  1. So all the Teddy threads, all the “winning culture” instead of not spending 80M for nothing threads? How did that work out? How many people did you call out in those? Or should I just post them. Funny how most of the same “negative” posters were on top of all this too. Imagine that.
  2. No. That’s how you want to read it. As I’ve said, specifically, my fandom is not an opinion. It’s used to dismiss any statements. You want to tell me I’m wrong, just tell me why. Pretty simple. But that doesn’t happen. It’s always “but you a Steelers fan” so what you said doesn’t exist. Yet the problems I bring up remain. Bring up anything you want to. Let’s discuss. Just leave your PomPoms at the door.
  3. Who faked being a Panthers fan? I was up front from the beginning I was a fan of Cam. And didn’t even post about him during those 5 years. How do you root for a QB and not want his team to win. I was told to be around for when the team proved last year they would have a winning season. So I stuck around. Still waiting. Anything else you want to make up?
  4. Not even close. It’s comical that my fandom is the only reason to disregard my comments. Not the issue, or content. I welcome any and all statements that can show any flaws or anything wrong with my comments. But going straight to my fandom just shows these posters can’t refute what I’m stating with any logic or facts. Then complain daily that people actually give their honest opinions on a message board. Most of this board wants an echo chamber. There’s an entire group of posters that have been labeled as negative when in truth they have predicted nearly everything that’s happened over the last couple years. I’m willing to revisit any thread or topic for proof.
  5. That’s obvious. There’s not enough time in your day to understand your own team. Build a business and retire at 50 and you’ll have plenty of time. Then it will be just your lack of knowledge holding you back. I assume you will be giving the same speech to the Jets and Lions fans currently here. Or is that ok because they are pumping sunshine?
  6. And I thought I couldn’t possibly feel any better about my wager. Thanks for the help.
  7. That’s fair. But I barely made any posts about that player. Mainly because people on here couldn’t have a civilized conversation about him and I would have made it worse. Never blamed the team for his injuries or the way he was let go. That’s what separates me from these current (and actual) trolls who will disappear by mid season.
  8. But those posters are just fine as long as they “tow the company line”. Me being a Steelers fan isn’t the problem. Continuing to be correct that the Panthers regularly make huge mistakes in roster construction, is the only issue. I just assume it’s the point in the conversation where the poster can’t refute anything I’ve said. So the default mode is my fandom instead of the issue.
  9. For a tidy profit, it seems. Don’t be jealous that I know so much more about “your” team that I can actually make money from it. You laughed at it all last pre-season, and pretty much everything I said happened just like I said it would. Want to take a look at those threads again?
  10. That wouldn’t bother me. It’s house money anyway. If I win, y’all can pick the charity. But with my history of predictions regarding the Panthers, I’ll probably be rolling it over to next year again.
  11. I was told the same thing on here last year. Then Won both.
  12. I’m putting 10 on under 7.5 for the Panthers and 10 on over 9 wins for the Steelers. Same bets as last year.
  13. That sux. Carl is one of the “good folks” you want to see succeed. He already tore an ACL at Auburn. Worked himself into this contract. He will be back, but it being his Achilles makes it tough to hope for 100% recovery. No matter how hard he works.
  14. I’m as frugal as it gets with cap space, but CMC and Kamara are different and are paid accordingly. None of the others have the skill set to cause matchup nightmares at any level of the secondary. Zeke is overpaid. And Barkley has a shot at 15M/yr because he has that capability. And CMCs contract on has two years at 17.7M/per(2023-24) The others are 14 and 13M. And only 7M this year due to restructure. No 20M/yr. I’d much rather pay the top player at his position than a WR2 when they’re sitting on the next Keenan Allen on a rookie deal. Of all the things the Panthers waste cap space on, a possible couple extra to CMC is so far down the list. What the team paid for safeties alone could have paid a couple years. Eric Reid(10M) and Tre Boston(9.5) for bottom of the league level production.
  15. At most, a conditional 5th, that can become a 2023 4th if he starts 10 games. He needs to get much stronger and meaner. Still a lottery ticket and even the 5th feels like too much.
  16. And the only RB that’s going to sign anytime soon is Barkley. He needs a great and completely healthy year to get to 15M per. And catch a lot of passes. Elliot is why the others are stuck back at 12-13M. He got his and hasn’t been the same(and neither has his OL). Kamara and CMC showed what teams will pay for their skill set. They’re worth it. The best move of last year was forcing CMC to sit instead of playing at less than 100%. Lots of carries that will be used in much more important situations. CMCs contract is the least of the Panthers worries with regards to how the cap has been handled.
  17. If he “hits”, he’s getting a new deal anyhow. Meaning that first year probably won’t even be that much. Even Tannehill’s first year is 22.5M because TEN kept it higher than usual. So in the best case scenario of success for Darnold, what did risking 19M on a very unproven QB get the team. As opposed to Darnold being similar as he’s always been. Which makes him a backup QB with a 19M anchor attached. Added to Paradis(9.2), Reddick(4M), Boston(2.6), Erving and Elflein being 7M each to keep, or (4-5M) to cut. Shaq’s contract(18M to keep, 12.6 to cut. That’s a lot of wasted value. Eating 19M is never affordable. With no QB, 3 OL spots(if BC plays well) and other holes, they are going to need every dollar they can get.
  18. I knew where you were going with it and agree. It’s more I still can’t believe someone in an NFL front office thought it was a good idea. At least with Teddy they were trying to get a FA to sign a contract. With Darnold, he was already here and knew he had a year to prove himself.
  19. Well they did give him 19M, guaranteed, for….reasons?
  20. Moore is a no brainer. Offer him the same deal as Moton. This year and next are still lower and 18M will be a bargain in the near future. Burns has another entire year before they can even discuss an extension. Have to wait until after 3rd year to talk about future. Anderson and DJax would be tough calls. Anderson is at his highest value. Only pause I would have is paying 2 WRs big money with all the OL issues and QB still being unsettled for the moment. DJax can be worth a new deal. He can also be a liability. But most folks say he played well enough last year and I didn’t see enough of y’all to say differently. If he will take something like 4/50M it would be a good deal. If he wants 15M/yr it’s a much tougher decision.
  21. That was nice that you gave him a title like associate instead of “coffee boy”.
  22. But…but… the Pom Pom club assured everyone that Hurney 2.0 would be different because he learned from his mistakes during his AM radio gig. While not getting a phone call from any other team. The entire time. Who could have predicted this outcome?
  23. Its just his monthly rant. At this point it’s basically a form letter with a menstrual cycle. Like this classic… TheMostInterestingMan Posted September 8, 2020 I hope all the Teddy haters are prepared to take the L and say they were wrong when he shows he’s capable of winning big games. He’s never gonna be a Mahomes or Rodgers. But he can a really solid QB for us. This offense is built nicely to be a first down machine
  24. Just want these poor folks to be able to “learn” from the Huddle again.
  25. Nice cherry-picking? Why not include Arians, Reid, or any and every NFL playoff team? Or maybe just look at all the examples like this 1st Time NFL Head Coaches hired Directly from College since 2000: Matt Rhule, Carolina Panthers 5-11 Kliff Kingsbury, Arizona Cardinals 13-18-1 Bill O’Brien, Houston Texans 52-48 Chip Kelly, Philadelphia Eagles 26-21 Doug Marrone, Buffalo Bills 15-17 Greg Schiano, Tampa Bay Buccaneers 11-21 Jim Harbaugh, San Francisco 49ers 44-19-1 Bobby Petrino, Atlanta Falcons 3-10 Nick Saban, Miami Dolphins 15-17 Steve Spurrier, Washington Football Team 12-20 Butch Davis, Cleveland Browns 24-35 Working from that list, we find eight of them returned to the college sideline after a stint in the NFL. Matt Rhule just completed his first season in the NFL, Kingsbury just wrapped his second and Doug Marrone has not yet landed a new job after being let go by the Jaguars two weeks ago, though he got a second NFL head coach job after his stint with the Bills.
