  1. I see a lot of minutes for Walker, Batum and Lin. I don't see Lamb having a huge impact this year. I think they traded for him to see if they can get steal but they are not sure what they are getting. He might have some minutes. Daniels might get some spot up minutes. I don't see PJ or Roberts playing much. I still think we use one spot for Harrison and send him to the D-League. This would leave one more open spot for MLE for a big.
  2. This was a decision I was expecting but I was hoping that we would keep him. It seems like we have all stretch 4s and the only 5 we have is Big Al and he sucks at defense. I guess we will see what happens through FA but I hope we can get someone that can defend.
  3. To be fair to Frank, most of Charlotte hated the Bobcats as well. As for the trade opportunities: Who knows the truth? Does it really matter? Fact is we could have, should have but it doesn't matter now. I have come to terms that we are who we are. I will cheer for Frank and the team bc I will love the Hornets no matter what!
  4. I say yes. Even for as much as we bitch about this tea, barring injuries again we will make the playoffs this year.
  5. Still disappointed but trying to accept that he is a Hornet. Positives: Depth at the bigs. We won't have to see Jason Maxiel play. He is probably our Big Al eventual replacement but his game has a little of everything. How many 7 footers can shoot the 3, pass, have a post up game, etc Future Line-up PG: Kemba SG: Batum(resigned) SF: MKG PF: Zeller? C: Frank ....not bad....ok I threw up a little in my mouth
  6. Good to hear bc I have a feeling we are going to trade up but who knows I am usually wrong with the Hornets. Yeah I guess it would be trading out one project for another but in the process we pick up a starting SG that we don't have to wait on.
  7. So do you think Mudiay is a big upgrade to Kemba + 9? I do not know much about him. I agree about Porzingis. I like him for some reason but I know why. I would hope we can get rid of Zeller + 9 to get Porzingis but I don't think thats likely.
  8. Who do you guys want at 4 assuming Towns, Okafor and Russell are off the board? Also would you all be willing to trade Kemba + 9 to move up? I don't know who else the Knicks would want but I am assuming it would have to include Kemba.
  9. This draft is so weird for me. Usually I have some preferences but I really can't find any and my mind changes each day. But since we are talking about trades. TRADE BACK 1. #9 + filler to Boston for James Young + 16. Boston is rumored to want to move up so we move back pick up a nice shooter in James Young and at 16 can load up with either Grant for a PG or another shooter in RJ Hunter. 2. #9 + filler to OKC for Lamb + 14. Rumor has it OKC wants to move up. We can get our SG or backup SG and then still be in the lottery to try and get our target player maybe Payne, Decker or Grant. STAY 1. If we decide on not resigning Biz then WCS is my guy. I am a huge fan of his versatility. 2. Oubre and Myles Turner are my WTF picks. They are our typical WTF picks that we have and need tons of time to develop and Clifford doesn't play 3. Booker is my wow we picked a guy everybody thought we were going to pick. I don't see Mario dropping so we get our shooter TRADE UP 1. Just don't see it happening. We don't have the pieces
  10. I am truly excited about the potential of the receiving core. I can't wait to see KB and Funchess on the field together with Corey Brown. This is going to be a fun year
  11. Thanks for the update. My question is right now the unknown with Shaq Thompson. I know he will not be at OTAs but do you notice any different defensive line-ups where we might plug in Shaq when he gets on the field or do you think that we will have to wait for training camp to see any different formations?
  12. I am worried of course because it's impossible to replace Hardy's production BUT.... We all know that very rarely do 1st year ROOKIE DEs make a difference and are super productive in year 1. So the fact that we didn't draft one doesn't really impact this season. I do hope to see some progression by Ealy and Alexander this year but even last year we started to see some pressure by our front 4 without Hardy. I think we will blitz more and create pressure in other ways using Shaq and TD because I think we have more confidence in our CBs and S.
  13. I agree with all you said except #2 & #6. Cam will never slide. He mentioned he prefers going down in that awkward dive for whatever reason so I do not see that changing. He does take a lot of losses but that is what makes Cam special. He gets out of crazy losses and makes spectacular plays which makes him special. If he threw it away when there was pressure he would be like Jimmy Clausen and that drove us mad. I do think having options on the field will help with that. And please lets not have passing patterns where 3 receiving targets are all going 20 yards down the field when we have 3rd and 1-3.
  14. I am excited as well. I have a strong feeling that Oher will be a big upgrade from Bell. I also like that we seem to have cohesion as well. For us the problems were not from the between the 20s, the problems were in the Red Zone! And so what do we do? We get another huge Receiver! And not only that, we get a huge road grader at Tackle that could come in on short yardage situations.
  15. I love Cam but I feel like the offense is becoming very predictable due to Shula and that effects him a lot. Last year when he wasn't able to run, we ran a lot of quick passes and it worked! People were even mentioning him as a potential MVP candidate. Then Bengals game happened and he could run! So Shula went exclusively Read-Option and almost 100% in the huddle not utilizing Cams strength of the No-huddle. He no longer went to Cam under center and Cam regressed as a passer. So basically I want some I-formation and 2 TE sets like we had with Shock and Olson. Lastly I do want Cam to learn touch passes a little better. That is what I want him to work on.
  16. This type of thinking is very dangerous. You never know where other teams have players rated or where they want to pick them. If you base your thinking off mock drafts then yes we "reached". But then again the way I think we should look at it is that the Panthers went after the players they were targeting and wanted. If we didn't get Shaq maybe Dallas does. If we didn't get Funchess maybe the Saints do. We never know so Im glad the Panthers went after their targets.
  17. An early 4th and 7th to move up 7 picks! Wow that seems a lot for so little movement. So to that we might move up to 18 but probably not higher. If we do that at all
  18. The way I look at it this is a great pick for the following reasons. 1. We got a starting OLB to take over the position for Klein. 2. We got a LB that can cover TEs 3. We got a player that can play in the nickel and dime in the joker position (do we really want to see Colin Jones, Harper, or one of the other FAs we picked up?) 4. We got a players who can take over for Davis in the future. 5. We got a player that can play special teams 6. We got a player who can fill in so many roles to help this team (not including RB, he's not playing that)
  19. No OTs on the board. No DEs that fit our team. A ton of WRs that can be had with our 2nd pick. Sooooo this is a great pick. He can do a little of everything and I just like the playmaking ability.
  20. I hate the fact that ppl keep complaining about the Oher signing. Last year he was injured! That is one of the reasons why he played so poorly. Also who do we get in his place? Oh yeah Jake Long Mr. Consistently IRd. Some people will bitch and complain no matter what. If we don't make a big signing people are going to panic
