  1. That was the worst PP I’ve ever seen… Necas decking Kotkaniemi.
  2. After 1: CANES 2 - Connor Bedard’s 0 Goal 1 - Necas (15) from Burns (20) and Stastny (8) Goal 2 - Fast (5) from Pesce (9) and Skjei (9)
  3. Bedard is already wearing a Blackhawks jersey… they look abysmal.
  4. I loved what Mrazek did for the Canes, it’s going to be sad when the Canes chase him from the net tonight.
  5. NACHOS!!! Necas with his 15th, that eclipses his total of 14 from last year!
  6. Kochetkov is on the bench, and Mrazek is in net for the Hawks.
  7. Didn’t want to create another thread for this but we might have another good goalie in the pipeline. Our young German goalie, Nikita Quapp, stopped 42 of 43 shots against Team Sweden today in a 1-0 loss at World Juniors. Sweden won their first game by a score of 11-0 against Austria. Quapp was getting MVP chants from the Canadian crowd. A few other Canes prospects have made their mark in World Juniors as well. Jackson Blake picked up an assist for Team USA last night and Ville Koivunen picked up an assist today for Team Finland.
  8. So not sure what’s going on here, Kochetkov was in the starters crease at the morning skate but Raanta is starting… Hopefully Kochetkov isn’t hurt.
  9. Patches was in a regular sweater today at practice, though he’ll probably just be an extra tonight, his return is imminent.
  10. Donte Jackson used to drive me up the damn wall but at this point I’m ready to give him my achilles. I’m tired of watching Keith Taylor get little boy’d over and over again.
  11. Knowing that Dionte Johnson’s son is our only other option at corner, I don’t think there is anything that Norman can do to piss me off. In fact, I give our front office props for trying their best to solve the problem at hand.
  12. The SI article you linked is part of their fan network… it’s essentially Bleacher Report… and it’s not my fault you didn’t know how to operate the ESPN playoff machine. I figured since you are so good at Googling articles you could figure it out or at the very least use some reading comprehension skills when looking over the tie breaker scenarios in a three team tie.
  13. The point is moot, the Cards lost so there won’t be a three way tie, if anything, there could be a four way tie in which the Panthers would advance. But yes, the playoff machine confirmed the Saints would have advanced in a three team tie. It’s not my fault that you don’t understand how the tiebreakers work. All you do is keep linking fan articles that didn’t factor in a three team tie.
  14. That is all based of a two team tie, not a three team tie.… none of this matters now that the Cards lost, the Panthers can’t clinch next week. But ESPN’s playoff machine confirmed that if there was a three team tie between the Saints, Falcons, and Panthers at 7-10 then the Saints would advance based of the head to head record between all three teams.
  15. To Break A Tie Within A Division If, at the end of the regular season, two or more clubs in the same division finish with identical won-lost-tied percentages, the following steps will be taken until a champion is determined. It says nothing about eliminating a team. Like I said, I’ll trust ESPN over some fan article.
  16. Omg lol… not when there’s a tie among just three of the teams. You don’t look at the wins vs. the Bucs because they aren’t included in the tie breaker. https://www.nfl.com/standings/tie-breaking-procedures Head-to-head (best won-lost-tied percentage in games among the clubs).
  17. That doesn’t matter if there’s a three team tie…. Not sure what you aren’t understanding about that. In a three team tie you don’t just eliminate one of the teams, you look at the head to head record among all three teams. New Orleans would be 3-1 (one loss to the Panthers) Panthers would be 2-2 Falcons would be 1-3 So yes, the Falcons are mathematically eliminated but they can actually help the Saints if they win their remaining two games and create a three way tie.
  18. This one is farrrrr from over. The Saints already blew a game on national tv against the Bucs, the Cardinals might follow suit.
  19. ESPN’s playoff machine lends a different result and I tend to favor them, especially over a a fan article. If you mess with the machine and input the following results: Cards over Bucs Panthers over Bucs Eagles over Saints Falcons over Cardinals Saints over Panthers Falcons over Bucs The Saints, Panthers, and Falcons all finish 7-10 and the Saints advance. If you do these results: Cards over Bucs Panthers over Bucs Eagles over Saints Falcons over Cardinals Saints over Panthers Bucs over Falcons The Panthers advance in a head to head tie over the Saints. In order to advance next week, the Cards need to close this one out, the Panthers need to win, the Eagles need to win, and the Cardinals need to beat the Falcons.
  20. Should have gotten an extra 15 yards on that one.
