  1. If we actually build a solid DLine to maximize his output he scan be lethal for us. But I also wouldn’t be against a trade especially if it invoked a first round pick.
  2. Rhule is still here so the suffering will continue either way…
  3. Rhule should be forced to ride or die with Darnold and Henderson deals.
  4. Trading next years first when are far from being a SB contender makes no sense. Even if our organization believes this draft class isn’t week, no QB in this class has the same “it” factor of a Cam or Andrew Luck. Even with Cam we went 6-10 his rookie year and we are far from being the NE Patriots who can protect our rookie QB like they did Mac. Good chance our 1st round pick is in the top 10 again next year.
  5. As in they excelled at LT the primary position they were drafted in or that they were still top to serviceable players at new positions like Guard or RT?
  6. I’d appreciate if someone could compound on this answer.
  7. My main issue Is the man who’s responsible is still employed. Gross incompetence like this is hardly tolerable. I hope it doesn’t set a precedent….oh wait the same owner kept Hurney…
  8. I’m no professional nor would I equate myself to them but getting a QB is like a basic tenant of squad building yet this administration has failed massively.
  9. I have no beef with Horn it was just a terrible pick if we wanted to maximize value. A QB or LT made the most sense, either to increase Darnold’s chance of success by beefing the OL or by covering our bases if/when Darnold failed by having a promising rookie QB on the wing to groom. Imagine how different our outlook going into this years draft would be if we had a promising young QB to work with. I thought we would maximize the value of our draft picks when Hurney left but we’re still doing the same stupid poo.
  10. And people are still surprised Rhule gets a lot of heat….
  11. If either Lawrence and Wilson were in NE and Mac in either NYJ or Jacksonville, would the results still be the same?
  12. There are no trophies for winning the off-season. I’d rather wait to see what happens on the field. Last years experience should be enough evidence of that for Panther fans.
  13. Probably not this years pick but probably next years which is very likely to be a #1 pick….
  14. Yes. He's made a once enjoyable past time a very drab one.
  15. I’m pretty sure Rosen is out but he isn’t the first or last QB teams will completely whiff on. I agree that unless we are picking #1 or probably top 5 we won’t do a Josh Rosen unless the guy picked this year is just that bad.
  16. The problem I have is that this draft can more than likely negatively affect this teams future. Instead of choosing a more reliable player at #6 like an LT or maybe even DL, Rhule may feel forced to gamble our only top 100 pick in a weak QB draft. If Rhule gets fired and the new wants his own QB then it would make this draft even more of a wash.
  17. I would agree this a better team than 2011. I just don’t have much confidence a rookie QB could get us much better than 5-12. Bears scraped by with Fields at 6-11. I can’t confidently say we get 8 or 9 wins with a rookie QB.
  18. There probably isn’t a better place for a rookie QB to land than NE. I wish I could say the same about here…
  19. For a rookie QB in our team to win OROY he will probably have to put rookie Cam like numbers and I doubt many would complain if we allowed Rhule another season to build around that prospect even if we finished sub 500. At least for another year…. But just as you said, it is highly unlikely.
  20. We will definitely need to rely on our defense. But has our D gotten better than last year? I love our off season moves so far especially on the OL. However, I don’t know if this defense can carry the day like last season and I can’t confidently say our offense won’t need carrying, especially if we draft a rookie QB.
