Correct.. Already paying the money try to get something out of him.. Even if it’s camp competition..
-
Then just cut him..
-
He said no last season as well.. And even with the 2nd best money deal we weren't in the top 2 choices at the end of the day.. So we can act like the 230 mil would have swung him to us.. Maybe . But he wasn't asking Atlanta or the Saints to pay that much I promise.. And they were in the final 2..

The more QBS in that room the less reps you have for Sam and Corral..
-
Not arguing bro.. But you threw out a figure and I can't find anything that collaborate those numbers..

. CAM NEWTON Value of largest endorsement deal: Over $1 million per year with Under Armor Total estimated value of all endorsements: $12 million from Under Armor, Gatorade, Danon, Beats, Belk and Electronic Arts The exact value of Newton’s 2011 Under Armor deal hasn’t been revealed, but it is reportedly one of the most lucrative deals ever agreed to by an NFL player, with several sources reporting he earns more than $1 million per year from the sports apparel manufacturer. They extended their deal with Newton in 2015, making him their top-paid NFL endorser. Injuries caused Newton to miss much of the 2019 season, with rumors spreading that he’ll be traded in 2020. Feb 2020 https://opendorse.com/blog/top-10-most-lucrative-nfl-endorsement-deals/ That's a long way from north of 200mil.. Unless in 2 years he cleared 70mil
-
The story had endorsement money in it as well.. 12mil on his biggest deal+ 122.5 mil is way short of "north of" 200mil.. Unless under armour Danon and Gatorade paid him 50 to 70 mill together it's going to come up a little short of 200 mil Cam Newton Endorsements Being a popular rising athlete, Cam Newton landed many endorsement deals with major brands such as Gatorade, Beats by Dre, Under Armour, Danon and Blek. According to Forbes, his deal with sportswear brand Under Armour earns him approximately $12 million, which includes a profit from every pair of cleats sold. Newton lost his endorsement deal with yogurt brand Danon after he reportedly made a sexist remark against a female reporter during a press conference in 2017. Despite this, he continues to earn millions through ads

Lmao.. I'm not arguing with you bro. It's not worth Dude is worth 75 million.. I know you're bigtime but for us regular folks that's generational wealth alone.. Dude has a Productions company, clothing line, a hot cigar bar, thriving internet presence, buying into a 7v7 league for high schooler (side note do you know how much AAU basketball is worth) if he can get amateur football even close to that?? Whew!! Not to mention again his foundation and other business ventures.. If you don't think he's got profitable businesses outside of football?? Okay Agree to disagree.. Smh
-
And another business venture started Jan of this year.. https://finurah.com/2022/01/11/i-dont-invest-in-businesses-i-invest-in-people-why-nfl-quarterback-cam-newton-is-investing-in-plant-based-chicken-startup-daring-foods/

I don't know where you got North of 200 mil.. https://www.sportskeeda.com/nfl/cam-newton-net-worth-and-salary This says 122.5 million over his career so far..

-
Nah!! Ppl don't give credit to Cam's business sense.. He's got a couple of thriving businesses not including the content creating and production company.. poo I forgot that Dude got a few non profit companies that make profit.. Example.. His 7 on 7 league is close to being a established entity scouts and ppl pay to see and participate..
-
Great content @ellis .. Enjoyed it very much..

This is another reason why I think Tepper got humbled.. For a billionaire having multiple ppl say no (1 person twice when you bent over backwards to show how much you wanted him) to taking your money has to be embarrassing and very humbling....
-
I'm not a Fields fan but let's be real.. If we had kept Teddy as the Bridge drafted Fields.. We would have alot of assets a better Cap situation and further along in this rebuild..
-
No my problem is before even hiring Fitt.. He made it clear Teddy had to go. He trashed him in the media and was so sure we could get a vet upgrade.. So even before Fitt got here he set the table and burnt bridges.. Then Fitt gets here has to make magic happen for Stafford or Watson strikes out and you can't go back to Teddy.. So here comes Sam because the order from the owner is get me a vet and let's start winning faster.. He probably did like Fields but since nobody thought he would drop until a week before the draft.. You had already made your bed by then when it happened.. Based on desperation..
-
Some ppl act like they didn't hear this.. Also the fact his buzz word in the press conference was patience and dam near admitted he wasn't patient which led to some bad decision..
-
It's not a full tank letting things develop naturally.. If your owner doesn't poo on Teddy after a "pandemic" season.. You're not paying him to play for another team.. You don't make the Darnold trade losing assets and (that gets you a worst offense and the same amount of wins).. You have a bridge QB and Fields in the dugout.. Because its been said to me by ppl in the know.. If they don't trade for Sam Fields was the picked.. But the rush to get a winning record was a reason Tepper wanted a Vet QB and not wait on a rookie.. Which this team should have done.
-
Or let one of the best LT prospect in the draft develop into 1 of the best LT in the league... Honestly who said Ikcy was a bad pass blocker?? He might be great run blocker and that's his best attribute now.. But he isn't a bad pass blocker either.. Just leave him at LT.. Leave Moton at his best Position RT and let the oline develop..
-
Humbled for pushing the staff to ramp up on a rebuild that they weren't ready for.. While telling the fan base that we will be patient and build the right way.. Trashing a QB you still have to pay before having a replacement in the building.. Hiring a head coach with little to no NFL experience and letting him pick a staff with little to no NFL experience.. You can believe what you want.. But .. JMO alot of moves have happened because Tepper was impatient and push for moves to be made trying to be a winner faster...
-
Clowny makes sense.. Hometown kid we could use a vet DE good at run defense.. Also still have years of production.. Cons Will cost money.. Injury concerns
-
Or the narratives was correct and he got humbled and learned and changed for the better.. He did say he was impatient and idiot..
-
Yeah.. Brady coming out had no where near the athleticism or arm talent of Corral.. If Corral has 10% of the mental game and crazy, lunatic competitiveness Brady has.. He'll be okay..
