Look for that memorable Kuechly or TD cheating to the outside and jumping the route underneath coming across the field against Payton-Brees offense
-
McDermott and Thompson have to show up in the last 2 minutes
-
The have Thompson baiting Nix for an underneath route over the middle

And the game comes down to Shaq Thompson leading the Bills. Can he do what Evero couldn't?

Rodgers ending his career with a pick 6?

Would you draft a pass rusher or draft one?
CPantherKing replied to Jmac's topic in Carolina Panthers
We need an entire defense and a new DC -
Why aren't the Panthers allowed to play dirty like the Texans?

Here we go again with wasting 1st, 2nd, and 3rd round picks on offensive lineman. 2 free agents. 1 high football IQ leader in the 2nd or 3rd round for the interior. Two Day 3 starters. Stop wasting draft capital or be left behind. [if they enter free agency or the draft] Braden Smith in free agency or draft Carter Smith, Brian Parker II (leader), or Isaiah World. Take the one that slips. I know some are going to go after Carter Smith's arm length, but I'd rather have him with his fierce grip and control of lighter speed rushers than a top 10 pick LT waist bender on skates. If Bryce stays and needs to rely on popping out of the pocket to win games, then you need a Carter Smith or Brian Parker who can redirect a pass rusher at the rusher's hips. The lack of control by Ekwonu and Moton on their pass rushers change of direction is what always frustrated Bryce stepping up in the pocket. They are leverage tackles for a pocket passer that ride the pass rusher out. Carter and Parker can create passing lanes for a QB who wants to step up, pop pass, and escape. Draft Carter Smith and Brian Parker if they fall. Then trade Moton and place Brian Parker at LT and Carter Smith at RT. Could it be possible to flip Moton for picks that get you both of these tackles with 2 picks? I know fans would hate even entertaining this, but if you want Bryce to win, he needs to rely on his limited but highly effective skills. If you don't like these options, you may as well just stick with Yosh and Brady at LT. The pool and projections will shape up in the next 2 months, but I hope this front office stops making the classic mistakes of losing the draft capital battle that a dynasty must win. Save the 1st and 2nd round picks for core defensive players.

Why does it seem Evero has more pull than Canales? Tepper lining up his next interim HC to possibly hire as HC (Wilks 2.0)
-
Do the refs know we can tell when they are repeating the words over their earpiece vebatim from the NYC offices for replay and assistance?
-
Panthers win with Bears. Panthers win with Bills. Panthers going to win with 49ers? Panthers are not winning with Panthers. So, is the problem still in the building???
-
Canales should have overruled Evero and called a TO. Typically the HC won't stop their DC on 1st and 2nd down with 1 minute remaining at the 30 yard line unless the DC wants to call it. Canales trusted Evero and the next 2 passes were both complete for a total of 30 yards and a TD. Canales should have not trusted Evero to beat Stafford and just let them score so the offense had over a minute to tie or win the game. If Canales didn't think the offense could win against the Rams defense with 1 minute and 3 TOs, then he should have forced Evero to be aggressive and go for the turnover or sack.

Typical Lawrence. Sorry Goodell. Your #1 picks fail again. Can't bail Lawrence out like you bailed out Williams

Here comes the PI on the Bills
-
Jags allowed that. Should have run it down the LoS to run clock
-
NYC is in the refs ear telling them what to say verbatim lol
-
Backfired on NYC office. LOL. They are telling the refs not to blow the whistle to let the Jags have a shot at a fumble.

Need that QB who doesn't get rattled and can consistently command the final 1 minute or less drive to be a contender in the playoffs
-
Intentional forceful plant leg hits below the hip should be automatic ejection and 4 game suspension. 2nd is 8 games. 3 rd is 1 year. 4th is 2 year. 5th is end of career. There are hitting zones and if you're too uncontrolled to hit it on a defenseless target, you are done!

The worst part about losing last night
CPantherKing replied to ProcessBlue2's topic in Carolina Panthers
Ekwonu has always been an All Pro Guard playing LT. Franchise LTs are expected to have above average pass pro on an island Franchise CBs are expected to play disciplined and not get burned consistently by the top receivers in the league. Franchise QBs are expected to command the end of 1 score games in the 4Q and get into FG range in under 1 minute with all 3 time outs. Franchise WRs are expected to run precision routes and battle for the ball when one on one with the ability to rely on them on the final drive of games. Panthers are 1 for 5 in the past 5 drafts. -
Your Feelings on Bryce Through 3 Seasons? (POLL)
CPantherKing replied to Hoenheim's topic in Carolina Panthers
If you have Mac Jones, Bryce Young, and Tua Tagovailoa in the QB room, who starts? This will give me a better gauge on the Alabama skew. I am going with Mac Jones, but looking for his replacement. None of them get to sit around without any QB competition. I don't see any of them winning in the playoffs consistently. -
Dave doesn’t sound too thrilled with the prevent
CPantherKing replied to TylerDurden's topic in Carolina Panthers
Evero has been developed around Jim Harbaugh, Mike McCarthy and Sean McVay. His default is to go conservative when they tie the game or have the lead. Conservative when they are only 1 score behind with 4 or more drives remaining in the game. Defensive minds like Evero rely on playing conservative, stopping the run, playing to keep receivers from getting behind the secondary, and baiting/forcing the QB into mistakes. He's not coming with the blitz unless the team is trailing and needs to disrupt the opposing offense. His default is to allow the offense to win the game with the final possession in these situations. He developed as a coach with Jeff Garcia, Colin Kaepernick, Alex Smith, Aaron Rodgers, Jared Goff and Matthew Stafford as the field generals to lead a team down the field for a win or at least a FG in 1 minute or less. You should never expect him to be like a Fangio, Martindale or Spagnuolo. If you want to keep, Evero and be successful, you need a QB who can command the end of a game with calm and precision while knowing before critical situation when to take a risky shot. -

Alabama fan? -
Horn may be talented, but he is far from disciplined. Do we choose to forget how bad Horn gets burned. Puka took advantage of Horns weakness that he choose not to improve. That talent wears off with the years and it won't cover his faults up for long. I would much rather have 2 Mike Jacksons and 1 Micah Parsons over 1 Mike Jackson and 1 Jaycee Horn. I'd trade Jaycee Horn for 1 Mike Jackson or Donte Jackson and a top 10 pick. Mike Jackson, Donte Jackson and Micah Parsons or Mike Jackson and Jaycee Horn? Here's a better one.... Mac Jones, Tyler Shough, Jahmyr Gibbs, Chase Brown, TMac, Garrett Wilson, DJ Moore, Ladd McConkey, Brock Bowers, Zack Tom, Caelan Carson or Jaycee Horn, Ikem Ekwonu, Matt Corral, Bryce Young, Jonathon Brooks, Tmac That's how bad it's been

Tepper put many shackles on Dave. I am sure it is in his contract he has full control over play calling and the WRs. That's why you see XL getting featured less (3 targets if he is lucky). I am sure he would have benched Bryce longer and brought in a new QB while reducing Chuba's role even more if he could.
