With all due respect, no one gives a poo about who won the ACC in 1963. Bottom line is over the past 10 years UNC has been a much better football program than Duke and had championship aspirations when they were getting elite play from the QB position.
-
This is just an idiotic statement, specifically referencing the actual ACC Championship game that has only been played since 2005, UNC has been in that game more than Duke and NCSU… COMBINED. So yes, over the past decade with the likes of Howell and Maye at QB, UNC fans had much bigger goals than just beating Duke which they’ve done so on a consistent basis.
-
Rosy actually had really good chemistry with Aho and Jarvis in their preseason game.
-
So what’s everyone’s line predictions? As of right now I’m going with the below: Roslovic - Aho - Jarvis Svechnikov - Kotkaniemi - Necas Martinook - Staal - Carrier Blake - Drury - Lemieux Jost Slavin - Burns Orlov - Chatfield Gostisbehere - Walker Smith Kochetkov Andersen Chicago/ECHL - Robinson, Trikozov, Nadeau, Unger-Sorum, Suzuki, Slavin, Gunler, Robidas, Jaaska, Brind’Amour, Ryan, Heimosalmi, Morrow, Stillman, Legault, Montgomery, Honka, Fensore, Seeley, Martin, Perets, Khazheyev Waived - Gagner, Grimaldi
-
UNC won’t be seriously competitive in anything outside of field hockey until they get serious about NIL.
-
Unlikely, UNC fans don’t even care that Mack has owned Duke because at the end of the day it’s about winning the ACC, not beating Duke. If your only focus is on beating your rival then you’ll end up content year after year like NCSU fans. Now if we were a playoff contender then I’d definitely be upset but this is just a bad UNC team that can’t be saved by Sam Howell or Drake Maye.

Huge point on the road against Miami. -
The young Canes blow a 4-1 lead. RBA will use this as a learning lesson for sure.
-
They look like they don’t even care to.
-
Mack Brown really should have quit last week.
-
Let’s see who Freeze throws under the bus this week.
-
Mack Brown might have a stroke if UNC blows this one.
-
Canes lead 2-1 at the end of one. Jaaska puts one away on the breakaway just before time expired.

Got a tough one tonight followed by three very winnable games to close out the season. Would love to get a point tonight and then go on a run. Fourth is still in play if we can get 10 out of these last 12 points. -
Canes pick up right where they left off last night. 1-0 just a few minutes in courtesy of Jackson Blake; assisted by Jaaska and Fensore.
-
Sometimes it’s just your day, everything going right for the Heels to the point that they are picking up first downs on blocked punts now.
-
Mark Williams hurt again… As for the trade I like it better for the TWolves because I think Naz Reid is ready to break out for them and Randle still provides them with the ability to stretch the floor, he’s just a smaller guy than KAT. Also great business by the Hornets, the new GM is doing a great job of facilitating trades and picking up assets like Josh Green and draft picks in the process.
-
For sure but it’s definitely nice to see some new things like a potential Burnsie net front on the PP, more effort to enter the zone rather than dump and chase all the time, guys being willing to get to the middle of the ice, etc. It was nice to see the Canes win a game 8-2 that they should win 8-2.
-
Only Orlov, Gunler, and Martinook failed to record a point tonight. I’ll also say that I think the number one goalie spot is Koochie’s to lose. Andersen is starting to wear down.
-
Canes taking out the young kitties Now 8-2 with a goal from Roslovic assisted by Kotkaniemi and Walker followed by a goal from Carrier assisted by Jaccob Slavin and Burns and finally a goal by Svechnikov assisted by Gostisbehere.
-
5-0 Staal from Carrier and Chatfield
-
Goal number four courtesy of a tip in by Jarvis off a Walker shot, Aho also gets a helper.
-
Canes starting to pull away. First a nifty move from Jarvis with assists from Aho and Chatty then a blast from Walker on the PP with helpers from Burns and Suzuki.
-
Canes up 1-0 at the end of one. They are really making an effort to get the puck in front of the net which is refreshing.
