  1. too many people here are looking at O'Leary as a TE. He's a fullback hybrid TE with great hands and a knack for scoring in the red zone. I've also heard people say he benefitted from a good QB...well what the heck kinda QB do we have? Tolbert - 5'9" 240 (more closer to 280) fat and old cap savings 2.4 million o'Leaty - 6'3 250 not fat, not old which one do you think has a better chance at picking up a blitz or catching a screen pass?
  2. half of last season that is what Olsen was used as. drop Tolbert, who has suspect hands and durability issues and pick up a hybrid TE that eats nails and spits out bullets for breakfast. O'leary is a gamer on a National Championship team with a great background and no record of injuries. Line Tolbert up against O'Leary and I put the house on the Irish.
  3. he's versatile and would be a better replacement for Tubberts if the FO decides to cut him.
  4. I'm not sure that you see the real value of picking up O'leary. he's basically a full back that can line up in the backfield, chip block, protect Cams blind side on blitzes, set up screens, run on short down yardage, keep Olson on the line out of the backfield, catch screen passes and slide out on bootlegs in the red zone. that is quite a bit of value
  5. I'd like Shaq Thompson, but totally agree with the rest. Landing O'Leary would enable us to cut Tolbert, who is basically worthless at this point in his Career and taking up a good chunk of cap space. having Oleary in the backfield would keep Olson on the line running routes instead of blocking for poor OL support.
  6. yeah, we need a speedy receiver that can fight for the ball wether it be laying out or coming back and attacking the ball on a bail out.
  7. this guy is a high twitch yet fluid in his reaction movements. no unnecessary movement in his direction transitions. he's strong quick, fast and fluid. this guy has the "it" factor that you just can't teach. this is a guy you can throw on the field and say "now go play some football," and that's exactly what he'll do.
  8. there was nothing wrong with shaq's combine. he was fluid and polished...one of those guys that made it look easy. balanced and fluid. I hpe this guy falls to us because TD's 9 million payday is coming up quick and we are gonna need that money for Luke.
  9. this kid can ball. he's got "it" and has the balance and speed to play wherever we need him. like Jeremy said. the guy is a football player and he and Davis are like two peas in a pod. definitely want!!!
  10. that "it" factor is apparent with the prospects that have "it." and "it" is undeniable when it's recognized. sure, some show "flashes," but "it" is a gift and couple that with hard work and dedication and "it" shines through. "it" is something that can't be taught, learned or bought and those that have "it" are the guys you want.
  11. his workout with Cam will be the true tale of the tape. it takes great hands to be a receiver for Cam.
  12. 108 base salary for 6 years with a 30 million signing bonus prorated. comes to 23 million per year. done
  13. I don't want any more WR that can't catch Cams bullets. just bring Ginn or Royal in and let it play out with Olsen, Cotchery, Benji, Philly, Bersin, Hill and Webb. we should draft BPA with a heavy emphasis on the trenches and ball Hawks at various positions.
  14. he's gonna get what he gets. I just hope it's from us and not somewhere else. I don't really care what he gets and I could care less about paying anyone else because I've sat here and watched rookie scrubs and a couple stud vets carry us into the playoffs.
  15. Deep South is where men are made in football.
  16. CJ for sure. he has a permanent skybox near where jR's is. they are close.
  17. anyone who thinks we can just offer the vet min and Hardy will be like..."Great! I'm all yours'" are smoking something. dude is top-5, if not top-3 DE.
  18. Ginn and Mitchell are a dime a dozen considering what we hoped to be coming into the year with one of, if not the best pass rush in the league. had Hardy been allowed to play, I could have played safety and would have been successful. losing Jordan Senn hurt as bad as losing Ginn and we brought in Underwood who just didn't work out, unfortunately. CBrown is gonna improve over the summer and we have a ton of draft picks to address PR/KR. Steve smith got cut because it saved us 11million for next seasons salary cap. I'll also say that he saved our DBs from turning into head cases as well.
  19. peppers took plays off and was suspect at stopping the rush. he didn't want to be here either.
  20. what kind of idiot lets an elite player at one of, if not the most important defensive game changing positions walk?
  21. if the league finds evidence of domestic violence and can prove it, the worst that can happen is a six game suspension. just let the guy play, the case was dismissed in court, the NFL is not above the law.
  22. yep. grown men don't respond so well to ultimatums and militant ordering/condescending attitudes. football after all, though a profession, it's still a game. you take the fun out of it and it usually results negatively. players win games, not coaches. it's the same in every sport.
  23. there are no charges pending nor convictions. the appeal was successful and Hardy was the party that called the officials onto the scene. no laws were broken and therefor the league can only speculate as to the occurrence and what conduct codes were broken. a lawyer could actually sue the NFL for privacy invasion, character defamation and for punishment without cause. it could get ugly. witchunts and punishments for rumor mothering could destroy the NFL if they aren't careful.
  24. hardy's lawyer can file an injunction as a players personal life is no business of any other party unless he allows it. charges were dropped without bias. that should be the end of it.
