are allergic to making sensible moves, so it's no surprise that he ended up on the next team.

He may, but of course we're in the top spot. We don't make logical moves though. We're liberal when we don't need to be, and conservative when we don't need to be. In other words, we spend money and draft picks when we shouldn't, and we sit on our hands when we could spend relatively little for an impactful player.

I can't say that with surety. I know the line is a huge problem, but even with that, I'm thinking Carter would be an upgrade for next season if nothing else.

Wouldn't hurt to add him. He may be more talented than what we have. Think how the Bills got rid of Zach Moss and now he's as productive as he's ever been. I think that you may be being a bit hyperbolic. Where Fitterer has been taken to the woodshed is in his pro deals. I'm highly skeptical of his valuations. Perhaps it's because he's mostly been well behind the sticks due to pressure, I don't know, but he hasn't been good. He has been Santa Claus to other GMs.

I kinda disagree. I think that he hasn't looked panicky, but I think that he has most certainly looked "frenetic" when under pressure at times. It's mainly when the pocket breaks down immediately. On a couple of occasions, he started abandoning the pocket before he really had to, probably because they were getting to him pretty good. In that respect, I see some cracks.

I don't generally dish out poo unless I think someone is simply trolling. The only reason I didn't poo yours is because I want you to know that at the end of the day, none of this really matters. But I still think what you did is a bitch move plain and simple.

And even if all the naysayers are right about Bryce being a bust, there's nothing that any of us can do about it. No one gets a cookie for being in the Bryce is a bust train early. It's still a sad day for Panthers fans once the NFL comes to that conclusion.

Many many NFL people are fooling themselves then. And the thing is, no one is saying that he's great or a bust; what most NFL people have said is that the team is so bad around him that no one can really say with surety what he is.

It's kinda silly in the grand scheme of things, but if enough people show up, it will most definitely get some press which honestly isn't a bad thing. The "Fire Rule" chants had their minute in the sun. If I lived in Charlotte, I'd be one of the silly ones, just saying. I wouldn't miss it.

Just face it: until we get a better O-line and weapons, the truth about Bryce will be up in the air.

I think that he has overall good pocket presence, but he is being "Carred." Standing calmly in the pocket is not necessarily a bad thing. It's really preferable, but having to run for his life just makes it seem like his pocket awareness is bad because his play obviously becomes more frenetic.

If I hadn't seen other QBs hop through their careers, I would say what you're saying is true, but hopping does not necessarily equate to sloppy footwork.

To be clear, I'm not saying Bryce doesn't hop on his toes, but what I am saying is that he's done that all his life, so it's normal to him and hasn't been a hindrance.
