Dave Canales is a Pete Carroll disciple through and through why not run Dowdle doen there on the 2 yard line.

Thats true but the thing about it Rozeboom and Wallace weren't particularly great in coverage so it would have been an liability either way. In the 2nd half of the Falcons game Cherelus had some good pass breakups.

CMC has only rushed for over 100 yards in a game twice this season. If he does get 200 its going to be a receiving and rushing totals. He is the 49ers offense however so that may be possible, he leads them in rushing and receiving. He actually has more receiving yards on the seaon than he does does rushing yards. 49ers run him to keep teams honest but they want to pass, hopefully our linebackers Kry Barnes, Claude Cherelus, are not liabilities in coverage. Then again 49ers are down to their 3rd string linebackers as well.

I think I mentioned his receiving out of the backfield was still a threat. High volume carries in a 17 game seaon will get you 1000 yards, the 49ers are dead last in rushing yards a game. Mccaffrey is averaging 3.7 yards a carry that's below league average. His longest run on the second is 20 yards, whether thats due to the Oline or Mccaffrey slowing down the rushing yards are what they are. Dowdle has been pretty good in the passing game this season as well thus with him being the more effectic runner, it's a PUSH in my eyes. Of course Mccaffrey has proven to be the better player, but that's mean nothing Monday night.

Are we speaking about career? Or are we speaking about the 2025 season and the game that's being played Monday night? Because I could pull up the stats and see if my interpretation is off.

Germaine Pratt had a good game for the Colts today, The Panthers should have been in the market especially with our linebacker depth.

I beg to differ. I would take our young core of offensive players over the 49ers. Panthers: Receivers Tmac, Legette, Coker, Horn Jr. 49ers: Receivers Pearsall, Jennings, Borne, Robinson The 49ers have the edge at Qb due to experience, but if Young ever puts it together he may have more upside. Mccaffrey and Dowdle are a push this season, Mccaffrey is still great out of the backfield catching the ball, but he's been inefficient running this season, the 49ers are dead last in the NFL in rushing yards a game and near the bottom in yards per attempt. Their defense without Warner and Bosa, it's not even close to actual playmakers, they don't have a Derek Brown on the D-line or a JC Horn, Trevon Moehrig in the secondary.

Just poor roster management. The NFL out of all the professional leagues is set up for a team to rise from worse to first from one season to the next. So to go 7 seasons without a winning record you have to make some really poor choices in coaching hiring, and roster management.

Resign that man!! He's been invaluable to the Panthers this season, there certainly wouldnt be a Monday night game with playoff implications against the the 49ers who sit at 7-4 and current 7th seed against the Panthers 6-5 current 9th seed. With Tampa only a half game lead in the Division with a trip to LA to take on the hottest team in the NFC the Rams. If he doesnt go off against Miami, Dallas, Greens Bay. we certainly lose all those games and the only real discussion on this board is who we taking in the draft.
