    Unfortunately that’s not how it works in the NHL, you can look it up, the NHL along with the NBA has the highest turnover rate for head coaches. Bruce Cassidy had a record of 245-108-46 with the Bruins and took them to game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals. However, he never brought the cup to Boston and he was fired after five and a half years… this is Rod’s fifth year.

    It’s cup or bust for Rod over the remainder of his contract (two more years I think). If he doesn’t bring us a cup then he won’t be back in my opinion. Just look at the success that Cassidy had in Boston, he couldn’t get the job done though and he was let go.
