Will our cap wealth next season change Gettleman?

Thanks for posting, I was waiting by the computer days for another thread of yours. -
Kiper is starting to hype up Perriman. What are the chances...
t96 replied to Matthias's topic in Carolina Panthers
If Cooper fell to us I think I'd die of shock. The chances are .00000000000000000000000000001% though. And if he were to fall it would not be because of Perriman. -
Who I want us to pick: 1. Landon Collins 2. Nelson Agholor 3. Cedric Ogbuehi 4. Justin Hardy
-
What if Cam's real accident had happened on April Fools Day?
-
Hardy remains on the exempt list for the next 10 years until he just says "fug it" and retires.
-
You forgot Moose, and even Ricky can come out of retirement and hell at this point bring back Pep too.
-
They are all separate predictions.

We have a 1500 yard rusher (not Cam). KB gets 15+ TDs. Corey Brown gets 500+ yards. Norman, Tre and Bene combine for 20 interceptions. Our offense finishes with the least amount of turnovers in the league. TD makes his first pro-bowl in a dominating season. Ealy gets 8+ sacks. KK gets 10 sacks. Our first round pick is voted OROY or DROY. Olsen doesn't hit 800 yards, but Dickson gets 500+. Rivera goes 100% on challenges. Our special teams ends up in the top 5 overall. Our defense and offense are both ranked top 10 in scoring. One of our comp picks ends up being voted to the all-rookie team. 19-0. Beat Seattle by more than 14. Hold Luck to 0 touchdowns and pick him off at least 2 times. Score at least 56 in a game. Get 4 shutouts. Cam throws for 4500 and 40 TDs. We have two 1000 yards WIDE RECEIVERS. No Huddler complains about Shula even once in any game. I am able to go to every home game. Jacksonville is our only loss. No team scores more than 17 on us.

Greg who...?
-
That is outrageous. YAC from Boykin was a product of Rodgers and the Packers offense. Philly is already a significantly better route runner than Boykin.
-
He had some clutch first downs but I can't get that tipped pass that was picked off out of my mind ( I think against the Aints). Only gaffe I can remember as a wideout though. Fine as a #4 for us. Just should never be the go-to guy on a play in the playoffs against Seattle's secondary...

I haven't read past the first few posts. Should I not?

I love it when people just randomly rip on Rivera because they assume that players are on the team because he "loves JAGs" or "wants Rudys to succeed," as if the GM and positional coaches have absolutely nothing to do with those players getting playing time or being on the roster... And I never ever said that his roster spot will be handed to him or that it's his "God given right." His play on the field has shown me that he is a quality receiver and that he is worthy of not only a roster spot, but a contributing role, and he has a lot of potential and room to improve. If he magically, out of nowhere declines significantly from last year (which doesn't just happen barring serious injury that limits explosiveness, i.e. Nicks and Crabtree) then sure he may not make it. But I don't see that happening. If he continues to play like he did last year or improves, he will earn his roster spot.
-
You laugh now, but let's remember this and see where each's career is at a few years down the road.
-
Proehl does too? And DG as well? Because they probably make up 90% of the decision of whether to keep Brown on the roster or not.
-
Already got it on the fight I'm just saying how certain I am he'll be on the team, and likely contributing. I don't get why you hate Corey. He's already better than your boy Moore.
-
Having absolutely nothing to do with my feelings towards Philly or my fandom, I would bet $10,000 (pretty much everything I have) that he's on the roster through all of next season.

I'm not "justifying his unemployment," I was pointing out that Scot's "arguments" were not great arguments as to why Nicks is worse than Cotchery. If he had tried to explain why Cotch is better instead of saying "then why is Nicks unemployed" then I would've accepted that as his opinion. If you want me to use a better example I'll say this... Why was Remmers unemployed last year, while Chandler had a starting job? Why is Bersin employed while Crabtree isn't? I was just pointing out that his arguments weren't viable in my opinion.
-
I never said a team was looking at him as a starter or that Nicks is being looked at as a starter. And I also never compared him to Jennings. Nice reading comprehension.
-
Irrelevant. I can name a team interested in The Golden Calf of Bristol. Does that make him a better player at his position than Nicks is at his position? There are likely teams interested in Nicks, it's just not being reported.
-
You know better than to use an argument like that... Why is Jennings unemployed?
