  1. Lol, you gave me a video of Deebo running a route where the coverage was blown, there’s absolutely nothing there and it’s also not what I asked for. The stats are what they are… Deebo’s average depth of target is 5 yards… end of discussion. I asked for a video of McCaffrey getting shutdown by a nickel corner, it’s clear you can’t provide it so I guess we are done here. And if you are going to use the QB excuse, then I can use the same one as for why McCaffrey hasn’t been involved in the passing game here… it’s not for his lack of being open. I mean let’s not forget that McCafrrey actually worked out as a wide receiver at his pro day. He clearly has the skills to spend some time at the position (not full-time). Like I said, we’ll have to wait until we see how the 49ers use him because the only thing you have done thus far is pigeon hole McCaffrey into a position based off how the worst coaching staff in the NFL used him.
  2. Projected Lines: Teravainen - Aho - Jarvis Svechnikov - Kotkaniemi - Necas Martinook - Staal - Fast Noesen - Stastny - Stepan Slavin - Burns Skjei - Pesce de Haan - Chatfield Raanta Andersen Scratches - Coghlan, Bear Injuries - Kase LTIR - Pacioretty, Gardiner
  3. I don’t know how dence you have to be to not understand that the 49ers don’t have to use McCaffrey the same way that the Panthers used him… what McCaffrey got paid is irrelevant because it wasn’t by his new team… You keep saying a nickel corner would shut McCaffrey down… show me the proof… that’s all I’m asking… shouldn’t be difficult for you if it does truly happen. Not once did I insinuate that McCaffrey could be a full-time receiver. However, he could certainly line up in the slot as well as the outside (for screen passes), he could also be used on jet sweeps. You factor that in with his ability to run inside and outside of the tackles and it’s clear to see that there’s a ton of value in having a player like him. Additionally, the stats say that Deebo has three deep targets all year and historically he does his damage 5 yards beyond the LOS with most of his damage coming on YAC. These are factual stats, unlike just stating an opinion (i.e. McCaffrey would be shut down by a nickel). At this point, all we can do is wait and see how McCaffrey is used by the Niners to gauge who is right and who is wrong. Personally, I hope I’m wrong as if I am, we’ll likely get better draft picks.
  4. Rightfully so… the ROI on Burns is well over what his original draft position was. Two firsts and a sixth, very similar to what Mack got.
  5. That’s easy to say in hindsight… so you hate this draft… that’s fair. What about next years? Caleb Williams, Quinn Ewers, Drake Maye… like any of those?
  6. It’s fun to watch him sit back there and throw, I do hope he uses his legs a bit at the next level. OSU/Michigan should be a good one this year.
  7. Lol, so basically you want to wait and see who balls out in the NFL and say… yeah, that’s my guy, I picked him…
  8. Keep extending the finish line bud… once you get proved wrong you always have another excuse. Iowa’s defense is alway on the field, they have one of, if not the worst offense in P5 football… Ohio State and Stroud went into half time and made adjustments… plain and simple.
  9. How did it age… saying he has a decent test ahead of him when Iowa was 7th in total defense coming into the game is a factual statement…. There wasn’t a single thing stated that was opinion based. If anything, the factual statement shows how good Stroud can be… which I’m fine with because I’m a Stroud supporter… I swear some of the people that quote me don’t have basic reading comprehension skills.
  10. He sucked at 12:45 PM, as of 3:00PM he might be okay, will circle back at 4:00PM… That’s how this thread reads.
  11. Got paid accordingly? He already got paid… by the Panthers… exclusively as a running back… which probably won’t be how San Francisco uses him. And where are the videos of him getting shutdown by a nickel… a number one corner would lock him down… a nickel… unlikely. I literally gave you the stats from 2021 as well… reread it.
  12. Cristobal did the same thing with Herbert as well.
  13. Gotcha, so it’s more of an apathy thing at this point, it can only up from here soooo…
  14. Is life so boring that you post on a Panthers message board with the sole purpose of wanting them to fail? Find a job or hobby or something…
  15. With that attitude we might as well fold the team and quit watching…
  16. Yep, he needs to show the ability to use his legs.
  17. It’s obvious NFL teams care about age… maybe more than they should, but using three guys as an outlier when we recently saw Luck retire early doesn’t help much (our old elite QB, Cam, can’t even get a job). For every elite QB that may play til’ their late 30’s, there’s many more who are done by their early to mid 30’s. If it takes Hooker two years to get adjusted to the NFL game then you are looking at a 27 year old player as your franchise QB, maybe he has 5 to 7 good years in him. On the contrary, Stroud or Young might have 10 years or so in them…
  18. It’s definitely a big game for him, no argument from me there.
  19. This tells me all I need to know… maybe you don’t watch enough college ball. Iowa is 7th in total defense and has only allowed 3 passing TD’s all year, they have a really good secondary. Their offense on the other hand, is atrocious.
  20. So one game makes a player now? Stroud has been historically good and this is a big game for him as Iowa is one of the best defensive teams in college football…. With that said, overreacting to one play or even one game is asinine.
  21. Now I can root for two teams to lose… the Panthers and the Niners.
  22. C’mon man… the second one was fine throw and the type of throw that NFL QB’s make every day, the receiver has to get his head around. Trolling over two throws is fugging foolish.
