For what it’s worth, this game by Williams is better than any game that Duren has had this year.

I actually think Toews is a better fit if we are hell bent on going after one of Chicago’s veterans. We really don’t have any more winger positions available and I’d really like to upgrade the 2C position. I’d do Freddie, Ryan Suzuki (prospect), and a 2nd for Toews (with retainment). Pacioretty - Aho - Teravainen Svechnikov - Toews - Necas Martinook - Staal - Fast Nosen - Kotkaniemi/Stastny - Jarvis Stepan - Kase

Patches will not be back tomorrow but RBA expects him back within the next 10 games. RBA also said that at this point they are just waiting for Andersen to tell them when he feels like he’s 100%.

I’ll be in the minority when I say I don’t mind it.

Drury has been sent back down to Chicago. Patches’ return is imminent and Drury needs games, I suspect we’ll see him replace Stepan next year.

I loved what Mrazek did for the Canes, it’s going to be sad when the Canes chase him from the net tonight.

Didn’t want to create another thread for this but we might have another good goalie in the pipeline. Our young German goalie, Nikita Quapp, stopped 42 of 43 shots against Team Sweden today in a 1-0 loss at World Juniors. Sweden won their first game by a score of 11-0 against Austria. Quapp was getting MVP chants from the Canadian crowd. A few other Canes prospects have made their mark in World Juniors as well. Jackson Blake picked up an assist for Team USA last night and Ville Koivunen picked up an assist today for Team Finland.

So not sure what’s going on here, Kochetkov was in the starters crease at the morning skate but Raanta is starting… Hopefully Kochetkov isn’t hurt.
