Reach? He is quite possibly the safest pick in the draft. He plays mistake free basketball, his IQ is thru the roof and he flat out shoots it!
-
Any questions? KON it is!
-
It's all about the fit... And Kon fits with this team. Bailey has bust written all over him in my opinion. A lineup of Miller, Ball, Bailey, Bridges, and Williams? Thats what you want to roll with? Tell me who the shooter is that keeps defenders from collapsing on Ball and Miller as they drive to the lane? Kon is a perfect fit with the guys we have as projected starters. JMO...And you talk about a small sample size? How much do we have on Bailey? He played alongside Harper, put up good numbers but they couldn't win. We can't keep building a team of 6'7" guys who have no true position on the court. WE NEED SHOOTERS!!!

I'd take that bet... We pick 4th and VJ won't be available at 4 in my opinion. If he is, then we pick him.
-
You comparing this guy to Singler and Scheyer is all I need to know about your opinion. He is the best fit for our team right now, I don't think that can be argued. Should we pick him at #4? That can be argued, as I think we could trade back a few picks to get him. With that being said, I think we trade back in the 6-8 range and pick Kon.

No more reaching for draft picks. Our pick should be Kon, no questions asked. The guy fills our most important need, and that's shooting. No reason to get fancy and do something stupid. Just pick the best spot up shooter in the draft

So, is he coming to Carolina or what? Predictions? Is it already done and we are working out details? What do we think?

General Draft Rumors/Speculation Thread
scratched replied to Bear Hands's topic in Carolina Panthers
Are the Browns really willing to start the season with Flacco or Pickett and get a QB late in the draft to sit for a year or 2? Don't be surprised if they don't take Sanders at #2 and create some chaos at the top. -

Every draft has a wrinkle thrown into it... I will say with confidence, at least 2 wrinkles will happen in the first 8 picks. Which could cause a domino effect. I really like our draft position; we will hold a lot of the cards come time to draft at #8- 47 replies

I hope your right... I'm pulling for him

I make the best case, the strongest case.... I mean its gignatic...

I like him at RT better then LT... His pass blocking is a problem and I'm not ready to pay him top 10 LT money which is what he will ask.
-
I have been crucified by the majority for that opinion..

As most now know, because of my topic about trading Moton, I think Tackle should be pretty high on our wish list. We have a guy at LT who most on this board still don't trust, although maybe last year was the year the lights turned on, and an aging RT who is going to want a contract that keeps him here as a starter until he retires. I just don't like the position we are in at the tackle position. JMO.

What is to gain by waiting to pick up 5th year option on His contract?

Do I really need to respond to anyone asking about cap savings? When that is the main culprit for the predicament we are in!

I see you're another football guru who uses one ranking and has that as the pinnacle of all rankings.. Pro Football Network has them top 20 overall. I'm not disputing that we had a middle of the pack OL last year. And I'm not disputing whether Moton has been good or will be good again this year. My reasons to get rid of him now are valid to me. I would argue we could bring in Membou and that ranking would be no worse then last year. And we would have a young piece for the future that can play both tackle positions. If you would like to discuss your reasons for wanting to keep Moton, then that's fine. But don't act like a child and comment "STFU". That just proves your ignorance! When we have to overpay to keep him next year, or lose him for nothing, I don't wanna hear all the crying!

When it comes to contracts and building a winning team, you better have an eye on both. Nothing wrong with thinking about the next few years. Do you invest your money only thinking about today? Or thinking about your future?
