  1. I think he’d have to put up Burrow numbers for that to happen. At 25, he’ll be the second oldest QB since 1967 to be drafted in the first round (assuming he is). Edit: he would be the third oldest because the numbers are based on the individuals birthday as of 9/1. I see him going right around where Pickett was taken.
  2. That’s what a team will be hoping for, but I’d bet most teams in the top 10 probably wouldn’t risk it, maybe a team picking in the teens might though. Hypothetically, if a team like Atlanta or Seattle happens to over preform this year and are sitting around #18, I wouldn’t be totally shocked to see Hooker go early (assuming Levis is already gone).
  3. I’ve seen comparison’s to Brissett which seem fairly accurate.
  4. True, but I can find a more glaring holes in Stroud’s and Young’s game (really no fault of their own as one is size and the other is system) than I can find in Williams’, Ewers’, and Maye’s.
  5. His age is definitely a factor, he’ll be 25 before he sets foot on an NFL field and a team with a top 10 pick can’t afford to let him to develop for two years because by then he’s already 27, the team that drafts Hooker is most likely looking for a backup.
  6. The Panthers need to ask the NFL if they can roll over their first overall pick in 23 to 24 lol (yes, I’m banking on the #1 pick). Williams, Maye, and Ewers will be the best class that we’ve seen in a long time.
  7. I think for Stroud, it’s obvious that he benefits from Ohio State’s system… and there’s going to be some things that just aren’t on tape that a GM is going to have to hope that Stroud can do… hit the underneath routes, use his legs in the open field, fit passes into tighter windows, etc… there’s a lot of questions. However, Kevin Wilson has said that Stroud is the smartest QB that he’s coached since Sam Bradford (at Oklahoma), if anyone can break the chain of poor OSU QB’s, I think it’s Stroud. It’s just a risk that you have to be willing to take… and there’s risks with every single one of the QB’s that will be in the 2023 draft.
  8. There’s a couple of factors to take into the yards per separation… 1. Ohio State’s OL is elite and they give Stroud ALL DAY to throw the ball, because of that, OSU runs a ton of deep routes. 2. Because OSU runs a ton of deep routes, their wide outs will ultimately create more separation, the longer the route and the longer the overall time of the play, the more likely it is that separation will occur… college DB’s just aren’t good enough to consistently cover for long periods of time. 3. The result is that Stroud’s adjusted yards per attempt is 13.0 yards per attempt, the second highest total since 1956.
  9. Stroud will have a decent test this week, Iowa’s defense has only given up 3 TD passes in six games.
  10. Markstrom has been just as bad as Campbell, hopefully we can get after him early.
  11. McCaffrey doesn’t have to do that because that’s not how Deebo is used lol… catching a couple deep balls on the outside does not make you a deep threat… and just because we haven’t seen McCaffrey lined up on the outside doesn’t mean he’s not capable of it. I haven’t won the lottery… that doesn’t mean it’s not possible. You are acting like Samuel is a deep threat, he is not… From 2020: From 2021: Deebo’s ADOT is 5.1 yards and he had 3 deep targets all year for an average of 0.5 deep targets per game…
  12. I honestly have no idea, they haven’t really given us much to go off of, it’ll also be interesting to see how Terry’s ankle is tomorrow.
  13. Hayward might mess around and put up a career year this season… he should get a lot of shots this year.
  14. Decent effort, aren’t going to win any games when you get outshot by 20 at the free throw line though.
  15. If we’re gonna give up 30 points and 17 boards to Valanciunas, we might as just play Williams.
  16. If Miles does come back then it probably played out the best that it possibly could have for the Hornets. Longer his case gets delayed the more the general population will forget about it.
