For the start of this year I’ve always assumed Geno would be our QB next year I still think that You could even have Bryce sit another year. No harm in that he’s still really young

He’s thrown a few balls with elite anticipation He’s a timing thrower playing with WR’s who aren’t reliable. It’s why the Mingo experiment failed horribly. Mingo would run his routes at different depths, come out of breaks and drift. So now Young is throwing to a 36 year old Adam Thielen and David Moore lol Young has obviously flipped a switch this last month and he’s a different QB. I had written him off but if this is the Bryce we’re getting moving forward then he’d be just fine as our QB if Morgan puts actual talent around him. We’re easily bottom 3 in talent at WR and TE

4 years ago this board would sh!t on Teddy because of how he’d accumulate his passing yards. At one point he was leading the league in passing yards Now people sh!t on Bryce because he doesn’t throw for enough yards. Aiden O’Connell just showed what a lot of QB’s look like when Spags sends his all out 3rd down blitz and it wasn’t pretty. Threw it in the dirt and ducked. The Raiders also have over 100 yards rushing today. We had 65 minus Young’s 20 The Panthers are second to last in YAC I believe and Bryce has to earn every yard. Basically last in YAC and near the bottom in separation again. I truly don’t give a crap about yards. I just want to see our QB making legit throws and Bryce has made a bunch over the last 4 weeks while taking care of the ball. 1 real interception while being aggressive is a pretty good start

Yep he’s definitely a see it, throw it type guy. His accuracy and touch can be pretty erratic. He’s good for a highlight or two a game but yeah…

I think more of the blame falls on Caleb in this exact situation Caleb is a rookie but he didn’t just start playing football yesterday and he showed zero clock awareness

The anticipation has really started to show up the last 4 weeks One of the best balls Young has thrown was that deep in (dagger concept) to Legette against the Saints Then yesterday the anticipation was next level and consistent throughout the entire game. The only reason we were even remotely in that game yesterday was because of Young There are a lot of QB’s in the league that won’t ever throw with the type of anticipation Young showed all day yesterday. I really hope Young gets in the damn weight room this offseason. The ability to anticipate and read defenses at a high level is clearly there. Now it’s on the Panthers and this staff to continue to build a team around him

There always seemed to be a excuse for Burns and the lack of sacks At this point there isn’t an excuse left. We’ve seen him in a 4-3. We’ve seen him in a 3-4. We’ve seen him partnered up with a better pure pass rusher (Reddick). We’ve now seen him on a NY team with a very solid front 4. Burns is who he is. Would be the greatest touch football edge rusher in history if there was such a league but there’s not. He makes the odd splash and outside of that he’s a bit of a liability. The most annoying part of passing on the Rams trade is that they ended up with a guy in Jared Verse who is a better version of Brian Burns with a pick that should’ve been ours

Bryce has been a completely different QB since coming back. That started in Denver where it was obviously he was playing a lot more loose and willing to push the ball downfield Bryce continues to build off of the previous weeks performance and that’s what you want to see Bryce has been making some real good anticipation throws. Reading defenses well. Pushing the ball downfield (7 throws of 20+ air yards yesterday. 8 if you want to include PI to Thielen). The deep ball accuracy has been there. Some of Young’s best throws yesterday were incompletions. Sideline balls to XL and Moore both should’ve been caught. RZ dot to Tremble should’ve been caught. And another RZ ball to Moore that Young gave him a chance at. Bryce is starting to execute Canales offense and yesterday Canales finally opened it up a bit. Canales was to blame for the 126 passing yards in Germany as he played a more conservative game. The next bit I’m looking for his for Young to be a bit more decisive with running the ball. Start putting that on film and it’ll help open things up a tad

Bryce was fantastic today He’s constantly being let down by his pass catchers Bryce has come back a different QB since his benching and I’m here for it
